A true marvel of Transformer engineering. Looks fantastic in both modes, bright bold colors, clean and compact transformation, lots of nice little details. This is a Masterpiece Figure in all but name.
DrakeClawfang also as I was looking at the figure while it’s in vehicle mode everything fits nicer and shows little to gap between transformation seams. (It looks like it’s all one piece)
Me seeing the grills before watching: Don't do that. Don't give me hope. After watching: True grill, removable matrix, battle damage, 0 kibble, weapons that don't replace the hands, fully-posable fingers, rubber tires. This is the Chick-Fil-A of Optimus toys, they really went that extra mile to make it look awesome in both modes, the grill is just the cherry on top.
So let me get this straight. This figure looks just as good as MP-44 in robot mode. And the Vehicle mode looks good. And the back isn't the size of a moon. AND The transformation isn't HELL!? Wizzardry.
It's actually surprisingly accurate to that "one moment, in that one episode," of him fighting Megatron on the dam. It looks small in that entire scene, so I'm actually cool with it. Besides, I don't really care for 100% cartoon accuracy, it makes figures flat and uninteresting. I prefer some detail, as opposed to just blocks for limbs. 😂
This figure is honestly breathtaking. The engineering is absolutely astounding and so clean. I am definitely going to pick this up. Absolutely blown away
Transform Element's version is the most accurate imo, but it has less articulation (enough to pose him decently so dont worry) and a more complicated transformation (don't worry its not another Ultra Maxmas).
Even though MP-44 has taken this by storm, this figure still remains the only Optimus MP that does not use a fake grille for the stomach. As such, this will be the figure I buy over any of the others.
Wow, this seems to be the best MP-style prime yet. It manages to be cartoon accurate without having to be an over-complicated panel-bot like sunstreaker - it doesn’t even need a faux grill!
He definitely looks cleaner than V3 and seems to be as well articulated. I think the only thing left is preferences on paint and proportions. I personally like a bot that has beefier and more exaggerated proportions like this. So, this guy is a winner for me all around. I also like the finish on him- the matte finish seems to match the cartoon more than something covered in shiny paint.
Dank Memer I mean Are g1 figures which came out 30 years ago better then RID 2015 toys and I'm not saying mp 10 is smoked out of the park but this just looks so good and besides MP 10 held the record in my books was the best Optimus prime figure hands down So id say yeah it is a fair comparison Because MP 10 let's be honest is still incredible but I will say though damn this figure is incredible and it might be bias towards the cartoon speaking but damn but I also under stand that MP 10 was trying to fit with what masterpiece was doing before they went full cartoon mode which in some cases I like other cases I don't like
I got this a few days ago, and Magic Square has my attention. It's a zero kibble upgrade from MP-10 with fantastic poseability. Not as cartoon accurate as MP-44, but the legs are 50 steps fewer than Takara's version. I just sold the Masterpiece Megatron, so I'm optimistic about a Magic Square Megatron in the near future.
Robert Delgado Capetillo it's actually Version 3.0 there was the first MP Optimus which was MP 01 which was made with almost everything being die cast but it was super tall and that's why MP 05 megatron was also that tall to scale with MP 01 so yeah

Masterpiece size without the Masterpiece price! I have always been amazed by how sophisticated the engineering is with the 3rd party Transformers. So glad that Hasbro or Takara didn't sue them for likeness. We have come a long way from ugly robots, to robots with back packs and now to cartoon accurate versions!
I'm was hesitating between this, TE-01 and MP-44. But the transformation on this one really looks a lot quicker. Other videos take like 20 mins on the transformation and that just doesn't look fun o.O
Anyone else think this is the absolute best transformation of any kind of Transformer ever? EVERYTHING folds up into it's own little compartment to allow for the robot mode to be virtually kibble FREE. I wish other companies, especially Hasbro, would take notes.
I think this is as best of a masterpiece we are going to get. Mp-01 + mp-10 (size) + mp44 (cartoon accuracy) + simplification = this.....incredible really brings me back too the original Mp-01 which my friend had WAAAAAYYYYYY back in the day (I was like 13 or something at the time) and was MIND Blown at how awesome that was. It got me into G1, even though I was growing up with beastwars, rid, armada, cybertron series etc....(even prime)....wow.....what a time to be alive :P !

Why everyone hates it again?

Man they really nailed it with how the leg transformation goes about. This is just so clean. Now I’m really tempted. I do have MP prime but I have to admit I don’t enjoy transforming him at all, along with how easy his trigger finger pops off with the slightest touch. This TF has no right to be even considered 3rd party just by how spot on it is.
Mmmm a very impressive Prime and I love how all the things hide away inside both the legs and the arms to make it more cartoon and clean looking I think this also looks better then MP10 over all and even with no trailer it still a great Prime.
Now this is what it should have been from the start this is the definitive transformation for G1 prime in my personal opinion, love the way the toy looks

The grill becomes the actual robot grill just wow. The legs are so clean I understand the complex transformation needed to achieve it and admire the engineering. Only thing that could have made this perfect is diecast feet and chest and fully articulated fingers. The plastic quality does look absolutely beautiful though. Damn it might have to get him.
Considering they've reissued this recently (with metal paint), I think this will do nicely for a masterpiece-style Optimus (besides, the more recent Light of Peace costs £50 British Pounds more).

This is awesome. I got an Optimus for Christmas and it was the MCS-01 and it just didn’t scale right with the rest of the Masterpiece figures I have. I just bid on one of these now. I was gonna wait and ask around to see what would scale best with Ironhide and ratchet but I think I’m making a good choice with this one. Just looks so damn amazing. So cartoon accurate. Now I have a group of Autobots that I can display with Devastator and make it look like a fight the Autobots could win. 🤖

This is the best MP Prime out now. MP-44 can't hold a candle to this sculpts animation accuracy and tidy back management.
