I'm not even an interviewer and still know that you're supposed to start very light to set the tone and form a bond with the guy you're talking to, what the hell kinda question was that lmao, Punk was noticeably more guarded after that.
I’d give the interview a 2.5 as so many ballpark questions that didn’t need to be asked. Most of us know most of these questions and I give Punk his patience to try and give his around answers to them but holy $#it I wouldn’t have played it out that way. If “Jimmy” want his Dave Melzer moment, he should have done that research before asking!!!

Lots of reason WWE is on fire right now, but one that doesnt get discussed is its ability to unite people. We in America are so divided right now and part of that is entertainment. Entertainment, sports, holidays, these are culture things that united us despite our differences. Everything entertainment has in some way entered the political divide and picked a side. UFC shows are Trump rallies. The Avengers re-united for Joe Biden. WWE has on the most part in recent years avoided this pitfall. Its the one place wear a Maga hat wearing Trumper and a Green New Deal Bernie Broh can throw on their Bloodline shirts and stick their fingers in the air together to acknowledge THE Tribal Chief and Head of The Table Solo. I really hope WWE maintains this path and doesnt get engaged in the culture war and political divide.

Like listening to Phil Brooks (the normal Chicago guy) speak but would think a follow up question is missed about AEW not being in the same business. They sell tickets (not on the hard cam side admittedly), such as Wembley so what is that they aren't doing business in? Genuinely intrigued as hear it on socials.
