My son married into an old NC Appalachia family and I had a dear friend from TN who when he knocked a few back he spoke to his dog in another language. I live in the PNW so I love visiting them. Hello Donnie, this is Mickey Lee Bluebird. I haven't been here for a while but you know I've always loved your channel. I've been thinking about going to my neck of the woods & beyond to film the foothills of the Appalachias. Think I've got me a new name. I love how you do your weekly video "How the Ridge Turns". Well, I live on Whippoorwill Holler. I might call it "As the Holler Turns". Ha., I thought you'd like that. What's ironic is I do live on a road that has Ridge in the name but the acreage where I live has always been "Whippoorwill Holler". Yes, we do have Whippoorwills. I've been thinking that this Ridge & Holler has always been a breeding ground for a long, long time. Anyhow, just wanted to say hello. I'm going to put together a schedule & try to get out a couple times a month to film. I think I'll start with my folks in West Virginia. You've inspired me my like-minded friend.
Not a flashlight for sure. I grew up in these mountains and over past 70 years don't think they are anything that will hurt you but have seen and heard things that might cause you to hurt yourself. Strange world we are living in for sure. Thanks for another great video.

Those larger orbs are spiders. I have a camera outside my home and I've captured those. On the last orb viewing, you can see the webs at times. The spiders on my camera would set off the motion detectors. If they were too close to the lens they would appear very blurry, like your orbs. As they would move away, they would come into focus more. Thank you for sharing all your videos. They are very interesting.
After doing family genealogy research in multiple cemeteries I had the luck of getting photographs with orbs in them. In my opinion those are definitely orbs. Great work Donnie
Yeah, orbs I reckon. About when cell phones got some reasonable cameras, maybe 10 years ago, a friend and I got some pics of what we reckon were orbs in a disused rail tunnel in Australia. “Experts” told us they were just dust particles but it sure felt spooky!
Back in the late 70s when I was a teenager, mom had taken a picture of me. When she got the developed film back, the picture of me was my upper arms and shoulders with my head. The picture looked like I was coming out of the ground or being sucked into the ground. Either way she was freaked out. Any ideas?

Yes that ball of fluff was moving like a small animal would move, but it wasn't any kind of animal we know. Just a ball of fluff or dust that moves. Very strange.

That's a lot of cool stuff in the video! I get a completely different feeling watching the orbs than I do when I watch that creeping thing. What's interesting to me is that both "lights" seem to be moving with intent, like they have some kind of awareness. Maybe there are energy forms that can pass through. Very mysterious world🙏🐝🌻✨

I just found your channel and immediately subscribed. I too love old cemeteries and the stories they tell. I've been investigating cemeteries for evidence of the paranormal for almost 20 year's now. Based on the experiences I've had I believe without a doudt that spirit's do exist and if you want to have your own personal experience that's the place to do it. I know there are many people that would disagree with me and they'd argue until they're blue in the face saying ghost's aren't real. I felt the same way until I had my first experience with one. Your videos is a great reminder why I guit going into the woods after dark. When I was able to hunt many years ago I didn't like the sound of leafs and twigs cracking 20 feet behind me as I walked. All your videos are great but my favorite are always the paranormal ones.

Great video I saw with my own eyes in the white mountain NH area, woods, a red ball thing size of a golf ball moving in straight line then disappeared in front of my eyes at 4 am. Your orbs reminded me of that. The white mountains have some weird feelings and occurrences as well
We used to run through the woods at night when we were teenagers, trying to scare ourselves lol. Only once did we turn and run when we heard something heavily, heavily thumping through the woods towards us. We could hear branches snapping as it ran. Idk why, but all i could picture in my head was an elephant, the footsteps were so heavy. We all shut up, turned and ran, terrified, back to my house. To this day we don't know what that was. I will never forget that!
@2:26 after zooming in, you can see there's a square section coming from the tree across the screen to the tree on the right of screen, that looks like it's an open portal.... But besides the dark entitie at the trees to the left, there's an alien shaped figure to the right of screen next to the tree, the heads shape, hands and feet are visible along with it's facial features, but you have to zoom in to see if.... Might be seen clearer if negative, or invert was used? But i can see it's eyes nose and mouth. Great catch! The orbs are explained as invisible entities, it's a surreal world explains them with video proof.

There is an animal or something on the left corner that must've triggered the camera. I noticed it immediately but haven't seen on here that anyone else caught it. It's around the 7:11 point in the video. It turns and looks right at the camera!
I see you caught more orbs at the pond Donnie! How cool is that! I still believe those all move like humans do. (and I still say that that shaking orb looks like a fight!) If memory serves me, there's been both Native and white settlements near this pond, so it is possible that you've caught different folks at different times in their lives. They don't move like any insect or dust that I've ever seen. What surprised me was the big orb on a different camera! A group of folks? A large animal spirit? It's hard to see in the dark but if the land is relatively flat there that coukd be an old trail or road. Does make you wonder. Our parents and grandparents used to tell us ghost stories to keep us in our beds at night. Now we know why!

The Bible was written by men, men with political motives. I've read most of the versions available so I can get as close to His truth as possible. One thing I do know: they don't call them The Holy Ghosts for nothing! As I had my life saved by a ghost when I was eight, I believe that God sent her. She saved me from dying the way she did and I am eternally grateful. It taught me two lessons: one, you're a child, do not be too stupid! If they tell you it isn't safe, it's not! Enjoyed your video...i grew up in Rural WV on a 178 acre farm...no running water and an outhouse...i am 57 now and I can Definitely tell people that there are things out there that can't be explained. I seen a creature in the woods walking upright (not a bear)...weird lights at night at times...and strange noises....take care and stay safe.

Hi Donny,! I live near the Smokies. I believe that ball of light you cought is orbs, they move differently than insects. Ive seen an orb in my home after my Mom passed and within that orb was her face, smiling....ill never forget it as it gave me comfort that she was near.❤🙏

I occasionally get "orbs" on my trail cams like the one you showed. Im in the flightpath between Apache helicopter training grounds. I've been told that these "orbs' are the Weapons operators picking up the IR radiation of the trailcams and subsequently being pinged with a targeting laser by the WO in the choppers. They just use the trailcams as a ready-made targeting practice.
@@RichardHandal301 they're quite rare. Seems like it's got to hit it at just the right angle. Every one in a while it's like you 'll catch a flash of a greenish laser on your windshield too. But when you look right at it you can't see it.
I agree. It was moving slowly, sauntering along. Also, when slowed down, there's something just above it, slightly lighter, moving extremely fast. Great vids and pics,btw🙂.
It’s really amazing the things trail cams can capture. I’ve seen 7 orbs in the woods and naturally no camera with me. But, we did capture one on our ring doorbell one night, it stayed on the porch area for over 2 minutes

Some areas have a lot of orb activity. We used to get a lot of weird things on trail cameras. After awhile, I decided to quit using them. It seemed like something didn't want them there. I got a new one burnt out internally. It was still under warranty but had worked great in the field but not when i switched it over to the spooky woods area.. I kinda decided maybe I just don't wanna know what's causing it. 😅
It's tiny spiders and bits of small debris drifting on cobweb strands that are blowing in a slight draft. We get it all the time on our home security cameras. Nothing supernatural.
Good morning Donnie Laws! I agree with another commenter who said “the unexplained is like the icing on a cake!” It looks to me like you’ve caught some will-o-the-wisp. That’s so awesome. The first orb appeared to be going behind the weeds, on my screen I could see a brighter vertical line in the orb when behind the stick. Something kind of sensational about the wispy bird, and the really slow orb. Lots of energy in the air.
It appears the be in front of it to me. Mainly because the image of the weed affected by the orb is blurry where the rest of the weed is not. Just saying.

That's the only time you can go Coon Hunting is after Dark.. I've been in some of the most darkest woods before that if my Hunting Light had went out for some reason I would have just had to set down until daylight

Most of these orbs if not all of them are paranormal. There are way too many people telling and showing these lights. If we knew what was around us most would be amazed and or terrified. Thanks for sharing these very interesting captures
Wow Donnie this is so interesting! You are exploring places new to all the other para channels and it's amazing, One time a bunch of orbs surrounded my head at work. One large one went over my eye. It was all shiny in there like a soap bubble but I got scared and shoved it off. Thanks for keeping it real.
I once followed a light in the forest but after a while I stopped, it was dark when I entered the forest that time. Something told me not to go any further. Glad I paid attention, that was many many years ago.
Love the video Donnie. At 7:45 in the video, I'm quite sure that is a dragonfly. They love wetlands and while most don't fly at night, it would if it's resting area was disturbed by a passing critter. Dragonflies are also attracted to any kind of light source.
Hi Mr. Donnie, on a few of your previous videos, I've seen you checking on your cameras. I KNOW what you mean by some of them being in VERY out of reach places! Your strange orb videos are fascinating, but those bear sightings are truly hair raising! The atmosphere of your videos really reminds me of all the primitive camping trips we were packed up & taken out on, as kids... (no bear sightings though...!). At the 5:15 mark, that is a spider web that is very close to the camera lens. I see them on my ring cam a lot. A spider web isn’t always just a straight string - so where the spider web is thicker the camera sees that thicker area as it blows in the breeze. Sometimes they look like they’re 30+ feet away, moving closer and farther, when really they are more like 8” from the lens - so close that it can’t really focus on it.
I can't say what the "Orbs" are 100%, but I read that it is rare that not only do some people film them(it) and take photos or whatnot, but you were lucky to get a few on video. I enjoyed your folksy manner about it.
Those smaller orbs are Faeries ☺️ The bigger orbs I'm not so sure... There's so much I'm the world we don't know about.... I've seen orbs also... Big and small...been awhile.... Thank you for sharing ❤️
I have live in the Appalachian mountains for nearly 40 years.. woke up and seen something standing in the corner... I was not scared at all .. never been scared of the dark . The dead won't hurt you its the living you have to watch out for..
Having been born and raised in a hollar in WV, and in the process of raising my kids here. Don't ever believe it if you hear someone say, "mountain lions & panthers aren't in, WV". I've heard them before daybreak while hunting, and a lot of ppl have them on trailcam.
I love to listen to you, your voice is so soothing. I was watching Tipper and she mentioned you saying you told stories of the old ways. I find it fascinating as our history is somewhat different in the UK. I love to hear about the old pioneer days and how people lived. May you long continue.

My trail cam mostly takes pictures of orbs ! One picture will be an animal and 175 pictures will be orbs!

I goggled orb spiders on trail cameras and the images were very different from these here, can you provide link? Thank you.
Yes, we get the same thing. Also, bits of small debris drifting on a strand of cobweb anchored to the camera does it.
Right. They're real and in every photo/video we made at our 1880's home.

I just found your channel and immediately subscribed. I too love old cemeteries and the stories they tell. I've been investigating cemeteries for evidence of the paranormal for almost 20 year's now. Based on the experiences I've had I believe without a doudt that spirit's do exist and if you want to have your own personal experience that's the place to do it. I know there are many people that would disagree with me and they'd argue until they're blue in the face saying ghost's aren't real. I felt the same way until I had my first experience with one. Your videos is a great reminder why I guit going into the woods after dark. When I was able to hunt many years ago I didn't like the sound of leafs and twigs cracking 20 feet behind me as I walked. All your videos are great but my favorite are always the paranormal ones.

Great video I saw with my own eyes in the white mountain NH area, woods, a red ball thing size of a golf ball moving in straight line then disappeared in front of my eyes at 4 am. Your orbs reminded me of that. The white mountains have some weird feelings and occurrences as well

We used to run through the woods at night when we were teenagers, trying to scare ourselves lol. Only once did we turn and run when we heard something heavily, heavily thumping through the woods towards us. We could hear branches snapping as it ran. Idk why, but all i could picture in my head was an elephant, the footsteps were so heavy. We all shut up, turned and ran, terrified, back to my house. To this day we don't know what that was. I will never forget that!
@2:26 after zooming in, you can see there's a square section coming from the tree across the screen to the tree on the right of screen, that looks like it's an open portal.... But besides the dark entitie at the trees to the left, there's an alien shaped figure to the right of screen next to the tree, the heads shape, hands and feet are visible along with it's facial features, but you have to zoom in to see if.... Might be seen clearer if negative, or invert was used? But i can see it's eyes nose and mouth. Great catch!
The orbs are explained as invisible entities, it's a surreal world explains them with video proof.

There is an animal or something on the left corner that must've triggered the camera. I noticed it immediately but haven't seen on here that anyone else caught it. It's around the 7:11 point in the video. It turns and looks right at the camera!

I see you caught more orbs at the pond Donnie! How cool is that! I still believe those all move like humans do. (and I still say that that shaking orb looks like a fight!) If memory serves me, there's been both Native and white settlements near this pond, so it is possible that you've caught different folks at different times in their lives. They don't move like any insect or dust that I've ever seen. What surprised me was the big orb on a different camera! A group of folks? A large animal spirit? It's hard to see in the dark but if the land is relatively flat there that coukd be an old trail or road. Does make you wonder. Our parents and grandparents used to tell us ghost stories to keep us in our beds at night. Now we know why!

The Bible was written by men, men with political motives. I've read most of the versions available so I can get as close to His truth as possible. One thing I do know: they don't call them The Holy Ghosts for nothing! As I had my life saved by a ghost when I was eight, I believe that God sent her. She saved me from dying the way she did and I am eternally grateful. It taught me two lessons: one, you're a child, do not be too stupid! If they tell you it isn't safe, it's not! Enjoyed your video...i grew up in Rural WV on a 178 acre farm...no running water and an outhouse...i am 57 now and I can Definitely tell people that there are things out there that can't be explained. I occasionally get "orbs" on my trail cams like the one you showed. Im in the flightpath between Apache helicopter training grounds.
I've been told that these "orbs' are the Weapons operators picking up the IR radiation of the trailcams and subsequently being pinged with a targeting laser by the WO in the choppers. They just use the trailcams as a ready-made targeting practice.

@@RichardHandal301 they're quite rare. Seems like it's got to hit it at just the right angle. Every one in a while it's like you 'll catch a flash of a greenish laser on your windshield too. But when you look right at it you can't see it.
That last slow moving orb gave me the creeps. It seemed to “creep” across there checking out the camera.

It’s really amazing the things trail cams can capture. I’ve seen 7 orbs in the woods and naturally no camera with me. But, we did capture one on our ring doorbell one night, it stayed on the porch area for over 2 minutes

Some areas have a lot of orb activity. We used to get a lot of weird things on trail cameras. After awhile, I decided to quit using them. It seemed like something didn't want them there. I got a new one burnt out internally. It was still under warranty but had worked great in the field but not when i switched it over to the spooky woods area.. I kinda decided maybe I just don't wanna know what's causing it. 😅
It's tiny spiders and bits of small debris drifting on cobweb strands that are blowing in a slight draft. We get it all the time on our home security cameras. Nothing supernatural.
Orbs are cleary very different from these web/bug things, glad people downplay them because a weak mind can get paranoid very quickly .

It looks to me like you’ve caught some will-o-the-wisp. That’s so awesome. The first orb appeared to be going behind the weeds, on my screen I could see a brighter vertical line in the orb when behind the stick.
Something kind of sensational about the wispy bird, and the really slow orb. Lots of energy in the air.

That's the only time you can go Coon Hunting is after Dark.. I've been in some of the most darkest woods before that if my Hunting Light had went out for some reason I would have just had to set down until daylight

Love the video Donnie. At 7:45 in the video, I'm quite sure that is a dragonfly. They love wetlands and while most don't fly at night, it would if it's resting area was disturbed by a passing critter. Dragonflies are also attracted to any kind of light source.

At the 5:15 mark, that is a spider web that is very close to the camera lens. I see them on my ring cam a lot. A spider web isn’t always just a straight string - so where the spider web is thicker the camera sees that thicker area as it blows in the breeze. Sometimes they look like they’re 30+ feet away, moving closer and farther, when really they are more like 8” from the lens - so close that it can’t really focus on it.

Having been born and raised in a hollar in WV, and in the process of raising my kids here. Don't ever believe it if you hear someone say, "mountain lions & panthers aren't in, WV". I've heard them before daybreak while hunting, and a lot of ppl have them on trailcam.
