- With the entrance and an interview area done, it is time to continue working on my film studio island in Animal Crossing New Horizons! This time I'll be building a little neighborhood and turning it into some sound stages. Let the filming begin, I hope you enjoy!

I have been building a film studio island since last summer, so it’s interesting to see someone else’s take on one! You could do one sound stage that’s like a proper interior set (maybe even one inspired by a specific film - e.g. do the bathroom inspired by Psycho). The two houses that are technically one sound stage can also be like two spaces of the same concept as if the same production is using both spaces (like a jungle set but two different set ups). Also you can use one as storage (at my film school, the back of our sound stages were used to house set pieces, and the big lights, and the green screen).
Oooh! Reading this as I’m actually working on it! But that’s awesome, I hope you’ve been having lots of fun building your island! I feel like it’s such a fun concept but it’s definitely been challenging for me as well! 🤔😊

And Wow the custom designs you are doing for the Island look amazing! I see that i might come off as ironic, considering the two temporary designs for the Stages, but I really mean it 😂 mine would never look that nice! Also the „Stage 1“ and „Stage 2“ remind me of the Tree-Markers…suspicious 😂. I also dont know how soundstages are supposed to look, but ti think the build turned out so good! This Island quickly becomes my favorite series of yours to watch! I also really love the style of voiceover, the choice of villagers and the jobs you gave them. Are they all black and white? And lastly as an environmental-planner, i have to mention you are very good at spreading greenery through the island, even tho its so „city-esque“. Very good for the micro-climate on the island! 👌 Since the villager-houses are very small, i think i would do either a small set of a room, like the living-room in „friends“ or a makeup and costume room, or just random decor for the stage-design that’s not needed atm 🤔

Hmm, good question about the villagers! It wasn’t really intended, but I felt like they all got the vibe so nicely! I think if I get specific villagers for sets in the future, I might get some more colorful ones! 🥰

You can plant a fruit sapling (anything but coconut) in one of the surrounding 8 tiles! 😊

how did you change the villager house exterior? is it the DLC?
Yes, that’s the DLC! You need to decorate 30 villager houses and the official buildings and then you get the ability to change the exterior and interior of your own villagers! 😊
