Missed you Alex! Enjoyed hearing your ideas and works in progress update. I miss your “10 patterns for 1.5 yds of fabric” or “10 patterns for summer tops” or “10 high end dupes” type videos that you used to do. You have such a good eye for matching up patterns to fabrics. Hope to see some of those in 2024? ❤ Suzanne
I might do a few of them this year. The last few Vogue collections were not really calling out my name but I might do a few of the ten patterns with very little fabric because it's a good way to get rid of remnants that we ALL have.
So glad to see you again! 🥰 Pants are definitely tricky. Have you watched Patti’s tissue fitting method? I love that method that when I did it for the first time my pants fit like a glove! Yes … please would love to see all your sew alongs! 😍 Still working on getting setup for my classes and sewing like a mad woman. Spring is coming needing some new dresses. ❤ talk to you on the other side! 🙌🏻🤓
I have tried the Palmer Pletsch method. It is just hard with pants and trying to fit myself in front of a mirror... and then when the fabric is meant to be stretching... it's challenging for sure. Can't wait to hear all about your sewing classes.
Hmmm, I don't! I would try a Palmer Pletsch pants pattern first and then adjust the seat / crotch curve. I usually have to adjust for the Puerto Rican booty so I would think it wouldn't be too bad. Also, I highly recommend the TDCO method of fitting pants. It just gets tricky if you have a pair of pants that is very tapered. I love the Lander pants but I hardly have to adjust them since there since the crotch curve hits me just right.
@@MassonLifestyle may do both, but have a skirt cut out with that pocket detail, so it’s the jacket I’m going for. Thinking of using some rayon/cotton flannel I found at JoAnns. Every once and a bit they’ve got something unique and good.
@@craftymystic4868 I agree with you on that. I’ve gotten Cupro from them, Lyocell Twill and a just last December a really nice Rayon Ponte Knit which is surprising but I’ll take it.
Alex, I have a few Burda patterns but, haven't sew one up yet. Do you think they run large in sizing or are they true to their measurements? Alex, I have missed you.
Happy to hear that you are doing well
I like the idea of doing them all. It would be like a mini learn-to-sew course.
i vote make them all!
cleaning out sewing room ! getting ready to sell a bunch of my sewing stuff !

Yes sew along would be great.

Hello Alex, I have missed you, glad to see you back. I would like to know if you know of a good pants pattern for individual with flat seat.😄

V1996 is on my table, too…….love it! Nice to see you back.
I'm curious...Are you making the jacket or the pants?

Hi Mary! They are actually true to size.
