    I did a double scoop cake pop, like a double scoop ice cream cone. The top scoop was pink and the bottom scoop was purple. I used longer sticks to accommodate the extra cake pop. You have to make the top pop a little smaller than the bottom one, so it's not too top heavy. They turned out great!

    Thanks for your great video - I really enjoyed it! I love how you set up an assembly line - just how I work too!
    The last time I made princess cake pops I had a terrible experience! I was rushed for time and I think what went wrong was the amount of frosting and not chilling them enough... At the time though, I thought the problem was the ready cake mix that I had used - I always make my own cake. Since then, I got a tip to substitute frosting with ganach - it binds and sets solid, and keeps the cake together without any risks of accidents... I now have a new challenge - to make unicorn cake pops for my grand daughter's birthday... Wish me luck please.

    I've been watching many cake pop how to video's. Yours i found to be the most informative! Do u think a double boiler on low heat would be similar to the melting pot you use? And could i dip and roll the pops into sprinkles vs spooning over? Or would that cause issues?
    Thanks

    I purchased the Wilton candy melting pot and chopped the candy melts into smaller pieces. I put 1/2 the bag at a time and I’m 15 minutes into waiting for it to melt and its still not at a liquid consistency. Is that normal or should I exchange the pot? I didn’t know that it would take so long to melt one bag of candy melts.

    Hey Jenny! I'm going to try these out tomorrow for a birthday party on Monday. How long do you let them dry standing-up before putting them "upside down" for display on a cake tray or serving plate. I want them to dry standing up, so that they are a round ball and don't have that flat bottom, but I'm envisioning them falling over when I try to display them on the cake pop end. Thanks again for the video, I love trying your recipes!

      I do not like to see bakers who touch their hair while doing instructional videos . I watch a couple of baking shows on tv and it has shown their hair on the cakes when they move them.Their hair needs to be tied all the way back, not having any pieces of hair hanging over while they are decorating or baking. That is so not clean.

    How do you get your balls not to fall off the stick? I stick the end of the stick in the candy melt, then let harden, then dip the entire ball, but the candy melt pulls the ball off the stick!

    • @MrAgracia1989

    • @kidscraftsfamilyfun2007

      Your cake mixture might be too moist. You could try adding less buttercream to your mix.

    • @cattybabbe
      @cattybabbe 5 лет назад

      Your cake balls may also be too big and heavy to hold on the stick. Try making the balls smaller and see if that will help. Good luck!

    Hi Jenny, I have a problem with the sticks when I make them ahead of time. After a day, the stick is discolored, about an inch or so, like the oil or moisture is leaking through the stick, is that normal?

    • @jenndavis2578
      @jenndavis2578 9 лет назад +2

      +Marie Mae Tacugue I am a cake popper and I never put oil in my cake mix when making cake pops. Many of the cake poppers I follow on social media substitute it with applesauce but I just skip the ingredient and never had any issues with discolored sticks.

      Hey Nicola, Wilton candy melts can be very tricky. Use coconut oil or paramount crystal to help thin it out and make it workable. Oil, butter or shortening is no good, will make it harder to use and once the candy dries will leave a whiteish coating over the melt. Hope this helps!

    • @BMell74
      @BMell74 6 лет назад +1

      Olivia Rivera You can use a little bit of vegetable oil or shortening to thin out the melts. Some of Wiltons chocolate melts do not melt good. Black, red, and purple seem to melt very thick so u need to add oil to thin it out.

    • @wcndl
