I think the Apex Suite which is used on this Gulfair 789 deserves more attention. The privacy is great, the seat is then spacious and in line with Gulfair service create such fantastic experience!

Crew member at boarding was sloppy, and the date/coffee service was so rushed, perfunctory. Lousy catering for business. You're an excellent reviewer though, one of the best on here.
I flew with them in June. Most of the stuff was alright. But the food needs a some overhaul. The worst was the flight attendant did not doing anything when a group of biz class passengers were talking and laughing loudly when it was a midnight flight with me being unfortunate sitting next to one of them.
I agree, for the cost of a full fare business class ticket it’s not satisfactory. Great reviewer 👏

it is a new airport building, not a renovation, the old one was demolished
Just for the record, the terminal at BAH is brand new, was opened (finally) in January 2021. So, it's not a renovated old terminal. That place still exists and is supposedly being renovated to bring it up to new Terminal standards...

In 1980 I flew from London to Auckland via Hong Kong. In those days Cathay went via Bahrain where they stopped for fuel. Bahrain airport in those days appeared to be almost all gold shops - never seen so much gold in my life ....... until I got to Hong Kong. Culture shock!

Great Video I am afraid New York is not one of my travel destinations to many tall buildings and to over crowded.
So when did you do this journey was there still restrictions both in Bahrain and New York.
Your Flight reviews really stand out from the rest!! The cute fluffy Ducklings 🐥 in Central Park (at least l think they are Ducks) so cute. I've never actually timed how long l wash my hands for as a guess l don't think it's for 60 seconds 🤔. Thanks for sharing 👍
You had a good flight. It's much better than the BKK-BAH sector where you found blankets on the flight, personalized PA rather than pre-recording ones, and a brand new airport before departure. Gulf Air is always on my list though it's still takes some time to fine-tune its hard & soft products. The pre-departure services like the offer of hot & cold towels , Arabic coffee & dates, plus hard copies of menus are bonuses & are rare in nowadays flights.
Both meals looks really delicious, especially the first one. Having croissant as a late night snack really suits well when flying.

Thanks for the video! I honestly love pancakes and order them on almost every breakfast menu I encounter. When reheated they are a sad, unfulfilling substitute of their former self. Is Arabic coffee better than Starbucks? The color looks as light (and as watered down) as tea.
But is the mask 😷 mandatory during the flight and one more question : are the business lounges opened in Bahrain 🇧🇭 and Bangkok??

The catering on the Bangkok to Bahrain flight was so much better. The $10K Covid insurance thing is insane even if refundable. Need to check on that as I transit there in Dec this year. Your videos are enjoyable esp the views on take off and landing and everything in between
I believe the insurance is no longer mandatory but it’s still good to check before you go. Thanks for watching 😁

Luxurious flight journey. The breakfast quality need improve
I took this flight back in May. Honestly, I thought it was great. That said I found the bathrooms emitted odour whenever someone went #2, and this would end up stinking up row 1. I'd choose row 3 or 4 next time.
Food was good, but it was actually better on the FRA-BAH segment, where it was seriously spot on.

Hi Jayden. Those pancakes did look far too thick, that's probably why they were a bit dry. You mentioned maple syrup ? Were they maple syrup flavoured, or some syrup drizzled over the top ?...if the latter, it would have helped keep them moist.

I am happy you enjoyed their service maybe due to you being in falcon gold but my short flight on the same aircraft 2 weeks ago on their short flight from Singapore to Bangkok was ok only. The meal was a joke like some kids bun with drinks. The ENT system without headsets like why bother even having it on! And what I hate most is service without the smile and I get the impression that the FAs are saying to us pax... like you guys are making our lives tough... Like wtf is this kind of service. The bun was so bad I rather they just gave us drinks! And there was no consistency in service either... Despite roughly same timing the flight going up to Bangkok we had no pillows but we had coming back. Over all bad airline and I won't fly them ever again. Now if they were a lcc no issues with me but if they are saying come exp us... Hell no thank you!

How did you actually pay for this flight? Any hidden tips to lower that price tag? Coz 25000HKD for a return flight that short and of that quality is real daylight robbery! As a point of comparison, I once flew a return flight from HKG to Kuwait City via Muscat on CX and Oman Air Apex Suites for only 15000HKD on one itinerary (6 flights) and their service was much more superior. 😅 Now that Oman Air is going to be part of OneWorld, give them a try! 😇

NYC looks like a nightmare
It is in many ways. Dirty, hectic and a bit chaotic but this is off-set by an energy and vitality that is infectious and there are islands of sanity that I love. Wander in Central Park and take brunch at a local diner, get called "Honey" by the waitress and have a random chat with about cricket with Pakistani guy sat nearby. That's NYC

From the brief shots of the flight attendants (at least the two female ones), I was able to catch the cold demeanor as well. For me, that is unacceptable in Business Class.

Be cool about this and more things, you will enjoy your journey better. I have traveled to 58 countries so far and I am good and comfortable in humble places as well as 5 star resorts. I enjoy every minute of my life journey. There is no gap under a shower door that's going to spoil it. LOL

Then we will look back at the gap under a bathroom lounge and think to those days when we could fly, when there was business class available and food was plenty. We all have been spoiled. The best is behind us.
