Thank you for watching, I hope this video is of some help to you.

Hello from Chattanooga TN 🇺🇸. Many thanks for this tutorial. Well done.
Cheers pal. Glad to be of service
Thank you for the upload!
Note you put the brackets on the wrong side and flipped over. I tried it your way and had to re-read the directions. The note of "the radiused end of the bracket faces forward" was my lightbulb moment. Only issue is that you won't be able to properly torque the tidy down as it will hit the threaded posts
HANG ON I'M WRONG LOL
STILL GETTING THIS TOGETHER
Love the video! installing this on my '06 SV650S when revzilla delivers next week. Thank you very much for taking the time to post. Good and simple instructions.
Lego Junkie Cheers dude
Cheers just bought one of these for my original 2004 sv. As you said instructions were sparse - glad u showed where the two rounded brackets went as this was putting me off taking mine apart lol 😊
Collector Guy Nice one, cheers pal
Thanks for the video used today to fit tail tidy very useful as for dog my german shepherd the same ball mad.
Kenneth Kelly Excellent news, nice hound by the way
Thank you for the video! Unfortunately I won't be able to follow all your instructions because I do not have such a wonderful dog. Maybe throwing a ball isn't necessarily crucial part of the process :)
Awesome dog and bike!
Nolan Eads Cheers dude
Excellent. Why can't R&G produce something of this quality? Maybe offer them this video. (for a royalty of course)
Cheers pal
what bag is that on the rear seat? looks super useful.
I still have the bag, not the bike though. It is very good, was only cheap off eBay. Something like this I think www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155757792281?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vVBE0PVaT6K&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=XQTrrV-OTmW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Hello! i know this video is a bit old however, i’ve just got one of these bikes and want to replace the rear indicators, will “modern indicators” plug and play so to speak? or will i have to do a whole load of re-wiring, thanks!
Hi, sorry, not really my area of expertise but I’m guessing if you’re using LED’s then you will need some in line resistors because the current will be too high for the low voltage LED’s. Don’t quote me on that though. I haven’t had the bike for many years now but it was my second and what a fabulous machine.
@@kaieshabish22 Thank you! i plan on doing some research, your video is great at helping with the tail tidy, thank you!
Hey, very good video, how did you attach or return wire the licence plate light though? As I am stuck on that part. The only part you didn’t show.
Erm, is was fairly straight forward, just a wire cutter and a couple of bullet connectors, hope you’ve got it sorted
Does the r and g kit plug straight into the original plugs or is it a bit of soldering?
No, it needs splicing together
@@kaieshabish22 cheers for the quick reply. Only issue ive had so far is the wait time. Waited nearly 3 weeks now for an item thats in stock
This video really helped to pull it apart in preperation though so thanks very much
Hi, Good demo ! I've just bought one of these bikes, I'm having trouble getting the tail piece off , What holds the very back section on right over the rear light area>? There's something in there and just can't see what it is? as You didn't cover that big in great detail in your video . regards Dave ,
Hi, I’ve no idea I’m afraid, I sold the bike a couple of years back.
@6:49 - is that one of those active chain oiler thingies? I dont think my sv1k has one of them in the tail section. Weird looking.
Hi there excellent video I’ve just bought one of these for my bike where does that rubber piece go thanks
Daniel Jones Hi, thanks for your support, it fits between the tail tidy and the bike to protect the bike paint work, it’ll be fairly obvious when you get all the bits set out
where does the fuse box clip on once the original mudguard is gone ?
Crikey, I’ve no idea, I don’t think it effects the placement of the fuse box if I remember right, it’s been a long time since I made the video and I sold the bike soon after
@@kaieshabish22 I bought what was supposed to be the right tidy for the model year, the original fusebox mount is actually part of the original mudguard, I'll have to improvise something, thanks for reply
Do you know if this will fit 1st gen 2001?
I don’t know I’m afraid, sorry
@@kaieshabish22 no worries thanks for the reply
I was desperate to take off the tail tidy and refit the original mudguard.
Jay B 🤭
Have you done videos 2 and 3 yet on the tiguan active dash?
Just removing one of these "tail tidies", looks dreadful and means the water sprays up the back of the bike. Stick to the original, you know it makes sense!
Hi are you local to Wolverhampton?
I am
@@kaieshabish22 bit cheeky to ask, I know you’ve sold the bike but I’m trying my hand to fitting this tail tidy next week and I wondered if I could give you a call
If get stuck only if you think you could be of help. Cheers Dan
No probs, message me if you’re struggling
@@kaieshabish22 will do cheers should be giving it a go over the June bank holidays
@@kaieshabish22 could I get your number mate got most of it off but a tad stuck. Cheers Dan
What was the thing that you throw away at 6:05??
il rider It’s a large rubber washer that fits between the tail tidy and the underside of the bike
@@kaieshabish22 how to use it?
il rider It protects the bodywork from scratches
Don’t they know noone likes that plastic rear fender?? Lol.
Very true
Now take off that canon
