When you hear this mans voice, your brain switches to learning mode.
My Dad goes to sleep
Really - and it's not an insult to either man - Dad has always loved Attenborough docos, has watched every one he could since as long as I can remember - but ten min in and I guarantee you he is quietly snoring away...
It's a long-running family joke. The fact Sir David's voice has this effect on him really bothers him - many is the time I've heard him say "but I find it so fascinating!", with great frustration...
lol
Switches to relax and positive mood
True lmao hahah 😂
Which is why he's used in so many climate change indoctrination videos, so people believe the information without questioning it. Look up all the organisations berating him for lying about polar bears, for example. Their numbers are dramatically increasing yet he was telling everyone their numbers were falling because of climate change.
@@dontbefatuousjeffrey2494 I get it, if I’m having a lot of trouble sleeping I’ll put on a David Attenborough wildlife documentary. If I’m not watching, puts me right to sleep, if I am watching I have his undivided attention.

Sir Attenborough is BEGGING everyone to switch to a plant based diet as animal agriculture is the #1 cause for deforestation, species extinction, and climate change. 90% of all deforested land is used for animal agriculture. That is 1/3 of ALL land on Earth now used for meat, dairy, and eggs. 80% of all farmland is used to grow crops to feed to livestock which takes food away from humans, causing 87% of all human starvation. The amount of food grown in ONE YEAR, if instead fed to humans, would end world hunger 14 times over.
51% of all greenhouse gas emmissions comes from animal agriculture. This is more than all planes, cars, boats, and other motor vehicles on the planet combined.
Indigenous people are losing their land and lives for cattle farming, as well as wildlife.
Sir Attenborough is BEGGING people to change so he dies knowing that the wildlife he cares for will be alive in the next 100 years. For as it stands now, so long as humans keep eating meat, dairy, and eggs scientists predict by 2030 climate change will be irreversible, the oceans will be void of life by 2048, and by 2050 most if not all life on the planet will be gone.

Well, it's either get out the glasses, or have someone hold the script 100 meters away 😄
(Presuming he is far-sighted, of course)
Attenborough - a national treasure.
People are throwing around the terms “National treasure”, “world treasure”, and “protected at all costs”, and, you know, they are right.
I am in my mid-fifties, and for as long as I can remember, Sir David has been the voice of any documentary that mattered. To use the colloquialism, he is the GOAT.
As others have already written, when I hear his voice, my brain switches to “learning, and absorption” mode, as I know whatever comes next will be worth remembering.
Cheers,
I love him. Simply love him. Such a wonderful human being.
Love me some Sir David Attenborough ❤️
You know how sometimes its difficult to sleep, well imagine David Attenborough reading a bedtime story, that would be comforting.
