In this final part of this series, I will reassemble the cleaned up parts from the NEO TRN 1. There is probably some useful information whether you own a TRN or not. Happy painting!
Hi! Thanks for asking. Yes, you can. That's what we did in the Before Times! Before there was the Pro Maintenance Tool Kit. It has to be narrow enough and long enough to get down to the needle packing. With a regular screw driver, the trick is to put the packing back in without getting it too tight. Screw it in until you hit resistance. Then check it with the needle. You want it snug, not tight. So, check with needle. Snug it up. Doesn't take much movement to make a big difference. Check. Tighten. Check tighten. It's really easy to over tighten with a regular screw driver. The PTFE doesn't rebound well. Get it too tight and you wont' be able to get the needle in! At that point, loosening it up won't help much. Just proceed slowly and you'll get it just right!
These videos deserve more likes, it really helps
I’ve got trn 2
What if you don’t have the packing tool. Can you just use a regular screwdriver.
