I think we sometimes overthink these things, and then come up with over-complicated techniques. This one should be a very accessible option for everyone to build now.
I had a massive smile when when you explained the tether glitch. Then I thought to myself, "hey, I can set up the corridor from here too".... Then you did that and my smile grew even bigger. Man, the amount of help and wisdom you imbue on the community is priceless. Thanks so much BeebleBum for all the work you do here. It is greatly appreciated and so under rated. 👍👍👍
Cheers Tidus, always glad to share it. I remember my first Airlock video growing very slowly in views, this one is doing way better now than that one, so it is showing appreciation is growing. 😄
I find your tutorials/guides so useful, especially the ones on glitch building. You make it clear on what to do on each step and that's what I like about your tutorials. I am confident to say that your tutorials are better than any other tutorials on nms and even other games like minecraft. Your tutorials allows me to create my wonderful base that I've been working on for hours. Keep up the good work.
That triangle shaped corridor had me thinking... Ah, if only base terrain reset bug wasn't there, and editable layer was deeper. I'd make a god damn cauldron from Horizon :D
Phenomenal. I’m just starting with glitch building. Haven’t even actually applied it to interesting infrastructure on my base (besides the wire glitch) but you do an amazing job of explaining all of this stuff.
Thanks so much for this video. I just finished the 6-sided door and it's amazing. However, I'm scratching my head a little as to what type of building would gel with it. The entrance is so impressive and the rest of the building should be as well.
If I'm honest I never even knew airlocks used garage doors before this video 💀 amazing work, though! Clear and to the point, easy to understand for someone who isn't as good as building i.e. me.
The circle walls you see in the background are mainly used for some experimentation. But I made several guides on how to build circles, check out these guides: Older technique (still working): ruclips.net/video/z9CbIjZvj80/видео.html Latest technique: ruclips.net/video/jSXSpt4rxC0/видео.html
I was thinking...can the hairlock been done bigger and make the doors open when going with the ship as well? Would be nice to create some sort of garage to enter in when returning to the base from space, making a fun part to fly to your base instead of always using a teleport and doing it the easy way
love the content, and finding it very useful, but, are you able to place a large door, resized to large so its a floor? like a trap door??? or hanger roof???? my attempts keep resizing back to normal
Parts that snap will always resize back to normal, they only stay their size when free placed. So it is possible to do large doors and hangar bays, it will just take a lot of patience.
Hey is it possible to make light floors light up when a starship passes by it? I'm trying to create a race course for starships, and I know that when a human player touches a floor switch it can control the floor light wherever it's placed, but can this somehow be done with the use of a starship as it passes under, by, or through a race checkpoint with green light floors on them to make it actually appear as a proper checkpoint while racing?
Sadly Starships don't activate any switches, except if you shoot buttons and switches. does not work with Proxy or floor switches. Exocrafts work better.
Wiring glitching never works for me. Left click and Q either just left clicks or does Q, never both at the same time. Dunno if that's a mouse or keyboard timing issue or what but the mechanic is literally impossible for me.
I'm trying to build in VR on PS4/5 until the PSVR2 comes out. How do I use the free placement and all the other item movement stuff eg using the current move controllers. Is it possible? I am am building OK but want to do so much more.
I have no idea ScottyBoy... I do not play VR, because I simply can not handle it.. lol. Check out a channel called "Good at Game" which is mainly focused at playing VR games. www.youtube.com/@GoodatGame
I did make a guide on how to make a huge airlock: ruclips.net/video/D-yxYyX26vk/видео.html The color pallet might be a bit more difficult tough, because the techniques used for it, force a bit of a set color.
Keyboard and mouse glitching is very sensitive... it is possible, but very precise There are a few builders that seem to manage fine with it, but I prefer just using my controller on the PC, just easier. You can use Macro's to have these glitches work - there was a time I used the Razer app to make macros for it. And I think Xaine's world still has the AutoHotkey setups on his website.
I was looking forward to someone finally doing an actual airlock with 2 doors and a 1-2 second wait between one door shutting and the other opening, you know like and "AIRLOCK". This is just a door, not only that it's one I've seen done multiple times and called a door every time. Don't get me wrong, the guide is fine, just don't title your videos with clickbait, having "AIRLOCK" all in caps makes it seem like that's exactly what you're actually building. Please do an actual airlock that works from both sides, with the door shutting you in and a delay on opposite door opening to give the illusion of pressurizing/depressurizing, especially for underwater bases. I tried myself a while ago when I was learning how to use the switch parts etc but couldn't get it to work from both directions (doors would be open at the same time for a split second on the way out). Another Idea I had was to put in some lights that would light up when the door shut behind you and start counting down (turning off) to let you know when the door is opening and that you're not just stuck in some d!ckheads trap.
What an amazing guide! Broken into sections, easy to follow, includes controls for all platforms. You're amazing Beeblebum!
Thank you! Really appreciate your kind words 🤗
These airlock doors are just getting easier and easier. Thanks for simplifying this technique Beebs

This channel is way too underrated. The guides for NMS are the best out there!
That triangle shaped corridor had me thinking...
Ah, if only base terrain reset bug wasn't there, and editable layer was deeper. I'd make a god damn cauldron from Horizon :D
You could use existing Caves, there are some pretty great ones out there.
But sometimes with updates, terrain generation can change as well...
Phenomenal. I’m just starting with glitch building. Haven’t even actually applied it to interesting infrastructure on my base (besides the wire glitch) but you do an amazing job of explaining all of this stuff.
I have a series of doors at a test site, half were built before the big change.
:D
Kinda easier now.
you guys are brilliant. I'm slowly learning glitch buidling, but you guys take it to the next level
Thanks so much for this video. I just finished the 6-sided door and it's amazing. However, I'm scratching my head a little as to what type of building would gel with it. The entrance is so impressive and the rest of the building should be as well.
Haha, I know what you mean... I love using gates like this to block of Caves and such as well, it does fit really well for that.
Been following for a few weeks. Great content! Been getting into building more and more. I think I’m ready to take on this airlock! Thank you!
You got it! Best of luck with it! 😊
That 6 side UAG technique is brilliant
Yeah, and not even using the UAG for it in this guide.. but it will make the best result for sure!

Sir, please allow me to stand up so that I can bow deeply to you. This work is downright sinfully extraordinary
So cool
Exactly what I was looking for!
Fantastic video as always Mr Bum, very good work, thank you
BROOOOOOOOOOOO THATS AMAZING!
Definitely going to build this!
Thank you!
Nice tutorial!
You and Q Ball gaming are my #1’s for NMS you are a MASTER builder thank you for all of the tutorials they are always so detailed and so helpful!
I really enjoy watching these videos. You're a good teacher, keep up the good work!
Awesome video. I like the pace you go and how you explain the options in a way it can be recreated by viewers like me. Thanks!
Thanks for making a new one
No problem, This should be the easiest for a while now.. Until HG gives us an option to snap in different angles. 😄
If I'm honest I never even knew airlocks used garage doors before this video 💀 amazing work, though! Clear and to the point, easy to understand for someone who isn't as good as building i.e. me.
Absolutely stunning. I’d have to destroy a portion of my base to add this, definitely going to. I’d call the glitch building “in game tech”
Thank you good job I've been playing so long but never understood how to do adjacency wire ect easy to understand many thanks
To think how we had to struggle to get this done in the past :), Thanks for this Beebs
No worries! 👍
Badass Beebs thank you!
So informative 👏 thankyou for your very easy to follow guidelines
Hi, that's a great easy guide, thanks so much. One questions? How did you make that circle airport? Thanks again
The circle walls you see in the background are mainly used for some experimentation.

Interesting I feel it's so big tho I won't be able to use it unless I try to build my own space station 😅

Egads! They haven't fixed that wire rubber banding issue yet? WTH, HG!
Are you talking about the wire being angled?
I personally never really have been bothered by it.
Has this been patched or something? Can't "store" any part with q+c
