- This week we put the new Xpointer from Quest with its fancy magic holster. I didnt like it and i think there was a few issues i didnt really get on with but as we always say we will keep on using it and see if it warms to us, if not it will be thrown into the giveaway ha.
we spent a day up on our York Permission hunting for some of the history we have yet to find, hope you all enjoy.

@@rickhill4766 Lol last weekend after a good five hours of swinging my Nox 800 I had to ring my Mrs and tell her that I too had been struck savagely by a soil snake and the only antidote down here in the West Country for that sort of thing is at least five tins of gold, Thatchers gold 👍🏻love the show Rick and would love to spend a couple of outings with you, impossible so keep the videos coming 😁

Magic holster is a patent from the Russian company pinpoint Sphinx 02 Magnetic 2021, quest brazenly stole the patent, and Quest is awaiting trial.

My opinion is that it's better that it doesn't pick up all over the stem. Since you push straight down you will know exactly where the find is and how deep it is. If it's stone hard clay, the carrot would be better detecting chunks of dirt that you quarter. Watch the video and you see what I mean.
I guess it's down to how I use a garret always and so used to using it :-) 😀
No bad at all guys. A couple of nice bits between yous. Mike, was great to see you enjoying the pointer 😆 I get annoyed on a regular basis with poor design. It's a bit weird to have a large void in detection and then pick up again further up the shaft. Can't beat a Carrot 😉

@@TheMetalDetectingChannel once you get used to it, its great, no gaps on the pointer, it detects all the way to the grip and in dual tone lets you know about the iron possibly missed on the machine, battery life is also very long 🫣
I hate mine mate! Really do! Never spent so much time pinpointing! Even the knockoff garretts on wish are better😂

Awesome video guys I was going to get one of those pointers but I got the xp mi4 instead I’m glad I did even tho the mi4 can be a pain to turn off without changing the settings sometimes 😂😂🤣🤣
Haha I've a xp mi4 as well and it's 100 x better than the quest
Pinpoint is a bit strange mind lads isnt it! Makes life harder in my opinion.. ill stick with my mi-4 and minelab as a back up
