Me too 🤘. The sun really gets going once it’s in there and you have to start messing with the electrical LOL. It’s pretty straightforward i’m going to have to re-pin some things to make it so the dash works but it’s really not that big of undertaking.

How does that engine compare with the Toyota truck 4.7L?
The 2uz is directly based off of the the 1uz. The 2uz is a cast iron block making it more than double the weight. It’s bored out pretty much to the maximum to produce the larger displacement, that combined with the substantially thinner connecting rods leaves it to be unable to produce the same kind of horsepower as the pre-94 1uz with stock internals. They are also interference engines as opposed to the non-interference 1uz non vvti and they come equipped with veritable valve timing. They’re great engines just I prefer not dealing with the variable valve timing. And out of the box the pre-94 1uz engines and handle a lot more horsepower and boost

The best part of making your own motor mounts is that you don't have to pay and wait for the parts to get into stock and be shipped to you only to find out they are the wrong parts.
