Alright I have a question My grades are really bad because I'm taking all 9th grade classes but I'm supposed to be in 7th. While yeah I dont do my work it's more because I get so overwhelmed that I dont see any reason in doing it. I need to know if I'm in the wrong here
@@ericflores7064 I agree, family expectation is a COLOSSAL problem. Looking back at elementary and early middle school days I mostly passed to satisfy my parents. But when that started to become impossible it felt as though I had no motive.. The concept of grades in general is mind boggling. Feels like being compared to the quality of meat.. Grade A meat, Grade C meat etc. Legitimately the same thing if you take the word "meat" and replace it with student
sadly school is now about grades than learning. we learn for tests, and not to retain the info, once we get our score back on the test, we simply don’t care for the material anymore because we have to pack our brains full of more info.
Same... I used to actually be happy to go to school in the morning but now? I feel like it’s now a chore. I’m literally in tears from so much stress, I’m only in my freshman year of high school and it’s my goal to be an A plus student, but so many damn problems get in my way, I’m cursed with “technical difficulties” and I’m built up with 8 hours of homework a day. God, why does this have to happen to me, I’m such a faliure 😥 😭😭
I’m struggling with similar things (and I’m a freshman as well). I feel crippled by stress, feel the fear of judgement, and my lack of perseverance. It makes me have so many breakdowns and I end up crying a lot. You’re not a failure, though.

I oddly took the same approach with tests just looking at it as “gameday” or a chance to “beat the test” so to speak. Interesting to see someone else feel the same lol
I remember when I used to love going to school so much that when ever I missed the school bus I would cry because I couldn't see my friends but now I'm just under so much stress that I had to look for videos that could help me cope with my stress better

I'm in the same boat! I'm testing in 10 days and I felt a change in my mentality from "oh man this test is gonna suck" to "bring it on" a huge plus and boosted me 6 points in my practice FL! I hope you did well on your test and we're both gonna kill it :)
Sejal I. C/P was pretty challenging, more so than any of the full lengths. Timing was a bit off on that section. The other 3 were not too bad. B/b felt my strongest and CARS normally has me short for time but i finished it with some time to spare this time. Gonna find out my score on the 25th so i’m hoping for the best!

Stress Management is so important. After panicking and having a few breakdowns, I discovered Yoga and it has changed my life. Organization and planning as you mentioned is always the key to living a stress-free life.

Thank you sooo much! it helped so much, to relieve stress people recommend dancing, meditation, taking yourself out , talking to friends but doing so you have to leave your studies, and during exams I can't do that. Today morning I had a mental breakdown ( only friend saw) So what happened is, online classes went on. I didn't even touch a bit. 10th grade is really important. I didn't understand. I was trying in online classes but teachers move too fast. Today morning I was so disinterested, stressed and anxious about school. I can't talk with mom. She thinks I don't want to study. BUT WHAT CAN I DO? I AM TRYING! EVERYONE ARE GOING TOO FAST AND I CAN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING! ugh, thinking about it makes me cry again. I cried in front of my friend and told her everything ( I never cry normally so she's shocked) so we made a study schedule and started studying but again. Stupid ME! TEACHER IS GIVING US NOTES! I always wanted to write notes myself but notes is for teachers not for us. Lol. I couldn't study even in my free time cuz of this. I studied from the morning now it's 18:02 and I have a lot of notes to write and plus study those too since I told u didn't even touch a bit of the syllabus and the teachers already completed half of the syllabus. Damn it. I'm so stressed I need a week of break. Yes, I wasted a lot of time before but If I didn't get atleast a day rest ( or I don't need a day rest at all, atleast I want online classes instead of school cuz it makes me anxious for some reason) I think I'll die with stress. I'm 14.i know. But I am not able to handle this. Call me dumb or smtng. Idc. I just wanted to share things with someone. And my friend is there for me. Edit after 8 months : looking back at how I used to feel stressed, I'm really proud of my past self for enduring it. Nowadays my sleep schedule is bad and physical health is.. Ugh. But I will get normal after exams conducted by school are over. I'm not stressed anymore tho, I hope y'all don't be too hard on yourselves. Venting is really important. I deleted apps I can also use on the laptop and installed a app that doesn't unlock RUclips and this stuff until I say I finished my stuff. Maybe you can listen to Merry go around from Howls castle, it helped me to calm down and I got two chapters of math through. Much love and luck xd

Stress messes with my digestive system, and on tests i always have embarrassing stomach noises, and before the test i go to the bathroom once every hour, it genuinely sucks and feels so defeating. I am going to share something that worked for me,Everytime I révise or prépare myself for a test or something,I always see it as if it is a story,and What I mean is that I Think to myself that I need to train to prépare for the battle ahead,I know it sounds stupide but when I was using it nothing else worked,using this technique helped me make the situation Fun and so removed a lot of the stress,I also was trying that mindful approche and it has worked when I had just taken a surgery,Hope this helps

The other day I was stressing soo much about med school (would I get in, am I doing enough to put on my resume, I feel like I’m wasting time, etc.) I feel like this video was uploaded at the perfect time! I find mindfulness really helpful also. I started meditating and doing yoga because of the COVID crisis, and I feel as if I changed in a good way.

I remember when I used to love going to school so much that when ever I missed the school bus I would cry because I couldn't see my friends but now I'm just under so much stress that I had to look for videos that could help me cope with my stress better

Sejal I. C/P was pretty challenging, more so than any of the full lengths. Timing was a bit off on that section. The other 3 were not too bad. B/b felt my strongest and CARS normally has me short for time but i finished it with some time to spare this time. Gonna find out my score on the 25th so i’m hoping for the best!

Today morning I had a mental breakdown ( only friend saw)
So what happened is, online classes went on. I didn't even touch a bit. 10th grade is really important. I didn't understand. I was trying in online classes but teachers move too fast. Today morning I was so disinterested, stressed and anxious about school. I can't talk with mom. She thinks I don't want to study. BUT WHAT CAN I DO? I AM TRYING! EVERYONE ARE GOING TOO FAST AND I CAN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING! ugh, thinking about it makes me cry again. I cried in front of my friend and told her everything ( I never cry normally so she's shocked) so we made a study schedule and started studying but again. Stupid ME! TEACHER IS GIVING US NOTES! I always wanted to write notes myself but notes is for teachers not for us. Lol. I couldn't study even in my free time cuz of this. I studied from the morning now it's 18:02 and I have a lot of notes to write and plus study those too since I told u didn't even touch a bit of the syllabus and the teachers already completed half of the syllabus. Damn it. I'm so stressed I need a week of break. Yes, I wasted a lot of time before but If I didn't get atleast a day rest ( or I don't need a day rest at all, atleast I want online classes instead of school cuz it makes me anxious for some reason) I think I'll die with stress. I'm 14.i know. But I am not able to handle this. Call me dumb or smtng. Idc. I just wanted to share things with someone. And my friend is there for me.
Edit after 8 months : looking back at how I used to feel stressed, I'm really proud of my past self for enduring it. Nowadays my sleep schedule is bad and physical health is.. Ugh. But I will get normal after exams conducted by school are over. I'm not stressed anymore tho, I hope y'all don't be too hard on yourselves. Venting is really important. Talk to your favourite teacher or your mom or your friend or anyone. It really helps. I'm 15 now hehe
Edit 2 : My 10th exams for cancelled fortunately. I'm in 11th now and I'm again, really proud of how far I've come. I still am slow but I don't procrastinate much. I can study well but they're going too fast. But it ain't thatttt stressing

I deleted apps I can also use on the laptop and installed a app that doesn't unlock RUclips and this stuff until I say I finished my stuff. Maybe you can listen to Merry go around from Howls castle, it helped me to calm down and I got two chapters of math through. Much love and luck xd

Stress messes with my digestive system, and on tests i always have embarrassing stomach noises, and before the test i go to the bathroom once every hour, it genuinely sucks and feels so defeating. I am going to share something that worked for me,Everytime I révise or prépare myself for a test or something,I always see it as if it is a story,and What I mean is that I Think to myself that I need to train to prépare for the battle ahead,I know it sounds stupide but when I was using it nothing else worked,using this technique helped me make the situation Fun and so removed a lot of the stress,I also was trying that mindful approche and it has worked when I had just taken a surgery,Hope this helps

Meditation can help to reduce my stress. I give myself alone time (no music, quiet time) to meditate, relax, practice deep breathing, and a peaceful mind 5-10 mins every morning when I wake up. Stay Healthy! Best wishes!
