Lol I'm on a bit of a meal in a jar buzz going through your videos at the moment. I can totally imagine adding some dried shrimp or something to make a seafood flavoured risotto. Yum! Another great recipe for busy people and young ones out flatting. You've got a lot of great ideas Stacey
We don't have Rice Rissoto here in Perth...or I just haven't found any. 😏 Either way I can stop looking now. I can't believe I have had all these ingredients in my pantry all along and never thought to put them together. 😳 You are a real gem. ❤
Take a break Stacey, you have explained the meal plan very well, perhaps now I will start to plan ahead instead of just wondering 'what shall we have tonight' thank you xx
Thanks for this idea Stacey. This is a great dish to add things to - mince, chicken, bacon, extra veggies etc. I’m a fan of the Chinese flavoured rice risotto, so I guess adding some Asian sauces would work with this recipe.
I absolutely love watching your videos. I feel like I'm watching my best friend in her kitchen. You are such a gorgeous person and I love everything you put up. BTW I really love you hair!! All those lovely different tones of grey are just gorgeous. I've just let my hair go grey and have similar, but yours are so beautiful ❤
Thank you for the recipe being hihly allergic to garlic it's so hard to find any rice dishes/pasta dishes which come in packets without it being added. Now I can make my own knowing I can safely eat it and knowing it has no unwanted additives game changer! Thank you!
I'm here in the state of Georgia. I do rice and break up angel hair pasta. Will give the risotto a try, and adding some fresh spinach towards end of cooking. You can cook your rice, dehydrate it and you have instant rice. Equal ratio of 1 to 1, cover for 5 minutes.
Hi Stace that looks scrumptious by any chance would you have a homemade recipe for cook & coat for chicken that would be a blessing if l could make my own without having to buy it every time thank you for sharing
French toast is another one you could are with some of those eggs and bread. It's a good cheap breakfast. My children loved it before school most days.
You've really saved me a lot with these meal in a jar things... I'm luck enough to have solar and a tesla battery, so I save even more because the cooking and dehydrating is essentially free. We're only two people, so lucky there too. Ican't have many of the ingredients in the commercial versions anyway, so this is a big game changer during illness and busy times. I can dry my own organic produce, so lucky again. Thanks for all your help, I know it's a lot of work to make these videos.
Hi Stacey, loving your videos & have been making a few of your wonderful recipes, thank you so much! QUICK QUESTION though, I just made your Rice Risotto today & it was gorgeous apart from the saltiness of the dish. I added NO extra salt at all which means it came solely from stock powder, so was wondering if the recipe is meant to say 2 Teaspoons of stock powder instead of 2 Tablespoons??? Either way I will definitely be making it again, just wanted to check in case it's a printing error. xx
Do you cook your vegetables before you dehydrate them? I haven’t been, and my rice risotto has taken a long time to cook! What am I not doing correctly?
@@FarmersWifeHomestead That will be it. I think I need more water to begin with, and also turn the heat down a bit more to make sure too much doesn’t boil off in the beginning. It was nice when it was finally eaten though 😀
Hi lovely lady, What a tonic you are. I think I have just bought my last packet of rissotto - what a saving. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, I haven't brought any since either :-)

Do you demonstrate how to vacuum seal your risotto, thankyou. Im enjoying your lessons.
This is something I'm wanting to see also.

Me encantó el video
Great idea making a paper packet for the seasonings! I didn't think of that - it definitely saves on all the plastic bags :) And this looks delicious!
Yes, I made up the first one and then thought of the paper packet. It works well.

Definitivamente delicioso 😋
That looks quick and tasty (have to check out your mushroom salt vid)
I've got a pile of lolly bags, that would be good for those dried veggie pouches
That would work well with the lolly bags. Such a quick, easy recipe.
Qué rico
Great to know this as I have to buy the gluten free one which is more expensive, realising I can just make it myself without the orzo😮😊
I'm glad it will help you save money!

Instead of jars can you use a food saver and vaccume pack it?
You could absolutely do that.

Do you cook your vegetables before you dehydrate them? I haven’t been, and my rice risotto has taken a long time to cook! What am I not doing correctly?
No the vegetables are not cooked before dehydrating. It should only take about 15 minutes to cook. Is there enough water?
If the dehydrated veges are still a little hard you could hydrate them a little beforehand in some warm water?
