      Not as good as the LG Gram 16 2022 IMO. The Gram doesn't have OLED but the screen is still pretty vibrant and is taller and higher resolution. Bigger battery, extra USB-A port too.

    Great review! I assume those noise readings are measured with all cores fully loaded. Do the fans spin at all when the system is idling? I hate laptops that inhale dust all day long and eventually fail due to overheating or similar...

    Great review! I bought this laptop a few days ago and I'm loving it! It plays Fallout 4 at 60fps, Rise of the tomb raider at a reasonable frame rate on mid-high settings, and GTA 5 runs beautifully at medium settings. PCSX2, PPSSPP and Dolphin emulation run flawlessly. I'm getting very good battery life out of this thing as well!

    I have been considering this laptop as a possible replacement for my Acer Swift 3. I use my laptop mostly for office work (dozens of tabs open) with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, with some light gaming and mostly watching media content. I am a hardcore Samsung user (with phone, tab, buds and watch) so I definitely am in the ecosystem and this might just complete my Galaxy Collection. However, I wonder what certain exclusively "Samsung ecosystem" type of benefits will this have? So far in this video I've seen you use Samsung Flow which, even with my Acer laptop I can perfectly use to pair with my Samsung phone or tablet?
    Besides those things I mentioned above I reallt value lightness and portability as my job involves frequent travels and with my phone, tab and other accessories always with me I'd like to just bring a light-weight laptop.

    1. does the keyboard have wobble or flutter? (what about the whole trackpad / keyboard area? does it have flutter like Lenovo E15 or phavilion 15?) i have dell insperion 5559 (from the year of 8th gen intel), and the keyboard and trckpad are perfect, extremely suttle.
    2. Is the fact that there is slightly big bezel on the buttom noticeable? Does it make the laptop look less premium/ luxurious?

    hello Matthew, great review as always. If i didn't have a laptop already, I probably would consider this but I don't like that i'm heading towards a samsung ecosystem. I'm only missing the Samsung watch and a samsung laptop. I have the tablet and such. However, they don't sell these laptops in my country. I guess in terms of laptops, they're not very well known here (I'm from Malaysia). Plus, there are cheaper alternatives that always gets the gold, ranging from Lenovo to acer to Asus. MacBooks take even a lesser percentile (not their iPads and iPhones though, they do surprisingly well here)but in the top range, I would say, Dell is doing pretty well. MSI laptops at one point but i'm not too sure now.
    Anyway, I wish they did sell it here. I was aiming for the Galaxy Pro 360 initially since i do a lot of drawing but their android tablets are fine. I got that. pretty happy with it. I think I have too much tech on me now. Getting an iPad Air otw from a friend and I use a macbook pro intel vers for work but i game music and video production on my custom clevo laptop (love the insides, kinda meh on the outside chassis).
    I wish that quickshare was on multiplatform though and not only to their laptops. However, i guess they got that from apple's handbook on keeping it close. However, if anyone is trying to find alternatives, try rdrop(dot)link . it's P2P and only in your network for file transfer. So far, no problem. snapdrop is pretty cool too but i find rdrop works well even with a few gigs worth of data.

    • @abcrm101
      @abcrm101 2 года назад

      Actually I think that I would gladly accept the ecosystem of Samsung, but not the ecosystem of Apple.
      An ecosystem brings you so much convenience. However, what I like about Samsung's ecosystem is that it is not closed, unlike that of Apple.
      Currently, I am using a Samsung phone, a Samsung tablet, Samsung earbuds (it came for free), a Hp laptop, and a Hp printer. They work well together.
      I would not recommend Lenovo because it is a Chinese company. There is data security issue regarding Lenovo laptops (and other Chinese laptop companies like Realme and Huawei). Asus, Acer and MSI, on the other hand, have worse laptop build quality, and these companies provide very poor warranty service (I searched for statistics for customer reviews around the globe, but you could Google this and see if this applies to your region). From what I see, poor build quality and bad warranty services apply to Microsoft and Razer also.
      Some people say that Hp offers horrible warranty service, but I found out the situation was better for Hp in my region, so I chose Hp at last.

It would be great in your reviews if you could consistently test out the speakers. Many laptops have very poor speakers!

    Thank you for your review, it helped my decision and just bought the Book2 Pro 15.6" to replace an Acer Swift 5, which I really liked due to light weight and zippy quiet performance, however screen broke twice in two years. The Galaxy blows it out of the water, it has about the same weight yet larger beautiful OLED screen, much brighter and better, the sound quality really impressed me, being also very quiet and even faster. The keyboard required getting used to with the shorter travel, but like how silent it is. I had a Samsung laptop in the past that was the worst ever and was a little reluctant to buy this one. However if it keeps performing and the screen doesn't break or nothing else fails, could be my best laptop. All my previous laptops had touchscreen and pen, but never used it, didn't see the need to get the 360.

    • @htenthusiast2897
      @htenthusiast2897 2 года назад

      @fahad sheji it has been running very well. I love the lightweight with the large screen, imagine I had a Swift5 with a small 14” that weighted almost the same. The colors of the Amoled are very natural, adjusted accordingly, never use the max brightness, and most importantly it is fast, mine is i5, almost never running the fan, which is quiet. This week I had a weird freeze and had to force reboot then saw it began running updates. I hope the screen doesn’t have issues over time, the Swift broke twice in two years.

    • @htenthusiast2897
      @htenthusiast2897 2 года назад

      @fahad sheji probably depends on settings, I only used it on battery for 3-4 hours with my regular settings and was down to about 50%. I don’t believe a laptop with this weight and large screen can last 10 hours.

    @Matthew. Incoming Rant that I would love to see you address. The main use case question for the Intel 1260p upgrade is...are the use of efficiency cores increasing battery life? I don't see that addressed anywhere on the internet so I guess those efficiency cores are not enhancing battery life. How in the heck do you add for efficiency cores and not offer an efficiency core only mode to extend battery life while consuming video? I mean...WTF? Also I totally disagree with you on the aspect ratio. Thin and light laptops are more for media consumption not content creation, in which case the wide aspect ratio is far superior for video watching. Yes I am aware of the availability of the S7+ and S8+ tablets with long battery life and even better displays for pure media consumption....but case in point...me typing this.... the typing experience even with the keyboard folio is just not great ...even compared to these thin and light Pro360 keyboards. The tablets are also just NOT STABLE in a lap. The 360 pro is superior in almost any mode you use (of the 3 orientation options) compared to holding a tablet in your lap. And with a larger tablet like the + series.....they aren't very good to be held either. So we are in a weird situation where the tablets are almost limited to a desk top or solid surface while the way shorter battery life laptops are better for the lap (where you don't have a cord....see what I am getting at here???) I am still waiting for an actual laptop with full fat windows and longer battery life so that I don't have to juggle between a laptop and a tablet all day to get both a better typing experience and a longer battery life. Performance meh....I run this thing in the lowers power use mode for the use case of a thin and light as it is. Perhaps if they made an android based "tablet" with an attached 360 keyboard and MUCH longer battery life I would be happy to that..... but does anyone make that? And no...I don't want to throw money away on a chromebook.

      Hey Muhammad, thanks for watching! I'm using this mic during the summer. Neighbouring AC is quite loud and the Dynamic mic close to my mouth does a better job of cutting out the AC noise. I'm oscillating between MacBook Air M1 and GalaxyBook2Pro. I'm windows user, I make music using also a computer. I kinda doubt in overall slim design of Samsung. Hm. There are several controversies that I really don't like: Paying a lot for 12th Gen powerful processor that is cut in power to keep fans silent?
    Superamoled screen is nice but the screen assembly looks extremely wobbly. I don't know. There are Pros also: Upgradeable SSD, Big screen, better connectivity. I don't know!

      My 08 MacBook finally gave out and my HP probook’s harddrive crashed.
      I know the Samsung is a model behind, but it’s still a great little laptop!
      Anyways, I ended up buying the Samsung and the M2 MacBook Air.
      Got Samsung on sale and the MacBook Air was less than the M2 Pro. So win win!

    Yes, at best an ultrabook and best suited to non-intensive workflows. In fact, with that awkward aspect ratio, more of a consumption device than for work. I think Samsung has rushed it out, one of the first 12th-gen, as they do with their phones, to try and get the early movers and shakers yearning for the latest 12th gen. That means that we do not get the new ARC GPUs in nearly every region, so missing that edge it could have had, although early doors the ARC350M doesn't look like a revolution, an MX450+ rather than something that will shake the market up.
    Not sure I would pay anything near the asking price, last year's model lost around 50% value after 2-3 months, so although there will be fewer takers (once bitten...) I suspect some deals incoming sooner than later. Being an owner of #1 I would say wait and get a 2.5K, 90Hz OLED as a bunch of these ultrabooks will be arriving and likely to have an AMD mix, that clearly is a better all-rounder than these 12th-gens. I am not sold on 15-inch 1080p OLED due to the pixel arrangement making it a bit blurry at FHD+.

    • @abilawaandamari8366
      @abilawaandamari8366 2 года назад

      Honestly I don't think any of the Samsung laptops are that good for intensive type of work. Other than it looks slick and clean and also light I don't see why it would be any better than the competitors. It's strictly for business, but honestly with the pricing I'm not sure why you won't just get a ThinkPad or something

    • @andyH_England
      @andyH_England 2 года назад

      @@abilawaandamari8366 Yes, Samsung phones are known for form over function and they built up a fan base with this MO. Trying it now with laptops but so far a bit of a disaster with QLED being abandoned after a year due to poor quality miniLED, and now using cheap single-pane OLED with base specs. They are not bad, Samsung has provided nearly 30 firmware updates in the last year on my Galaxy Book Pro to change a very rough laptop into an average one, but not really pushing boundaries and strictly for low-power workloads.

    • @super_hero2
      @super_hero2 2 года назад +1

      @@andyH_England To be fair, the Book2 Pro is the thinnest and probably lightest laptop while still maintaining a good battery life out there, the only competitor that I know of is the LG Gram which is significantly thicker. No matter what people say, look matters, thin, light matter these are why the Book2 Pro price will be higher than similar specs ASUS, HP, LG.... laptops.
      In my opinion, if you don't need the power, just get the Book Pro last year model they are pretty cheap sometimes around $600 - $700.

      This is typically rushed by Samsung. The 16:9 and only HD resolution means few people will buy this for work (office, productivity), browsing etc This is purely for watching Netflix and casually browsing. The LG Gram is superior with 16:10 and 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. No brainer.

      It depends on what you need. Battery life, fan noise, heat management, build quality the MacBook is mile ahead. The MBA has 2k+ display while the Book2 Pro has OLED but 1080p. The Book2 Pro is ahead in size and weight, 30% better multi-score. The Book2 Pro is 100-200 more expensive.
      In my opinion, the MBA is still a better choice for most people due to its build quality and resale value. The Book2 Pro would be more attractive if there is a discount for about $300.

    1. Is the fact that there is slightly big bezel on the buttom noticeable? Does it make the laptop look less premium/ luxurious?
    2. does the keyboard have wobble or flutter? (what about the whole trackpad / keyboard area? does it have flutter like Lenovo E15 or phavilion 15?) i have dell insperion 5559 (from the year of 8th gen intel), and the keyboard and trckpad are perfect, extremely suttle.
