AWESOME video and thank you for posting it. I thought that the increased vibration and noise from my furnace was in my head but after I watched this video I had the guts to call a technician for help. Turns out there was a piece of insulation stuck in the blower motor! Thank YOU!
Any premier style furnace I come across gets recommended for replacement. Those things are dangerous and it doesn’t matter if it has the nox rods. I won’t even fix it for ac.
I could see why you would choose to do that. They are not the safest. I always check if they are on the recalled list first. Then inform the customer and let them decide.
@@theairconditioningguy the problem isn't necessarily the nox rods, its the heat exchanger it self. Next time you see one look at the two ends where the half moon shape is. The factory designed it be an expansion joint. Now if you know what metal does when you bend it back and forth, it will crack or break. If you want to be 100% certain take a sprayer with water and wet the inside of the heat exchanger and inspect all the welds from the burner area. 9 time out of ten it will leak. If water gets through while the metal is cold just imagine what the air stream can do while its hot. It can either pull in CO or push against the flame and come out into the attic space. If you have never looked up the premier furnace on Google, I would suggest it. There are several articles about over 250,000 homes burning down due to these furnaces. Good luck in your future projects.
I've known about premier furnaces for many years and the fires they've caused. Thank you for your concern and the information. I'll take it under advisement.
My apartment building has the HVAC blowers install in the ceiling of bathroom. When my downstairs neighbor turn on their heater or AC, my bathroom floor vibrates, and I can hear loud 120Hz resonance in my bedroom. I was wondering if that is also due to dirty blower?
I live in Santa Monica. Recently my neighbor complains that he can hear the vibration from my heating unit going on and off at nite that is located under the roof in the small attic. I live in a townhouse and we share a common wall. It is a Duncane furnace 50000 BTU. I had it installed 4 years ago. Not sure what can be done! Thanks
Sadly I don't service your area, but perhaps you could explain to another company what the problem is just like you did to me. I would recommend suspending the furnace from the roof rafters because I suspect they rested the furnace on some type of stands. Then I would add some duct board underneath the furnace. This will help to muffle the sound from the furnace. I hope this helps! Please do not hesitate to contact me with anymore questions.
They're should be a plug at the unit. Some are hardwired and you'll see a regular light switch instead. Or you could look for a breaker at your circuit breaker panel labeled FAU. If you can't find it then turn on the fan mode ot the thermostat and switch off the breakers one by one until you see which one turns off the furnace. When you do, don't forget to label it.
@@theairconditioningguy question when the ac turns on but fan just makes a humming sound noisy ..could it be that the blower fan motor is inop? Or could it be a Capacitor…now no noise comes on

Thank you for watching! I'm glad it wasn't a major repair.
Makes a "Wobbler" Everytime!! 👍👍
I recently replaced the motor and cleaned the wheel on one of those types of furnaces. Here we call them "coffin furnaces", great video Juan!
Name makes sense. 😆
I've spent I don't know how many hours of my life cleaning those lol, Great video as always!
As soon as I saw vibrating I clicked.
😲
When you go back to clean the coil, just take the top part of the transition off (open pittsburgh and remove).
Great idea, thank you. I'll make sure and mention you in that video.
Good content, very useful info. Thanks for posting.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video! Mine is vibrating and I was looking for possible causes.
Thank you for watching!
Always enjoy your videos.
thank you

Awesome video. Wow just shows how important those respirators are… the mask was filthy by the end of the video. Good stuff!

Yes, very likely.
Good video content
Ha,you didn’t even see the raccoon 🦝 in the background! Watch your back brother!!😎😳😂
😆😂🤣😬
That was my helper.
Is there a video for cleaning the evaporator coils on that unit?
Thank you for watching. No but I might do one in the future.
Showed how quiet it was after you cleaned the motor! Why not show how noisy it was prior to fix?
I know I forgot to record that part I'm sorry. I actually wasn't even going to record. Kind of a last minute thing. Next time for sure.

Depends on the type of motor. Could be that the motor went out or the capacitor is bad.
Oh and no pookie, no problem!
Going back to clean evaporator coil. I'll either put mastic tape or pookie
Hopefully youll get to replace at some point. Sucks you guys have so many attics. We have some in Colorado. Also basements and crawlspaces.
