This is due to memory speed, some RX 580 had hynix memory, and i all RX 570 that i have have Micron (for me the best ones). You can reduce power usage , if modding the BIOS you reduce the memory voltage from 1000mv (stock) to 950mv or lower (depending on the testing for estability) and reduce the core clock which would enable less voltage. Every card should flashed and tested strongly before putting it on the mining rig or it will give you issues.

08:10: Entering 0.09 $ per kilowatt. Lol. In my country its about 0.30 Euro/kW -> 3 1/3 times higher = needs 3 1/3 times longer = 15 month * 3 1/3 = 50 month = 4 years and 2 month! Remember: Thats only the break even point. So, forget it to mine here in Germany - until you have your own atomic power plant in your backyard ;-)

Hi. In my opinion currently usage of rx4xx and rx5xx for mining is some kind of mistake. If you use 6x msi rx5700 evoke or gamming x, you can have power consumption around of 760W with ~320MHS. BTW usage of win$hit os for mining is also some kind of misktake. Why cannot you start using linux, like for instance hiveos?
Hey! For some people it is easier to use the 580 of they find some cheap deals. But I completely agree! Our next build video is 5700XT ;) The reason we use windows is because it is more commonly used for beginners, and I'd like to make sure we cover it step by step then at some point we will convert to Linux based system!
All the GPUs we got were used off of Facebook marketplace! Plus time difference as well, back then there wasn't that much demand since mining was pretty low on profits when I bought the GPUs, now profitablity is high so are the prices!
is it god to use electric fan instead of separate mini fan each? large fan has strong wind than that small fans and maybe electricity wise. What do you think sir?
Can a rig be built with different GPUs? Can you mix AMD with Nvidia? Can you mix the chipsets IE could you use RTX 3060 with RTX 2070? Might be a video in this question if you haven't already done one.
We were able to get them used for 110 each ! Although next time we will make sure to count also off shelf prices so that it can be accurate for buying off shelf as well. But we do recommend looking for used deals they will help save alot of money
@@MiningChamber Yes, it's really annoying, we pay more than 0.3€ (0.37 USD) / kWh It's really tough to get started, I thought about getting a small Rig and then buy more cards but it would take me two years for most builds to break even at all :/
Great stuff. I'm getting 188 Mh/s at 800W on 6X 580s with Hynix mem. Linux really does well with AMD cards. Core voltage is well managed this way. 860mV on your mem voltage. 865mV on your core.
@@MiningChamber I briefly tried HiveOS. It's so good for remote and flexible management. Wish I could've stayed with it. But I could never set the voltages correctly using their overclocking tab. I use ethos and it works great.
That's good to know thank you!! My rig has been crashing here and there so the undervolting as well having some issue but we will sort it out and make an update about it!
@Mining Chamber - Check that. Turns out my power meter was faulty. I'm getting 191Mh/s @ 847W total system power measured with a new meter. And it's 835mV core, not 865. You've done a great job with your power efficiency!
Thank you!! I need to get a new power meter as well to make sure 😂 this one been through alot. But thank you definitely some room to improve, I'm sitting on 850mv il try to tune it a bit lower
hot air rises. so why does the outtake fans on the side? i think that wont help much on the far (from the outtake)side of the rig. why not put it above for better cooling
Actually the GPUs intake fan is on the side then it pushes the heat throughout the I/o side and a bit from the top of the GPU! As for the other fans, it won't make much difference really since they are low cfm fans. Just for the looks 😛⛏️

So I am thinking to buy 12x Rx580 8gb, what power supply should I use (how many watts power supply do I need)... I live in a apartment which has 110v(USA), is it okay to plug two Power supplies? And lastly does windows support 12 GPUs? Thank you for reading this😊
Hey!! For the powesupplies you will be completely fine! Any ATX (Regular PSU for computers) will be just fine ! Now for the outlet part, you will definitely need to be a bit wary. The 12 RX 580s can take most likely above 1300 watts. A regular outlet can only give 1500 watts with the 80% rule. This might seem alot to keep in mind haha but you can check this video where we go over it step my step! ruclips.net/video/MF_ELz0OV7I/видео.html Now for the GPUs, you can definitely run 12 in Windows, there might be some troubleshooting to do but it's for sure achievable. I do recommend the 5700s XT though. They are really efficient for limited power. They take the same amount as a RX 580 but provide double the hashpower. 😅
Put the numbers in a mining calculator and check again ;). The price of Ethereum is now $1300, breakeven for all rigs are around 6 months of good electricity

I'm running 8x Rx580 8gb on a B250 with two power supplies. When I put a 9th GPU on it, the results are that one of my GPUs coming up as dead when I start teamredminer. It's 95% of the time the last one I added. Tried different risers, but still running into the same issues. Any insight on this?
08:10: Entering 0.09 $ per kilowatt. Lol. In my country its about 0.30 Euro/kW -> 3 1/3 times higher = needs 3 1/3 times longer = 15 month * 3 1/3 = 50 month = 4 years and 2 month!
Remember: Thats only the break even point.
And this is assuming/underlying that
- no hardware failure occurs
and
- that the price of the mined currency will stay constant during these time span; knowing that it also can increase - but also decrease!
So, forget it to mine here in Germany - until you have your own atomic power plant in your backyard ;-)
Oh man not only that, it will cost you to mine haha it wont be profitable I believe with that rate! Sorry :( Crazy high rate
Ist halt leider echt so :/
normally i would throw hate for you guys driving up the gpu prices too high but goddam that a clean lookin rig
xD Thank you and we are sorry! Although now the scalpers are the issue :( Take it easy!
@@MiningChamber i have a ryzen 1600x liq cooled 16gb 3200s ram and a evga gtx 980ti im half tempted to give it a go but i only have a 600 or 650w psu
That is a really nice system! Although if you try to mine ethereum with a 980ti it won't hash that well! Might lose you money if your electric is expensive. Getting one of the recommended gpus to mine with them is surely the way to go!
Love your channel! Finally a channel that helps us noobies! This is the rig I am building as a second rig. The first rig was done for me except for the GPUs.
Thank you!! We are glad it's helping! Even though we are noobies as well 😅🙏😂 good luck in your journey!

How did you attach the 7" display to your frame? I like it and am looking at some on Amazon.
I just placed it there with a double sided tape, they are pretty nice!
Hey can you post a new link to the gpu? Cause it says it’s like $700 and you said it was $100
Awesome job! I want to pull the trigger on a new rx 580 rig so bad :). Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!! We couldn't hold back, we got another. Now we will miss out on the new GPUs 😂😅
Our next build video is 5700XT ;)
The reason we use windows is because it is more commonly used for beginners, and I'd like to make sure we cover it step by step then at some point we will convert to Linux based system!
I remeber times from 2013, when the return on investment lasted up to few months, not more than a year... such a good times.
Ahh the great times!!
It's still profitable though if you do it smart..
@@bekeneel for sure! It all comes to electricity prices and effeciency. Although back in those days it was crazy 😂
Where did you get these cards from?
settings>graphics>advanced>gpu workload. That is how you can change it on the newer amd software
We figured that out quite late! Haha thank you though for the comment! ⛏️
Splendid bro
I love it
You are best on RUclips
Thank you so much!! We are glad you enjoy the content!
guys, I would like to know where you can get RX580 for 110 USD? Every store I checked it is 200 USD or more...
All the GPUs we got were used off of Facebook marketplace! Plus time difference as well, back then there wasn't that much demand since mining was pretty low on profits when I bought the GPUs, now profitablity is high so are the prices!
where did you find 200 dollar rx580 's
is it god to use electric fan instead of separate mini fan each? large fan has strong wind than that small fans and maybe electricity wise. What do you think sir?
Fans aren't really effective just there mostly for aesthetics. An external box fan would be the best option if you do need cooling
Already tried to add a nice undervolt + overclock to all GPU‘s?
We have a video for rx 580 overclocking you can find it in our gpu overview playlist!
This is a good deal. Good thing I found this video 🔥
Where did you get the $110 rx 580 I need that
Haha a while back!! They used to be cheap 😩
Can a rig be built with different GPUs? Can you mix AMD with Nvidia? Can you mix the chipsets IE could you use RTX 3060 with RTX 2070? Might be a video in this question if you haven't already done one.
Where did you get 6 MSI RX 580's for $660?
We were able to get them used for 110 each ! Although next time we will make sure to count also off shelf prices so that it can be accurate for buying off shelf as well. But we do recommend looking for used deals they will help save alot of money
Where u find this rx580 for $110 ?
It is 600 on amazon
Awesome! ♥
Thank you, I thought mining was dead or too expensive, but it's even kinda profitable in Germany
Thank you! 💙
I did hear electricity there is super expensive though so becareful!
@@MiningChamber Yes, it's really annoying, we pay more than 0.3€ (0.37 USD) / kWh
It's really tough to get started, I thought about getting a small Rig and then buy more cards but it would take me two years for most builds to break even at all :/
@@timobeyer9870 that sucks :( good luck!
@@MiningChamber thank you
What are the actual cards your using for your rig because i can’t seem to find dual 8 pin input on any 580
I wish one day i will get to build the awesome thing like this can you plz provide minimum cost needed to build this
🙏🙏 I think now to buy it off the shelf it will cost from 1500-2000$ USD
Great stuff. I'm getting 188 Mh/s at 800W on 6X 580s with Hynix mem. Linux really does well with AMD cards. Core voltage is well managed this way. 860mV on your mem voltage. 865mV on your core.
Thank you! That's awesome we will try that! We flipped it to HiveOs now ⛏️🙌 definitely much better than windows so far
Keep going!
Thank you!!
hot air rises. so why does the outtake fans on the side? i think that wont help much on the far (from the outtake)side of the rig. why not put it above for better cooling
Actually the GPUs intake fan is on the side then it pushes the heat throughout the I/o side and a bit from the top of the GPU!
As for the other fans, it won't make much difference really since they are low cfm fans. Just for the looks 😛⛏️
Hi bud,
Question
We get free electricity as we have a FIT windmill in the UK......
What would be the best graphics cards for price / to MH/s not including electricity as an expense?
Thanks :)
much appreciated
That's awesome! I recommend Radeon VIIs and RX 580s 8 gb as the option for now. But I would wait for the new cards to come out so we can see what's new!
@@MiningChamber When do the new cards come out?
I just picked up 2 xfx rx580. Put it on my test rig got 29.5 out of the box. Did a bios mod patched tge drivers got 24. Un mod the bios then got 26. Then unpatched the drivers back to 29.5. Running windows 10 with blockchain drivers. Any idea what's going on. Thanks
Try more recent drivers, blockchain drivers are unnecessary now, also use the rxboost command for the miner and such. Check our write up on miningchamber.com about this gpu
Very nice video, very descriptive. Thank you for this. Quick question, with this setup, which hashing algorithms can you solve? Can with this setup solve at the same time p.e. ETH and BTX (or BIX) and how can i accomplish this?

I love that display by the way. Is that a 7”?
Yes it is!!
6.5" but I keep it real clean ;)
Which is best card for eth....mining sir plz suggest
My RIG has 184 MH/s on ETH with 500 Watts - easily powered by my solar system ;-). 1500 EUR hardware cost for the RIG/PC.
Nice!! Which gpus are you running and what's you oc settings? That is pretty low wattage!
@@MiningChamber I explained in detail on my website www.ethereumeinfach.de - it's german but you will find the hardware easily ;-). I just started a few days ago, so I am happy for every single visit :)
@@MiningChamber Im wondering aswell.
I'm currently doing 183 MH/s
673-675 watts from wall, x6 570 8 GB Rig.
I dont think it's AT all possible to use 500w from wall, and get 184 mh/s
It has to be all gpu's.. and not from wall.
I think so as well, but maybe there is a secret sauce we know not about 😛
Very useful video.
Could you build another RX 580 ones but this time with detailed step by step explanation. Especially which cable goes where and where to use splitters etc..
Thanks.
So if you have 10 of them you can make 12,000$ a year! Seems like a lot of work and risk plus electricity here is .16$ kwh
What software should I use to mine though :l
There are multiple softwares to use, some good ones for windows are Phoneixminer. In this video we use claymore and show what arguments to put in there but now claymore doesn't work anymore so I recommend Phoenixminer

I made my own budget now all in 5508$ for the same rig for 4 GPU card and i need to collect graphic card from japan for 699$ because no more stock in Turkey
You made the profit on time. Thank you for detailed information and it is very helpfull. I am excited to errect my first rig i hope i can make some profit.
Is that baby screen the rigs monitor? Who, what, why, when, where, how? lol Sweet looking build GG
Hahaha I thought the same when I first saw it! It's an awesome tiny screen doesn't take much power at all and it can be useful, but it's mainly for looks 😉😂
Due to the natural increase of network difficult, won't you essentially never break even from how hard it'll get before you reach that 15 month mark?
Even if the difficulty will increase youl eventually come around and breakeven. Also difficulty does not always go up but it does come down too when some miners drop from the network !
dont forget if bitcoin hits 20k bucks again. video cards from 5 years ago will be making profit again. i have saved all my old cards minus sub-8gb because i know bitcoin will hit highs again.
Now that GPU Cost like 500$ used yeah life is like that friends...
ya so now he making like 1500 a month off of that 1100 investment alone
hello bro I enjoyed the video. From I have a question about the profits though; are you making 3.50usd from the whole rig or just on a single card? im still a little confused thank you
Hey man! Loved the video. You earned a sub from me.
I am building this right now, and I'm wondering what graphics card you would recommend to use? I know the video is the RX580 8GB, but I am wondering if maybe I should try the RX 5700 XT for a higher cost. Do you think the higher cost would justify this? Or what card do you recommend?
Hey!! I do recommend the 5700XT more than the RX 580. But if you can find really good used deals I don't see why not ;). This week's video will be about the 5700XT so hopefully that will help you decide!! Thank you for supporting us!

hey need help, so im building a similar rig with 8 on it, but my cards only have one 8 pin connector. so your saying i should get the pcie splitters connect one end to the gpu and one to the riser and then the psu connects to the other end of the splitter correct?
That is correct!! More on that in our PSU ATX guide, I recommend you checking it out! Should be one of our latest videos
@@MiningChamber ok will do thanks again! keep up the good work!

This might seem alot to keep in mind haha but you can check this video where we go over it step my step! ruclips.net/video/MF_ELz0OV7I/видео.html
Now for the GPUs, you can definitely run 12 in Windows, there might be some troubleshooting to do but it's for sure achievable. I do recommend the 5700s XT though. They are really efficient for limited power. They take the same amount as a RX 580 but provide double the hashpower. 😅
15 mounths to break even?! What a waste!
Put the numbers in a mining calculator and check again ;). The price of Ethereum is now $1300, breakeven for all rigs are around 6 months of good electricity
Haha who's laughing now.
My rig won't detect more than 2 cards
asus b250 mining experts are over 200 rn lolll
$999 now
Is it possible to achieve lower power consumption with 30mh/s? lets say 700-800w
I would think it definitely is possible if you mod the BIOS. We will try that in a video soon so we will be able to find out together!
I have two mining rigs, with RX 580 and another with RX 570 and the RX 580 one is doing 186Mh/s, at 815W at the wall with bios mod. The RX 570 rig is doing 185.3Mh/s doing 805W from the wall. It can go even lower, if modding the BIOS you reduce the memory voltage from 1000mv (stock) to 950mv or lower (depending on the testing for estability). Every card should flashed and tested strongly before putting it on the mining rig or it will give you issues.
@@MrPiske1 how to do?

does the processor g3900 affects the mining speed? can i use lower spec than this?
Hey! It does not really affect it at all! Its just for the rig to feel smoother once you try to download stuff and run applications on it then a better processor will be able to handle that more smoothly. But as for your hashrate it does not affect it at all.
Классно ☺
Hey Mining CHamber,
How did you connect all the GPU on 1 PSU?
The PSU only got 5 PCI-E slots right? Did you connect two cards on 1 splitter?
I ended up using 2 cables to power 3 GPUs with the use of splitters !
