Levy would never allow a manager to have almost complete control like Emery enjoys at Villa. That's why some of the best managers in world football have failed there in recent years.
Unai has been given the keys to the kingdom at Villa Park and everyone is fully on board with what he brings. It's a rare thing in football nowadays.

I'm a Spurs fan and certainly didn't want us to lose, but some did, and you're right those fans absolutely deserve where we are now. We are a loser club from top to bottom, inside and out, and it's absolutely devastating for me to say and accept that.
Villa have got most of the first team missing, you don't hear about it from Emery.
We've had horrible injury issues for 2 seasons but we just get on with it. Celtic and Spurs have blamed their loss to us on injuries when we have had one fit CB until Konsa hobbled off against Spurs leaving us playing 2 midfielders in defence.
It just shows that ordinary managers make excuses for losing but great managers find a way to win despite their issues.

They lost the league by a long way and players left. Ange had to build a new team around McGregor, he also had Turnbull and Rogic who played sometimes. Brought in a stack of players for next to nothing. Started badly but won the league and a cup. Next year won all three.
It looked like it would take a few years to rebuild and catch Rangers.
Poor form in Europe was probably an indicator of his likely struggle in EPL with lack of tactics.

Sacking Ange will solve nothing. The problem at Spurs is the quality of player which comes from the recruitment at Spurs which is very poor to say the least. Levy will not entertain signing top quality players as that in turn will increase the wage bill that Levy has been working his hardest to reduce. When it comes to wage bill to income figures, Spurs have a percentage of 42% lower than any other in the Premiership and one of the lowest in Europe. It reminds me of the saying, pay peanuts and you'll get monkeys. That's exactly what we have, a quality of player that's simply not good enough to win anything, but cheap for Daniel Levy and the board to pay that makes them more money. It's been the same for every other manager and will be for any manager who comes in the future, while Daniel Levy holds the reigns Spurs will win nothing, we won't have a squad good enough to. 16 managers Levy has had now, and some very good ones at that, but all have failed and ended up being sacked just to take the blame and keep the heat off of Daniel Levy. I think the fans have now woken up and realise that it's not a change of manager we need but a new owner. So to Daniel Levy I say, thanks for the wonderful training facilities, thanks for one of the best stadiums in the world, but now it's time to take your profit and sell to someone who has ambition to win things on the pitch. Levy's approach to football is business! It's alllmost to the point of a ocd condition with money.spurs have future stars now but need a couple of impact players to replace kane and son to make them competitive but levy won't do it and i am starting to think he cant. His mind cannot throw money at instant impact players he cannot let the wage budget increase the way it would need too. If you are anybody but a spurs fan you think great safe pair of hand but if you are spurs it must be so hard knowing that unless you can do a Brighton and find close to world class at great prices then you are waiting to for a miracle to be competitive.
I'm a arsenal fan and even paying the wages we still have no recent considerable silverware to boast we are competitive but so far that is as far as the money has got us. Let's put things perspective. Spurs without 9 key players from the goalkeeper, center backs, midfielders and strikers lose two games to a full-strength Liverpool and Aston Villa. Tonight, Liverpool made 9 changes to the team that beat Spurs and lost to bottom of the Championship Plymouth Argyle. Are we now calling for Slot to be sacked? I mean the injury crisis at Spurs has been going on for months. Why do fans or pundits think Spurs should be winning these games when Liverpool and Man City prove that team changes or injuries to key players can derail the season. Man City lost Rodri, one player and look at them. Is Pep going to be sacked? I guarantee even Emery could not turn things around at Spurs.

@ No. I think a high workload i.e. a match every three days with limited players available. Think about it, you play a match then have to travel home. Next day is the recovery session Which may exclude you from full training. The day after you are on a train or a bus travelling to your next game. The players are simply burnt out and need a rest. Bowing out of the domestic cups will help Spurs. With key players returning and more time between matches the players will get the time to rest and prepare. If the results do not improve in that time then yes Levy should consider sacking Ange.
If you’re going to chat about injuries, do your homework before embarrassing yourself. Not to mention Watkins and Barkley but Villa had no centre backs playing today, all the main 3 of them are out injured now

@@AdamEpsly I have followed Ange since he coached the Brisbane Roar here in Australia. Every coach has their own style of coaching, in Ange's case it has brough success winning the A-League, J-League and Scottish Premier League. On the world stage he took Australia to the final stages of the World Cup with a team made mostly up from Championship players. Success breeds success. There is nothing one dimensional about his tactics, Brentford a great example of this. The young players brought in were never meant to get the game time they are getting; it is only out of necessity (i.e. to field a team) these young boys are starting. Ange and the team showed what they are capable of at the beginning of last season when they have a fully fit squad and in form players. I know it sounds like excuses but I'm a realist. If all the players were available, fully fit and this was happening, then there is a good reason to call for Ange or any manager to be sacked. I support the team in bad or good times.
