- Today i'm transforming Cheap Envelopes into stunning Ephemera pieces for your junk journals. I've been mass making them for my Edith Holden Junk journals.
Over the years i've gathered many supplies and it's time to use some of them up or throw them out of my tiny craft room.
I have alot of cheap envelopes that are barely fit for purpose, but they will maker perfect bases for ephemera. Join me as i mass make some yummy pockets.

We are just hoarders aren't we. I have some boxes of paper that have been at the back of my under stairs glory cupboard since i moved into this house 14 years ago. It wlll definitely be vintage by the time i get round to digging it out. Thanks roxanne lovely☺️🤗💜
A TIP FOR YOU: if you get a short little glass or cup and put a wadded up damp paper towel in the bottom, in between uses, put you glue bottle in, tip down, no cap, and it will stay flowing for your whole project. When you’re done, put your cap or charm needle back in and store your glue as usual. Damp the paper town again when you’re ready to craft again. 😊

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns I am such a collector….cant throw anything out that I might use “someday” crafting. I have a ton of envelopes in different colors. The best part of using envelopes is you don’t need to measure/glue papers to make the pocket.
I totally agree love😁 My stast is getting out of hand though. I used to take all my unwanted to school with me and playgroup, but now i don't go there it's become an issue for my 6 foot square craft room😐 and my overflow around the house😅🤗💜

It's a gorgeous book isn't it. People often comment that it's expensive, but like you say it's so versatile and every scrap is usable, unlike my new country diary paper pad😐🤗💜

I love your videos and ideas to use up what you have. I need to do that more. I’m making journals out of my envelopes. Right now I’m creating covers. So cool. ❤using doilies, lace, card stock, and scrapbook paper. But yes creating more stuff to store and more scraps🤭😉🤣❤️‼️
The trouble is i think we crafters are all hoarders and collectors and what we don't have always looks so much more appealing than what we do have. We are a crazy bunch🤗💜

I can't believe you don't have them. They really are cheap as chips here. It's funny what everyday stuff we assume is available everywhere. Take guest checks, we don't have them here or tyvek envelopes🤗💜

@YvonneCook-gv5pq I know I am. I didn't mean to be, but one thing led to another and another and it's hard to even use some things because they can't be replaced, so you end up buying two of it because you just have to hoard one for 'someday.' 😀

Love this idea! I have a box of envelopes (all shapes colours and sizes) that I got when local newsagent closed and whilst I have been slowly using them I still have an awful lot left. So this is perfect! TY

I'm at work Saturday so I'll miss your premiere 😢 . Hope your cardboard / mulch combo works well in your garden , i dont have grass , i can't be bothered with the faff, we do have trees and some flowers in beds that are currently competing with the weeds , but i can't be bothered to deal with them either. 😂 The hubby has an allotment but i don't enter that, same as he keeps put my craft room...❤

The garden is the bain of my life. I gave up on the lawn as we have a small wooded area behind the house and allsorts took root. Like you say, it's a faff. i did once think of hiring it out as an allotment, but it's also steep and boggy, so cardboard it is😁🤗💜

Beautiful pockets! Great way to use excess envelopes!!!! See if your local elementary school can use your extras for the kids to use for art projects. They won't care if they're wonky or not!!!! :-) Just an idea!!!!!!! I LOVE your videos!!!!!!

Love the series! I have a ton of supplies I need to "use it up or throw it out". Alternatively, it would be really neat if we had a mass exchange between followers and RUclipsrs alike to exchange a small packet of supplies.

Great use of the not so great envelopes. I like that you left the backs of some as is for writing space.❤ I don't think I've ever really looked for US illustrated botanical books. I have tons of "real' pictures garden books I plan to use, though 😊

I just found a storage box of envelopes I bought when I first started the JJ journey now I can try this. Love you see you bell in my notification zone. Everything is so pretty, Julie! I love the way you use botanical book pages, they always come out so nice! I’ve always had you on the “black bell” & I didn’t see your Premiere, do they disappear afterwards? I just got a ring light & I can see so much better, I had terrible shadows & couldn’t work at night, it’s really fantastic! How close to your work is the light? I had to get one with a floor stand, because I didn’t have a way to clip it to the table, but it’s a really flat base & I can have my trash can on it! Looking forward to Saturday! It will be so fun! My ring light is about 3 feet above my desk and i actually have it pointing up at the white ceiling or it's too bright for me. I have a daylight bulb in the ceiling light too . Haven't seen the new scissors yet, but i heard about them and i will probably end up getting the ones with the handles. I did indulge in some of the new stamp stickers and a few other bits and bobs. they only arrived today and i haven't played with them yet. He is good at making better versions of other craft tools. I love my timmy scissors and guard them with my life😅🤗💜
Yeah, watch his video on the scissors! They each come with 2 springs, so that you can change the quickness & strength of the scissors!! Wow! I must be WAY blinder than you! I have my ring light right at my head height, pointing down!! I really needed it! I have a tall table lamp on my desk & overhead lights all with 100 watts. All LED light bulbs. Sorry I don’t know how any of that translate to your bulbs… They’re strong, but I’m left-handed & fought terrible shadows. Thank you for your advice!! I really value it!❤
