- Today i'm transforming Cheap Envelopes into stunning Ephemera pieces for your junk journals. I've been mass making them for my Edith Holden Junk journals.
Over the years i've gathered many supplies and it's time to use some of them up or throw them out of my tiny craft room.
I have alot of cheap envelopes that are barely fit for purpose, but they will maker perfect bases for ephemera. Join me as i mass make some yummy pockets.

Another great video! Love the projects, i have trouble cutting into double sided paper, i need to get over it, just play and have fun, not using my stuff is a waste and stressing over what should be fun is definitely stifling my creativity.
Love the series! I have a ton of supplies I need to "use it up or throw it out". Alternatively, it would be really neat if we had a mass exchange between followers and RUclipsrs alike to exchange a small packet of supplies.
I love these, Julie! You could also wrap the Edith Holden pages around and make a side tuck on the back.

Don't throw them out ! Donate them to your local charity shop. If it wasn't for generous woman who donate, I would not be able to junk journal. Put all your discards into a bag for another to have. You never know who's watching wishing they had 1/8th of your great stuff. Thank you for the videos!

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns I am such a collector….cant throw anything out that I might use “someday” crafting. I have a ton of envelopes in different colors. The best part of using envelopes is you don’t need to measure/glue papers to make the pocket.
I totally agree love😁 My stast is getting out of hand though. I used to take all my unwanted to school with me and playgroup, but now i don't go there it's become an issue for my 6 foot square craft room😐 and my overflow around the house😅🤗💜
Everything turned out great. My son is going to London in Sept, he's getting a list of Edith Holden and botanical books to look for, he was raised shopping in resale stores and said he's up for the challenge, lol. 💜
I had to google what a "premiere" on RUclips was, and yep, still don't quite get it.... lol. If you're uploading a video, how can you chat live, as the video is already done??... maybe I didn't read the explanation right, I blame the natural blonde in me, jeepers, lol. 🤣😂🤣
I just finished drawing shirt designs and needed a piece of paper to write notes on, and finally decided to get up and get a post-it note from my computer desk in the living room, as yep, I agree with you, some paper is just too good to write notes on, lol. 😁

Sounds like you raised him well Carol. My eldest gets most of her clothes in charity shops, she has a vintage punky retro style. i hope he manages to grab all the books for you.
the Premiere, well the video goes up as usual, but from 2pm, for the duration of the video, you will see there is a live chat section where the comments usually are and i will be abple to chat in real time with everyone.
I hope that made sense love, but as you're a natural blonde, maybe not. I blame everything on the fact i was a naural blonde😅

It's a gorgeous book isn't it. People often comment that it's expensive, but like you say it's so versatile and every scrap is usable, unlike my new country diary paper pad😐🤗💜

I can't believe you don't have them. They really are cheap as chips here. It's funny what everyday stuff we assume is available everywhere. Take guest checks, we don't have them here or tyvek envelopes🤗💜

Everything is so pretty, Julie! I love the way you use botanical book pages, they always come out so nice! I’ve always had you on the “black bell” & I didn’t see your Premiere, do they disappear afterwards? I just got a ring light & I can see so much better, I had terrible shadows & couldn’t work at night, it’s really fantastic! How close to your work is the light? I had to get one with a floor stand, because I didn’t have a way to clip it to the table, but it’s a really flat base & I can have my trash can on it! Looking forward to Saturday! It will be so fun! Erica❤ Did you see the new TH scissors?! I wish he would quit inventing really cool things! These have several features which the other snips on the market don’t have, of course!!❤

My ring light is about 3 feet above my desk and i actually have it pointing up at the white ceiling or it's too bright for me. I have a daylight bulb in the ceiling light too . Haven't seen the new scissors yet, but i heard about them and i will probably end up getting the ones with the handles. I did indulge in some of the new stamp stickers and a few other bits and bobs. they only arrived today and i haven't played with them yet. He is good at making better versions of other craft tools. I love my timmy scissors and guard them with my life😅🤗💜
Yeah, watch his video on the scissors! They each come with 2 springs, so that you can change the quickness & strength of the scissors!! Wow! I must be WAY blinder than you! I have my ring light right at my head height, pointing down!! I really needed it! I have a tall table lamp on my desk & overhead lights all with 100 watts. All LED light bulbs. Sorry I don’t know how any of that translate to your bulbs… They’re strong, but I’m left-handed & fought terrible shadows. Thank you for your advice!! I really value it!❤

@YvonneCook-gv5pq I know I am. I didn't mean to be, but one thing led to another and another and it's hard to even use some things because they can't be replaced, so you end up buying two of it because you just have to hoard one for 'someday.' 😀

I,m the same Lynda and my memory is so bad i forget my favourite channels exist for weeks on end. the algorithm is too fickle. I search a recipe for tea, watch a few and then i get non stop cooking videos recommended and none of my fave crafters. I had the channel name wrong for the 6x6 project. Hither and Yon (creations ?) she posted a video today. Her first project uses 9 6x6 papers. It would make quick work of those papers

I love your videos and ideas to use up what you have. I need to do that more. I’m making journals out of my envelopes. Right now I’m creating covers. So cool. ❤using doilies, lace, card stock, and scrapbook paper. But yes creating more stuff to store and more scraps🤭😉🤣❤️‼️
The trouble is i think we crafters are all hoarders and collectors and what we don't have always looks so much more appealing than what we do have. We are a crazy bunch🤗💜

Great use of the not so great envelopes. I like that you left the backs of some as is for writing space.❤ I don't think I've ever really looked for US illustrated botanical books. I have tons of "real' pictures garden books I plan to use, though 😊

I agree with you on that pad I also bought one, thinking it will be just right (Edith Holden pad) thoroughly disappointed. it's not for me, not many muted colours.

I just found a storage box of envelopes I bought when I first started the JJ journey now I can try this. Love you see you bell in my notification zone. Hope your cardboard / mulch combo works well in your garden , i dont have grass , i can't be bothered with the faff, we do have trees and some flowers in beds that are currently competing with the weeds , but i can't be bothered to deal with them either. 😂 The hubby has an allotment but i don't enter that, same as he keeps put my craft room...❤

The garden is the bain of my life. I gave up on the lawn as we have a small wooded area behind the house and allsorts took root. Like you say, it's a faff. i did once think of hiring it out as an allotment, but it's also steep and boggy, so cardboard it is😁🤗💜
