I learned something a few years ago that has proven quite helpful. Mag followers are designed to present a certain cartridge at the optimum angle. If you're using M193 in a USGI mag, the old black followers present them at the optimum angle. But M855 requires a different angle, hence the green followers. M855A1 requires a much different angle for obvious reasons. Some companies try to do it all with one follower, but they may not have it exactly right for that particular rifle.
@@donwyoming1936 This makes a good point because it is true that some mags work better with rifles than others. It's best to find mags that suit your rifle and ammo.
You better hope it's a feed ramp issue and not a out of battery detonation due to the locking lugs not being secured into the chamber due to the roll pin near the bolt face coming out. FYI one of the main warranty issues with BCA.
Any rifle can be made to run. Sadly most buyers are comment commandos and have no real world build experience past pushing in two pins. The AR platform is correctible, repairable, and upgradable. That said, the AR platform, the operation of the Direct Impingement, bolt carrier group, spring, and buffer, was designed to be shouldered. BCA makes quality products, but they do not pay a lot of bearded, tatted up dudes, to scream about them. Spend your money on that Danny Defender, and let it sit in your safe, so you can say you have it. Or, buy a PSA or BCA, do some basic maintenance, and buy 1000 rounds of ammo and learn your rifle. Or you can just keep denigrating other brands to make yourself feel better.
Amen too that shit. I have a really nice mid tier rifle with quite a bit sunk into but it's still a tool. I do t baby any of my shit but honestly man for the money spent you're 110 percent correct, psa and bear creek make solid shit and both can be tweaked and tuned if neccessary or just because you want to. Been doin it for years and my truck gun is actually a bastard of both psa and bca along with some small upgrades for my preference to make the overall system more to my liking. My hunting rifles are the same way.
@@mannygonzalez2868 I believe he thinks a BCA is better than a DD.... I'm not sure how to even respond to that lol It's like comparing Harbor Freight hand tools to Snap On... 🤷♂
I learned with the first AR that I ever owned, and it was a Colt,.....when you first but your AR, regardless of make, ....take out the bolt and Rem oil the snot out of it. Then manually manipulate the bolt in your hand. You would not believe all of the crap that comes out of your oil ports . Do this over and over , respraying new rem oil I to the oil ports, the work the bolt some more. Before long, the oil that comes out of the ports is clean, and you'll notice that the bolt aperture slides down and turns flawlessly. After I did this, I've never had another jam in any of my ARs👍
Haters gonna hate. $350 (WITH transfer) full BCA build in 556 and 300blk and at least 1500rds through it and NO issues but hey... Haters and their Gucci guns can kick rocks
I have more than 2 but I always keep AR.22 (CMMG Bravo kit) scattered all around the house, that's the best combo for home defense since it has little to no recoil and shotguns hidden on a few other places.
@@RevelSun screws should be staked in the gas key on the bcg they are on mine it's a BCA the only thing I've heard people having problems coming loose is the screws holding the barrel shroud on and first thing I did when I got mine was torque the crap out of them
@mikehoncho3099 yeah we saw that as well, and staking was the fix. I really hope they fix their issues. That being said if their quality control hasn't changed by now it likely won't.
So here's my assessment on Bear Creek Arsenal: I own two uppers from them. One being a 10.5" free float MLOK chambered in 5.55 NATO, and the other is a 20" A2 style upper with a detachable carry handle. They both function for me, although the screws on the 10.5" started to come out during my initial operational testing. This was resolved using some blue Loctite. The 20" upper initially had some issues feeding, but after applying an excessive amount of CLP to the critical upper parts, it ate everything I fed it. Are they budget tier products? Yes, they are. Is their Quality Control in need of improvement? I would say so. Between my experience and the countless reviews I have seen on RUclips and read online, my personal opinion is that no company in the business of firearms should have quality control measures that are all over the map. They should be consistent for the most part. As the old saying goes: "Caveat Emptor"
No they don’t. You only think they do because you don’t know anything about guns or you don’t own any other AR. If ya did you would 100% say BCA is garbage
I love watching all of this crying from guys that got sucked into buying the expensive stuff and the guy who bought 3 for the same price and love them 😂😂😂
My first ever ar was a bca 7.62x39 upper on a psa lower. To be clear, I replaced the factory firing pin with an enhanced firing pin from another company. Using c-produts defense mags, I never had an issue through a few thousand rounds. I ended up replacing the barrel only because it was very heavy and Faxon offers a mid length gas 7.62x39 barrel (which is better and recommended). Purchased two other barrels only from bca and they always work fine. I also have DD, Faxon, and BA barrels, and yes they are slightly more accurate with a wider range of ammo. So, yes there are better options, and I wouldn’t buy one now that I have experience with other companies, but they do work fine in my experience. If you’re an accuracy snob you’ll want a better brand, but to throw some lead and have fun, bca all day. And if you needed it, I’m sure it would perform the same as it has on the range, well.
I very rarely see any bad reviews on BCA. The ones that are bad, are the knuckle heads that buy the 7.62x39 with a 7.5 inch barrel. Everybody knows that 7.62x39 is a very unreliable round for this platform. BCA gets away with selling at a lower price, cause they build every component on the AR platform. They do not import any of the parts. Even PSA cant say they do this. Most of BCA AR's now have a hammer forged barrel, cause BCA recently bought the machining for Hammer forging barrels. In the past, I have owned at least 8 or 9 of there AR's, and never had any issues, for the exception of the 7.62x39.
I love my 16" bca upper on psa lower , haven't had a single issue except the cam pin broke but I was at the range the day prior with 0 issues. I didn't clean the upper when I got it I just sent it, gave it its first clean at 1k rounds which is when I discovered the cam pin
@HatsuneM1ku01 if you knew how to read and comprehend more than a couple words you'd have saw that I didn't find it until I took it apart to clean it. The gun was still firing and unless it broke miraculously on the last round then it was still running fine. BcA oWnErS dUrRrRr $2 part and less than 2 minutes to install and you're like "yes I knew my $2k rifle was better!" Lmfao I reckon someone of your IQ needs it said better since there's 0% comprehensive skills on your end. 1k rounds 0 malfunctions on $189 upper
I have had some screws loosen on my 7.5" 5.56, and that was an easy fix, but I had to send back my 450 bm upper because of feeding issues. They polished the feed ramp and now it works fine. It's inconvenient for that kind of thing to happen, but it's not a deal breaker with me since their products are extremely affordable.
There are too many snobs out there. You get what you pay for. What you usually pay so much for is a name and the final polishing type shit. BCA saves you a lot of money by not doing these things. Grow a set and learn how the platform you're buying works and how to do the very easy to do things to finish them up. I've bought two, 450bm and 350 legend pistol. Both needed cleaned, polished, and broken in. Magazines don't like 350 and need fine-tuned, but nobody is bashing every magazine company out there for it? You want a gun that runs flawless out of the box? You're going to spend many times more for it, and it's not guaranteed. My first AR was a S&W M&P 15 and it hadn't even been drilled for the gas block hole from factory, a $1000 single shot AR. I didn't bash S&W, I had a smith drill the hole and moved on. Never bought an expensive AR again.
I have a BCA upper in 5.56 as well and it has been reliable. A lot of the videos I've seen bad mouthing them is about 7.62x39 and even the really expensive brands have all sorts of reliability as well in the AR-15 platform as the mag part of the lower is not shaped right for the ammo so it causes lots of problems.
Side charger is better than the T charger. Always will be. The only way to make it better is to have both sides cut( saving weight) and be able to put the charger dingus on the opposite covering the need for Ambidextrous controls. Which oddly enough the T can’t do unless you upgrade it.
ok.. I have a 223 Wylde BCA 7.5 upper W/ side charging handle. I installed a Wolff extra power buffer spring as well as a H3 buffer and have ZERO issues with it. I'm a fan of Militec lube. Because it's a short barrel I believe it's over gassed. Had to slow that Bolt carrier coming back down. That 40 round Mag loaded with 5.56 shoots well for me
I own several BC uppers in different length and calibers and I must say that after replacing some key components, they are now working fine. The upper you bought initially with the round tube discouraged me from buying it for my son since it's just really uncomfortable to shoot it with the round tube. I saw that later you had replaced it with an SB4 brace and tube. This is a $130 additional expense where total cost is $480+tax and FFL transfer cost between $25 and $50 depending on your dealer charges in your area. To be realistic, we are talking over $500 the final price to pay for it.
Bought a BCA 16" 300blk a few years ago. Knew it was cheap, but I liked the novelty of side charging. When it arrived, the charging handle had poked through the box and was ground down pretty good. BCA sent me out a new one after i contacted them. Only have about 40 rounds, total, of 110gr., 125gr., and 220gr. through it. Would get some type of blowback that causes my face to bleed (nose area with the subs and forehead with the supers). Took it off and put it in the back of the safe. Seemed to be moderately accurate in those 40 rounds, though.
Wow. I have a 16" blackout also. I have no idea what would cause that, but, subs need back pressure, and often won't cycle without a suppressor. IMHO you have an overdrilled gas port. Try an adjustable gas block. You may be able to dial that down a bit.
I have a 16 inch side charger from BCA chambered in x39. It’s primarily used for hunting and is a tac driver with the heavy profile barrel. I’ve had no issues whatsoever out of that gun. I also have a 16 inch 450 Bushmaster from them and again, it runs great with no issues. Only have about 100 rounds through the 450 as of right now though. Stuff is expensive 😂
If you zero issues look in the mirror first… what ammo are you using ? What optics if any? Are you shooting from a bench rest? Are your scope mounts tight? Quit blaming the gun. Everyone of my many rifles shoot less than inch groups at 100 yards. I have a 280 rem with a Hart bbl that shots 1/4” MOA at 1/4 mile. I found or reloaded the correct ammo to get there. Don’t blame the gun for poor marksmanship
Sorry thought you were saying you had Zero issues, like you couldn’t get it sighted in. If you read my reply it kind of indicated that even though it was in error.
@@patgilbert1722 it’s ok man, no need to apologize… I had to reply sarcastically because it was too easy haha! But I meant that I have never had an issue with my bca gear.. Especially zeroing them, I have one 16” upper that shoots sub moa at 100 yd with a low end sig red dot
I have three builds with BCA complete uppers. NONE of them "suck". They all function perfectly and give very good accuracy. Sometimes people who were fooled into spending much more money have to tell you the lower cost stuff "sucks". Makes them feel better. Check out the RUclips channel "Buffalo's Outdoors". He has several videos on BCA uppers and complete rifles. They were all great.
@beenshootin they are not viable firearms. You had a one gun sample size. I worked for a ffl and by far it was the number one firearms for warranty claims. Me and another employee spent countless hours repairing them. It got so bad we flat out refused to stock them. Not only are they junk they can be unsafe due to out of battery detonation. A cheap alternative also hailing from NC is Delton.
@sigma5253 your right what was I thinking. I was only a Gunnersmate in the US Navy, an armorer for US Naval Customs, work armed security for 2 nuclear sights, contracted security in the middle east, worked a contract for the NSA, and worked at a gun shop. But what the hell do I know?
Over 600 rds in my bca 5.56 pistol build and had gas key screws come lose. Cleaned it up a little blue lock tight and it's up and running perfect over 1,700rds and no problems. I built this pistol using a bear creek lower and a 7.5" complete upper in 5.56 going to build another one in 5.56 for my target rifle.
I love my BCA 7.62x39, run duramags and it shoots without hiccup. I've added a nice trigger, H2 buffer and adjustable gas block and now its recoil is crazy light. BCA upper, and a hodgepodge of other manufactures to build a very nice gun. I've got maybe $900 altogether? They have a great warranty too!
Having worked many years in auto and then in Semi tractor- trailer repair, also a home repair Man. So, like many others watching this, it comes to my attention a few things A) quality control is lacking in almost all, if not all, manufacturing companies, in almost all industries. Note..Boeing B) if a billion dollar +/- jet corp has quality control issues, the necessities of tightening a few loose screws for an inexpensive firearm that could be a lot of fun as well as a truck gun should not be a problem. Watch enough video reviews and you will see something of everything that is junk. C) There are ar's that cost thousands ( as well as cars that definitely ain't worth the cost) that can be purchased D) You can also build your own and then you know that quality control is above reproach, but it probably would not be under $500 dollars. E) buy the inexpensive one, polish the loading ramp, blue loc-tite screws, and as at least one instructor stated " buy extra firing pins, screw, locking pins ect." He was talking guns in general, not for "cheapo" guns. He stated " threre is always a chance of something breaking at the worst possible time. For that very reason, if I go on that special hunt, I didn't Just take my favorite, rifle, I took my next favorite rifle, just in case. F) Buy the cheap one, fix the glitches, buy alot of ammo, and have a time of family fun. It will build eternal memories.
I have 4 Firearms Total From BCA and they all ran fine except the glizzly 101! That one gives me slide locking problems constantly because it keeps bending
I dont think Ive ever shot a BCA. But its fair to say it is in the budget tier. Cant really expect much but sometimes… sometimes it just works. Cool video. Subbed
My First BCA upper was a 350 Legend. On the very first round I had feeding issues . I was using Acs mags . I switched to Dura Mags I haven't had an issue since.
I have a BCA upper chambered in 223 Wylde, with a PSA lower. Only thing I did to it was trigger group upgrade but everything else is factory. Put hundreds of mostly PMC rounds thru it, not one FFF or FTE. Shoots awesome. Barrel holds zero well. Id definitely trust it with my life. Would I have backup? Yes...but would I need it...I doubt it. 😊
I have the 16 inch 300 blkout!! Shot about 400rds and started have fed issues!! Clean it good, took it back to range and same issues!! Tried different ammo still a fail. Sent it in to bca and got it back with no info from them!! Emailed them twice and was finally told they cleaned it!! Saw slight scratches near gas block!! I assume gas block came loose!! Now shoots great groups at 50 yds!! My last 300blkout upper I bought didn't come from bca!!
Having purchased 5 complete uppers in 6.5g, 2- 7.62x39, and 2-300blk. Both of the 7.62x39 had improperly torqued barrel nuts (don't ask how I found that out) and one of 300blk barrels had an improperly reamed chamber resulting in a DOOB that blew apart my bolt and rendered the upper receiver unusable. The QC at BCA is non-existent. So you pay your money and take your chances.
I don't own a BCA rifle. However, I took an AR15 armorer class at an NRA approved gunsmithing school in 2023. The lowers were all BCA. I dont know if the uppers were BCA or some other brand. They were super basic, M4 carbines with 1:7 twist sixteen inch barrels. Really lightweight. I stripped the BCA lower receiver and upper and put it back together ten or twelve times in two days. The BCA lower receiver seemed durable as hell to me. Same with the upper receiver. I never shot it, but that BCA M4 carbine seemed durable enough and I am rough on equipment.
I have several of them, and they've worked fine. It's a budget item, like low-level PSA stuff, of which I have several. I shape a small lock washer to keep that charging handle from falling off.
Own five of them ,all right side charging, and about to buy number six. Zero issue with anyone of them. Got the 10mm chopper and it's a f****** fun weapon to shoot.
I think the big issue with BCA is their customer service, where if you do have a problem, it's difficult to get help from them to resolve. While I have not personally used their customer service, a quick scan of their google reviews with give you the general idea. For me, customer service is a big factor in my decision on who to buy a firearm from. I know if I have any issues with my S&Ws or Rugers, they will make it right. Not so sure about BCA. For what it's worth, I have a BCA upper in 7.62 x 39 that has so far run great. In my opinion, you are better off dropping another $100 and getting something from PSA (Palmetto State Armory) if you can afford it. I have an AR 10 in 308 from them that is a blast to shoot. I am also using a PSA lower on the BCA upper I mentioned above.
I have 3 BCA uppers. 2 5.56 (rear charging) and 1 308 (side charging) ...I have shot a shit ton through all of them, and have yet to have an issue with any of them. The only thing I have a complaint about is that their upper is about a pound heavier than a PSA of same caliber and length...which can be bit fatiguing when humping it around all day on a hunt, or after a long day at the range, even more so for tiny 5.2 wife.
Got a 7.5 inch 556 upper and literally the first shot it jammed tried different mags and everything and still didn’t wanna work, re cleaned it and oiled it up and still jamming and double feeding. Definitely gonna try to return and get my money back
I have 6.5 Grendel and 762 and 556 and 410. All run good. The 762 came in rough shape as far as milling in bolt chamber. I worked it as opposed to sending it back. Had to put an enhanced pin to fire Russian ammo
i own 3 bcas the 8.6 blackout the 458 and the 556. all run flawless no issues ive put 500 rds thru the 8.6 so far zero issues. i have 1000s or rds through the others.
Good stuff, I've been usin their side charging uppers since the first gen. Second gen is a better upper in my opinion but for a low cost option they're great. I've had them in 5.56, 300 blackout, 450 bushmaster and 50 Beowulf. All have been pretty damn awesome and have all been reliable, and extremely accurate. I've put alot of meat in the freezer with them and actually built one as my go to hunting rifle, and another as a dedicated truck gun. Most would freak out over that but it's about weighing out price and reliability when talkin about stuff like a dedicated truck gun. Your not gonna keep a 2500 rifle in your vehicle at all times let's be honest.. and if you do well you're makin alot more then I am bud lol. God bless from ole Carolina.
Would have liked a few more details about the gun. Go over its features. Available aftermarket add-ons. I'm not sure the exact model number was even mentioned.
Run! Don't walk! to BCA! Built one for my wife with a PSA lower & a cheap Ozark Armament Optic. She shot 20 shots at 25 yards. All of which fit in an area the size of a 50 cents piece.
Most issues I’ve seen on the tube have been with 7.62 pistols, which inherently in the AR platform have some problems. So far I really like my 16” 7.62, and am waiting on my SS 16” 5.56! “Both on Anderson lowers”
Just picked up a Bear Creek AR 10 and right out of the box the bolt carrier is lodged and not allowing the charging handle to manipulate for loading. Bought it on 11/12/24 and filed for warranty on 11/13/2024. When I broke it down and removed the bolt carrier, it was covered in metal shaving. Cleaned it, put it back together and still could not manipulate charging. Absolute trash.
I like the small compact look of it. I also like it better with the retractable butt stock. If I was gonna get a rifle that didn't cost a lot of money, I would get that. It basically reminds me of an m-4 carbine
People need to understand that BCA main purpose was to be a supplier to the guy who wanted to put together his own rifle at home. We the DIY builder is the quality control ... Just being realistic., BCA puts out a good priduct when used as intended
The BCA complete upper I bought a few years back has run perfectly on every lower I have tried it with. That's not to say that people don't have issues with BCA stuff, I imagine it's a little like buying a cheaper 3D printer. As long as you realize that you may need to tinker a bit to make it fully functional you won't be disappointed. On the other hand, if you are an iPhone and Apple computer type who is OK having the same shit everyone else does because tinkering scares you, then BCA is probably not for you.
Use the upper and lower as a build base, even if you change the recoil stuff and change the barrel and gas block to something better you'll still be under what most named brands start at.
Have you cleaned the chamber and are you using steel case ammo? If the chamber is dirty and you run that cheap steel case ammo the chamber may be scratched .
@ yeah, it is. The Whole upper, BCG and CH is from BCA. The bullet casing doesn’t fit properly into the barrel. And kinda has to be forced in. That’s telling me that the upper wasn’t fulling inspected by quality control.
Have multiple BCA rifles in mutiple calipers and all have from 1 inch to 1 1/4 accuracy at 100 yards. None of them have ever had a malfunction if any kind from cheap ammo to match ammo. A couple shoot far more accurate and reliably than my sons expensive rifles.
BCA builds are great for the price you pay. I bought one to see if the online hate was true. My 556 runs great, no complaints here. Guess i got a good one.
Hard to fuck up an Ar one its a pistol gas system so feed issues will occur as well its a side charge so its going to have minor issues.. an adjustable gas block polymer mags and a jp buffer kit will solve your feed issues on a pistol as far as the lower if you dont build your own from the get go its going to be hit or miss.
Most people buy ARs an upgrade them regardless of them being DD or psa or BCA... all i can say is my BCA i upgraded the bolt to be safe ( i had. No issues) but threw a BCM bolt in jt an it runs flawless for less then 400$ i got a reliable rifle
Glad this one worked for you, but I had one come across my bench that wouldn't funtion at all out of the box. It had a gas block literaly hammered on over an oversized journel, and a bent gas tube that wouldn't interface with the gas key. Had to replace the gas block and tube to make it work. 100% don't recommend.
I have two BCA rifles. One of them had a feeding issue right off the bat, the other was flawless. I contacted BCA about the feeding issue, mailed the upper to them they adjusted the size of the gas port. Mailed it back within a week. Since then I have two flawless running BCA rifles. I love the side charging which is the reason I went with BCA. The ONLY gripe is that they are heavy…. Would buy more from them if my state wasn’t so blue…
My 18" .223 wylde ss heavy barrel upper runs as well as my DD mk12 so far. Both without failures of any kind. Both about 800 rounds of 77 gr so n far. DD is more accurate so far, but no issues as of 4/18/24.
Gun is overgassed. The cheap fix is a H2 or H3 buffer to slow down the BCA. Ejection to the front of the gun says over gassed and your functioning issues are related to that.
@@cbolton81 It was Perfect, Stripped Lower with Upgraded Trigger and Nick-Nacks, I have a Couple Ruger And Bushmaster Lowers I'm gonna Build off of, they are Well Made, take it from an Old Devil Dog.
@beenshootin Would NOT cycle even one round. Everything else was fine, determined I wasn't getting enough gas. Drilled out gas port (carefully) to .090, functions fine, still won't lock back reliable on last round, but I can live with that.
People is tripping i got my 762 upper ran like 600 rounds on a 30 round mag and works perfect only thing that broke was fire pin 60 rounds in but right away i switch the pin with a new enhance fire pin and she work perfectly fine also did a bit a port and polish on it and runs perfect
@@beenshootin Interesting. Certainly adds to the torture aspect. I have never shot a firearm without first cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating. Just makes sense to me, as virtually no manufacturers seem to lube their new firearms well or at all...
why a rifle cal. pistol jams can also be from not backing the gun same way you can cause a pistol to jam by limp wrist hold got a bca .45 acp runs great cant wait to get the hunter in 30-06
Be advised, I bought the side charging buffer less uppers, it broke, the extracted broke and took to flight! BCA won’t warrant it because we have an assault weapons ban. So much for the lifetime warranty. Very disappointed.
I have seven in different calibers and have shot thousands of rounds through each gun and not had on problem with any one of them . Yes I’d trust my life with any of the ones I own.
check gas block and improve staking or divot if needed...Buy a Wilson bolt carrier group on sale for $80 to keep around for when BCA fails... Those are really the only failure points
The feed issue was likely because the mag was not properly seated since it did fall out when you pulled back on your charging handle. I do not know about this specific model but I saw a video of another model where the hammer was polymer and teh buffer tube was permanently attached. Those are two red flags for me. Some may say "hey its cheap so it is what it is". If it is cheap enough for you to justify that for your purchase more power to you. Have fun and enjoy your rifle (or in this case I think it is suppose to be a pistol...I am not playing ATF word games it is a rifle). For me however I can not justify buying an AR that you can not replaces teh buffer tube or that comes with a polymer hammer. I think if it was just the hammer I might get one and just replace the hammer though.
Away from their customer service (GOD AWFUL) my 7.62x39 upper runs flawlessly. Only thing I’ve had to replace was my extractor claw on the BCG that came with it.
The problems i had with my 7.62x39 were eliminated when i eliminated steel ammo. Of course their firing pins are junk and with a quality firing pin it's not a bad gun. Not a great gun either just not quite as bad as most think.
I've got a BCA 16" , I've put about 1300 + or - rounds throuh, never had any issue. Fit and finish is well , Its no Daniel Defense by any means but for a fifth of the price I'm not 3itchin about it.
The feed issue, most times, on these budget firearms, can be solved by polishing the feed ramp.
I had that issue with an $1100 Olympic Arms unit. Polished them bishes up and hasn't failed me yet....
I totally agree. This was the first thing I did with several of my BC uppers in order to get them working properly.

Heck yea bro
I ordered a Blackout Defense “Gucci gun” and I’m not hating on affordable guns that get the job done 🤷🏻♂️
I think you’re lying. Guarantee your gun doesn’t run good. Guarantee my cheapest ar out performs any BCA. Which is a Springfield saint. $1200.

@@cbolton81it's definitely a YMMV situation with BCA. Their QC is all over the map.
Idc. Were inna freakin golden age of AR15s. No reason why any household shouldn’t have 2 or more ARs. Cheap or expensive
I completely agree!!!
I have more than 2 but I always keep AR.22 (CMMG Bravo kit) scattered all around the house, that's the best combo for home defense since it has little to no recoil and shotguns hidden on a few other places.
You are correct, sir!
My first ar was a BCA and it ran flawlessly until all the screws rattled loose lol I tightened them all back up and it's been fine ever since
You better take out the BCG and lock tight the gas port
@@RevelSun screws should be staked in the gas key on the bcg they are on mine it's a BCA the only thing I've heard people having problems coming loose is the screws holding the barrel shroud on and first thing I did when I got mine was torque the crap out of them
@mikehoncho3099 yeah we saw that as well, and staking was the fix. I really hope they fix their issues. That being said if their quality control hasn't changed by now it likely won't.
@@RevelSunbca does stake their bcg’s. Or at least on the couple I have they did.
Same after about 1k rounds I had to put some thread locker on the handguard bolts and never had an issue since.
Have 3 different caliber BCA uppers and they all run fantastic and accurate!!
Right on
No they don’t. You only think they do because you don’t know anything about guns or you don’t own any other AR. If ya did you would 100% say BCA is garbage
I love watching all of this crying from guys that got sucked into buying the expensive stuff and the guy who bought 3 for the same price and love them 😂😂😂
I worked at a ffl and can confirm they had by far the most warranty claims of any firmarm. Avoid at all cost @cbolton81
@@cbolton81 sounds like a skill issue
My cam pin broke too
“Haven’t had a single issue” proceeds to tell everyone of a major failure and typical failure point of these. Why are bca owners like this 💀
@HatsuneM1ku01 if you knew how to read and comprehend more than a couple words you'd have saw that I didn't find it until I took it apart to clean it. The gun was still firing and unless it broke miraculously on the last round then it was still running fine. My 308 with a 24" barrel is a tack driver. No issues and love it. Buying one for the wife
I bought a side charger a few years ago. I really prefer it for use with a large optic. 🤠
@@donwyoming1936 and its a natural forward assist if you ever needed it.
Ive got the hybrid. T and side charging. Haven’t taken it out yet. Can’t wait.
I found that locking my arm solid on the forgrip helps with barrel hop you seem to be experiencing.
Yikes
Wow. I have a 16" blackout also. I have no idea what would cause that, but, subs need back pressure, and often won't cycle without a suppressor. IMHO you have an overdrilled gas port. Try an adjustable gas block. You may be able to dial that down a bit.
Yours seems to work fine and both of mine work fine. The jam looked to be a double feed from the mag so not really a gun issue
@JhonnyCash-mo2wx the 5.56 never had issues
I had cycling issues with BCA and had to send it back, glad you got one that works
I love my 18 inch BCA with the side charging handle! First time shooting it put well over 500 hundred rounds through it, ran smooth as butter!
I think a palmetto lower cause u can use ak mags with bear Creek upper
I’ve had zero issues with anything I’ve gotten from bca…
If you zero issues look in the mirror first… what ammo are you using ? What optics if any? Are you shooting from a bench rest? Are your scope mounts tight? Quit blaming the gun. Everyone of my many rifles shoot less than inch groups at 100 yards. I have a 280 rem with a Hart bbl that shots 1/4” MOA at 1/4 mile. I found or reloaded the correct ammo to get there. Don’t blame the gun for poor marksmanship

@beenshootin they are not viable firearms. You had a one gun sample size. I worked for a ffl and by far it was the number one firearms for warranty claims. Having worked many years in auto and then in Semi tractor- trailer repair, also a home repair
Man. So, like many others watching this, it comes to my attention a few things
A) quality control is lacking in almost all, if not all, manufacturing companies, in almost all industries. Note..Boeing
B) if a billion dollar +/- jet corp has quality control issues, the necessities of tightening a few loose screws for an inexpensive firearm that could be a lot of fun as well as a truck gun should not be a problem. Watch enough video reviews and you will see something of everything that is junk.
C) There are ar's that cost thousands ( as well as cars that definitely ain't worth the cost) that can be purchased
D) You can also build your own and then you know that quality control is above reproach, but it probably would not be under $500 dollars.
Shooting at without a brace or stock is going to cause an occasional Jam in any rifle.
Swear only issue I have on my bca upper is after I shot about 120 rounds my 4 screws on the hand guard started to get loose
Those malfunctions could be caused by the gun not being shouldered, like when you limp wrist a pistol.
I see absolutely no problem with the fire arm! I would recommend it!
I've had multiple BCA uppers, only complaint is you have to tighten everything after you get it
I like the small compact look of it.
Just being realistic.,
BCA puts out a good priduct when used as intended
The BCA complete upper I bought a few years back has run perfectly on every lower I have tried it with. That's not to say that people don't have issues with BCA stuff, I imagine it's a little like buying a cheaper 3D printer. As long as you realize that you may need to tinker a bit to make it fully functional you won't be disappointed. On the other hand, if you are an iPhone and Apple computer type who is OK having the same shit everyone else does because tinkering scares you, then BCA is probably not for you.
Well said! 👍👊👍
Use the upper and lower as a build base, even if you change the recoil stuff and change the barrel and gas block to something better you'll still be under what most named brands start at.
I have a wide variety of firearms in my safe. Budget builds to high end rigs. They all work great with quality amo
Seems like the barrel is too short for the ammo being run. I can see the un-burned powder flying out as you shoot.
I have a BCA upper and it sucks. Every time It gets loaded into the chamber, the bullet casing gets stuck. Doesn’t eject.
Try different ammo?
Have you cleaned the chamber and are you using steel case ammo? If the chamber is dirty and you run that cheap steel case ammo the chamber may be scratched .
your extractor solid? Is your BCG a BCA one or some other Companies one?
@ yeah, it is. The Whole upper, BCG and CH is from BCA. The bullet casing doesn’t fit properly into the barrel. And kinda has to be forced in. That’s telling me that the upper wasn’t fulling inspected by quality control.
Have multiple BCA rifles in mutiple calipers and all have from 1 inch to 1 1/4 accuracy at 100 yards. None of them have ever had a malfunction if any kind from cheap ammo to match ammo. A couple shoot far more accurate and reliably than my sons expensive rifles.
1:04pm Did they check the chamber for warping once it cooled down some.
BCA builds are great for the price you pay. I bought one to see if the online hate was true. My 556 runs great, no complaints here. Guess i got a good one.
I don't have an upper or lower from BCA , but I do have 3 of their barrels and they are as accurate as my BCA , Rasco and Gun Fighter barrels.
For long term accurate use, you are going to want to replace the barrel, but BCA and PSA have solid guns at a price most can afford.

I kinda think and thought that. I don’t have any proof. Truth my attention is like trigger forward!😊
Gun is overgassed. The cheap fix is a H2 or H3 buffer to slow down the BCA. Ejection to the front of the gun says over gassed and your functioning issues are related to that.
I saw at least two malfunctions that is two malfunctions too many to be acceptable. Slow the down the cyclic rate and it will function better.

Thanks for getting in the discussion. That's awesome to hear bro.
check gas block and improve staking or divot if needed...Buy a Wilson bolt carrier group on sale for $80 to keep around for when BCA fails...
It fell out cause I was holding down the mag release…. To get the mag to drop out of the way to clear the jam…..
@@beenshootin LOL ok well that would do it too. I do hope you continue to love your new gun.
I was gunna get palmetto lower with a bca upper 7.62x 39
The fire ball is impressive. Nice.
What's the specs on the upper, barrel length handguard length
I've got a BCA 16" , I've put about 1300 + or - rounds throuh, never had any issue. Fit and finish is well , Its no Daniel Defense by any means but for a fifth of the price I'm not 3itchin about it.
But i will say, a couple more dollars goes a long wa with a Palmetto or even an M&P
