    We don't get such beautiful boxes in the UK (from GPURisers.uk), but we can all agree that what's inside matters :).

    Why you put a bigger cpu fan? The stock one come with 3900x runs cool and shining here. With default settings, cpu is about 65C when mining on MO with algo switch. 16 threads used. 75% cpu loading. I even set the physical fan speed switch on low. Are you going to overclock? Btw, nice ram, I couldn’t find cl14 at 3200, settled on cl16 @ 3200.

      Ya just went with the bigger one to see how it does and so far seems good on temp better then my aio in my work station lol it is open air though. If I ever try to go higher clocks then will be safe.

    Thanks

      @@RabidMining How much power consumption do you use on average, do you know?
      And whats your "average" profits?
      Living in ohio, I see we average at 12.38cents per kw/h - and everything I look up shows that I will infact spend more money on power consumption and not profit at all.
      (new to mining and just trying to better understand it all before I finalize building a rig, well... 3 of them)

      Hey Rabid, on a recent vid from son of a tech, it was a chia coin build. Son used a Asrock B550 with the extra 4 pin power, he mentioned that you don’t want your processor left starving for power. I think he used 5800x. I’m building the exact same rig as you right now, 3900x same 3200CL14 but I’m stuck with which motherboard (extra 4 pin, or no 4 pin). You mentioned it’s not needed. So I shouldn’t worry about that 4pin with our 3900x, last thing the VRM or mosfets (12+2) or 10+2 etc. Does that make any difference? For mining Monero/Monero Ocean? I appreciate any suggestions and again love the channel. Very helpful and informative

    • @RabidMining
      @RabidMining  3 года назад

      @@fletchfletcherson7282 do want more vrm and better cooling on for it for maximizing performance but when it comes down to efficency dont really wanna run it maxed out. The extra 4 pin is more of a gamer marketing gimmick wont starve the cpu specially with the little oc for mining. They arnt even used when people do them crazy nitrogen OC tests.

    hoping a third party will create a mobo specifically for cpu mining (eg rebtech) seems like such a waste of space and resources . all those parts are extra cost just to mine on the cpu.
