Hello. For Help Desk positions you don't travel. Traveling to different locations depends on the position and it will say that on the job application. However, there are many IT jobs that people now days just work from home; like, sys admin, cyber security, network support and etc... I work on-site at a hospital but sometimes travel to other locations to help out.
