Can’t think of a better way to start my Saturday then having a giggle or two or three while watching Julie make pretty things. And May I add that your daughters are not strange. How refreshing that they enjoy going to museums. I have had the pleasure of going to museums (some in England) with my daughter, niece and nephew when they were teenagers and it was very interesting to see what captured their attention. I remember in high school when I was taking a sewng course we had worksheets printed with whirls and straight lines and such that we had to practice sewing on lol. It was actually quite fun way back then, and I guess a precursor of my love for sewing paper now! 😂

I love these tags, Julie! I’m not very straight with my sewing, I think I’ll try wonky sewing! Maybe that will become my M.O.! I like the bird images, too! I guess you’re right, I haven’t seen you use many birds! My birds never seem to be the right size, so something like this where I can make the tag fit the bird will work! Miss you, hope all is ok! Erica❤

Julie, I LOVE my Carl Cutter 💙💜💙 I've had mine for 25 years as well, however, about 10 years ago I knocked it over and the arm broke. I remembered Carl has a Lifetime Guarantee and they replaced it ..... no questions asked. A great company for sure and a fantastic cutter. I forgot I had all those fancy round blades; good thing I found this video of yours now I can put my scissors away for those fancy cuts. xoxoxo Baribe

I have that kit. It's lovely. Used it to make some bits for my ring bound journal (which I'm still on with by the way 🤫). Love what you did here with the birdies, they look fab with the book page. Enjoyed your waffling, had me giggling!... and now I can't get "watch out Beadle's about" 🎵 out of my head 😄

Love these Julie 😀 I have the same problems with pins 😡 I got some ‘stainless steel ‘ ones from amazon and when they arrived they were rusty! 😂 they’re ok for spirit glue though like fabritac and collall, it’s just PVA that they turn brown. 😀💖

Oooo I love the noise that rotary decal cutter makes ~ I’d be decal edging everything in sight 🤣😂 I’ve got some decal edge scissors and I don’t use them because everything always looks I’ve cut it with a knife and fork 😁 🤗🌿

cant remember most of what I was going to say now! lol. But lovely tags/toppers, now I need to find some English bird graphics. ';yay much', now it may be a Yorkshire measurement, but we kentish lasses use it with love :D Mind we also use ( at least were I live) the word 'Grockle', liberated from...Cornwall???
Did remember to order an icing bottle for my Colall , now mine IS that twist top bottle, so maybe that's got something to do with it?! Hmmm.....

Try taking tip off bottle and letting some fumes out.

Hi Julie, I love these journal cards! I was wondering on what weight you print your labels and your birds. For now, I have regular copy paper (80 gsm) and I also have 160 gsm paper. I often feel like the 80 gsm is too thin, but the 160 gsm is too heavy.
Hi Kirsten, i use 110 or 120 gsm paper for some smaller fiddlier stuff and the 160gsm for others. I do find that 160 gsm varies in thickness between brands though 😊🤗💜

What printer do you use please? I would love to buy digital kits, but they never come out well from my printer!

My printer is a very inexpensive Cannon MG5650 inkjet and i use inexpensive compatible inks. I do always get a good quality paper or cardstock though. I buy from Amazon and use a few brands depending on the current price. This is the one i use currently, Navigator amzn.to/3B18fmn.
