I will never stop promoting 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. When it came out on the PS4, people didn't really take much notice of it. So I'm so thankful for the Switch port as the game felt at home in the console! Thank you for adding it to the list! Cheers from the Philippines!
Wow, you guys are making want to get 13 Sentinels. It looks like a lovely game. Especially cause Vanillaware made it and I loved Odin Sphere and Muramasa. When it goes on special, I’ll be sure to get it
@@rodolfogarcia5397 if you like story-focused games, you're going to love this. Played it late last year and loved every second of it, my second favourite game of all time after Persona 5
@@Hissey1987 Persona 5 was great. Though I was upset that I played it and then Royale came after. Vanillaware has always been a favorite of mine. Can’t go wrong with Odin Sphere and muramasa. I just saw that 13 Sentinels is on special, I’m getting it this weekend.
Astral Chain is probably one of the top 5 Switch games. This is a game that action fans will love with it's slick and quick combat system, it's ridiculous story, and it's surprisingly fun and creative take on stealth levels which there are only 2 of I believe in the main story.
@@DarioKalen_Kagenui Same. Personally I think that Breath of the Wild and Astrak Chain are the only two games that do Stealth Missions right that aren't 100% stealth games.
Someone needs to make that meme of the girl yelling into her boyfriends ear as he looks uninterested, but just make it you going off about dusk diver 🤣
for those who want something more relaxed/“casual”: rune factory 4 special is a jrpg/farming sim hybrid that does both genres extremely well. it’s usually called the best rune factory game for a reason! it has a really in depth crafting system and while the farming system definitely is not up to standards with more modern farming system like stardew valley, it makes up for it for its really fun combat and other features. it has 3 story arcs, which are pretty good plot wise (get ready for power of friendship galore lol) but what really is great are the characters. there is SO much dialogue and events between the characters that you really feel apart of the town. all the characters are really lovable and just are so much fun to talk to and see about going their lives. i’ve been really enjoying it and recommend it to anyone who wants something chill but also still very engaging and fun!!
@@hbtgdanik7790 rune factory is a spin off of harvest moon, which stardew was directly inspired by, so i found it very easy to pick up on the farming even though i only had played stardew before too! there’s quite a few bigggg differences though. for example, you are limited to a 6x3 field to plant things when you just start out, it’s not like stardew where you can grow crops anywhere you till soil on. you unlock more the later you go on, but you can’t go crazy on crops like in stardew. crops can be grown in any season but have specific seasons they are good and bad in. that usually affects how much you get per harvest. there’s also typhoons/snowstorms which will just wreck your fields if you don’t prepare. the game has an in game tutorial on how to deal with them, though. soil quality is something in the game and you need to make sure you’re providing nutrients to the soil or crops will grow more slowly. there is also no real processing of crops (like making jams, pickles, wine, etc) and animal produce, really all you can do is cooking. finally, crops and their respective harvests have levels that you can raise by using your sycthe on a fully grown crop to sacrifice your harvest for a higher level seed. also you can make all crops giant which is fun. those are the most MAJOR differences. animal raising is replaced with monster raising but works pretty similarly, but you have to tame monsters instead of buying them. the game explains how to do that pretty well. combat is very similar to stardew’s mines and skull caverns, but there’s a lot more different areas to explore, so if you liked those parts of stardew, you will really like the combat of rune factory because it’s very similar, just more fleshed out! you can even go adventuring with the villagers and your tamed monsters. it’s very fun you also have a crap ton of skills which is how you raise your stats like RP (which is this game’s version of energy). no things like stardrops. basically anything you do in this game is a skill lol. even sleeping is one xD. crafting is a lot more important to do (basically required) and is complex but is easy to learn once you understand how upgrading works. social systems are very much the same. you can talk to a villager once everyday to increase their friendship points/love points if they’re single. sadly though there’s no same sex marriage, but there is a mod for it if you get it on steam. you can also gift them everyday to raise their friendship, and they have likes, favorites, dislikes, all that jazz. very much like stardew. there’s a lot more festivals in this game than stardew but they don’t take all day unlike stardew. also there’s no big “goal” like the community center to work towards. instead you have the main storyline to work through. it’s different, but very easy to pick up if you have played stardew :). maybe check out a review or episode one of a let’s play to see if it looks interesting, but i covered the most major major differences. hope that helped you! :D
@@hbtgdanik7790 i’ve only played 4, can give you much advice xD. any game from 3 and beyond is good, but 4 and 5 are probably the best places to start. with 5 that is the newest one (only came out this year!) and from what i’ve heard pretty similar. 4 is from 2013, the special version is a remastering. it used to be on the 3ds so the graphics aren’t up to par. rune factory 5 does have as an easter egg characters from rune factory 4, but there’s no real spoilers from seeing them! i only suggest rune factory 4 because it’s the one i’ve played and is a fan favorite.
I love the grind in ffxii. The reason why is that it didn’t feel like a grind to me at all. I was just out finding weapons, unlocking license boards, and hunting marks. It was fun lol.
@@PhucTran-wb4sv Totally agree! The gameplay is good but I just couldn't finish it back when it was first released because if felt like such a snore fest. I'm a bit older now and will probably give it another go since I tend to be a lot more patient these days.
@@Old_Man_Jay The only problem with this version is that you actually have some sort of class system. I have the original ps2 version (i have the game 3 times lol, on ps2, ps4 and switch), and you had complete freedom in the license board, with a few differences that was tied to the characters. I really miss that freedom in the zodiac age version. I liked that you could have everyone use the best healing spells or the best magic spells. But still the game is really great.
it makes me happy when a list comes out like this and I have most of them. The ones I don't I already wanted. A couple I started and haven't gone back to, but plan to.
Omori should be on the list too :) Whimsical, dark and emotionally affecting. Simple classic JRPG mechanics with some light twists on the formula. Mystery layers peeled back as you play through, beautiful art and engaging characters.
FFXII is my personal favorite FF game, with second being tied between VII & IX. It was the first FF game I played on PS2 and I have so much nostalgia for it, I also bought it for Switch! Definitely a must have!
Same with me. It was my first Final Fantasy games I played on PS2 and it was so much fun. I've spent like 200+ hours in game collecting and finishing the game completely.
For an amazing indie RPG, Bug Fables is a must-play, greatly influenced by early Paper Mario games, it's so fun! Also, CrossCode is awesome, such great world building, combat and level-up system.
I second that Bug Fables is great. Gave it a shot based on someone's recommendation, and haven't been as happy with an under $25 game purchase since maybe Hollow Knight.
Thirded. Seems like there's a rush of copycat devs but holy shit did bug fables basically outdo 'classic' paper mario mechanics at their own game. Sadly outbound ghost, a similar title by a different dev, drop the ball there, but bug fables, probably in my top 10-15 indie games easily.
This is one of the better "must play JPRG" lists I've seen. Very thorough. A little bit for everyone. Every title on this list belongs here and there aren't any significant misses. There is no doubt, 13 Sentinels belongs on this list, 1,000%. Extra credit for including Zelda BotW; I am in the "Zelda games are JRPG's" camp ;) Good job!
Now here's someone who isn't afraid in promoting hidden gem titles, and btw, I love how much praise you gave Astral Chain, it's so hard to find something just as cool and aesthetic
I strongly recommend these two dungeon crawlers: Undernauts The Labyrinth of Yomi and Saviors of Sapphire Wings Stranger Sword City. If you miss Etrian Odyssey on the Switch these two are a must.
If you're a fan of Experience's work, the Demon Gaze port on the Switch is also worth picking up. MonYuu by the same developers was not quite as good as their other work, feels a bit like a toned down Yomi, but it's a solid game on it's own merits and still fits into the overall Students of the Round lore nearly all of their games tie into.
Luckily a lot of these games are also on other platforms. I have Ys, FF12: ZA, DQ11 on switch (FF12 and DQ11 also on Switch). Some games, like the Tales series, Atelier series are also on other platforms like PS, Xbox and pc.
Some awesome choices, great video! Just a piece of advice for people who want to play both SMT 3 and 5, play 3 first because going back from 5 highlights all of the shortcomings of what is an almost 20 year old game - it'll feel like much more of a slog vs the sublime experience of 5
I played SMT nocturne first and I dropped it because the random encounter system in it is really annoying. I don’t have many gripes with the battles themselves, but the random encounters pretty much ruin it with how you can’t take 20 steps without getting one. SMT V is much better in that regard and the battle system is also way better so I’ll say it’s probably best to play in that order. If you play V and then nocturne you’ll be sorely disappointed.
Oh man you explained my Dark Souls experience. I was also tired of the internet and my friends non stop talking and exaggerating about Dark Souls difficulty until I actually tried it myself. In any mean it's impossible. I was spoiled a lot of things, areas, boss and story details (as if those matter tho!) and still this game left an impact on me, one big enough to have me buying it twice so I could play it on my switch! A must have indeed
Dark souls seem to favorite only certain classes. I swear in Dark Souls 2 (PC) I did a mage, though could have been hard to play, ended up to kill everything around like a hot knife through butter...
I first played dark souls in Switch too. I was just done with botw and left wanting for more botw-esque experience. Tried a few different games but I quickly left them on the shelf. Then came dark souls and it captivated me ever since.
I will say as a heads-up about Trials of Mana, if you want the most out of your play through (the story in particular) you have to pick certain character combinations. Namely the first 2. The 3rd doesn't matter. Like Duran/ Angela, Charlotte/Kevin, and Hawkeye/Riesz. The order doesn't matter it just determines who you play as first but you have to pick those combinations as your first 2 to get the extra story interaction. Pick whoever you want to round out your party as your 3rd.
I agree with most of your recommendations. Just missing Valkyrie Chronicles 4. Not sure if you are into visual novels. A similar list of VNs for the Switch would be awesome.
Dragon quest 11, definitely one of the best jrpgs of the dacade. It brought me back to loving jrpgs since... I don't know, Golden Sun from GBA. Highly recommend
People should not sleep on this game. It was practically platinum's first exclusive for the switch and we're being at a three around the corner. It's starting to become an uncommon title to find..
Xenoblade X needs to come to Switch! There was one quest early on that almost ruined the game for me, but once I figured out what to do it was an absolute blast. I love the characters are super fun and quirky and the mech combat is badass. I loved just cruising around the world in the mech suit with the jet pack or in car mode. The transformation animation in and out of car mode never got old!
It's not going to. Switch is basically the same power as the wii u, in tablet form. XCX BARELY worked on the wii u, and they used programming tricks specific to the wii u to get it to work. Maybe a switch 2 would be strong enough to try porting it, but without essentially remaking the game for the switch, it's not gonna happen.
Ok, I know it’s a western RPG, but Star Wars KOTOR is an amazing classic with top notch voice acting, dialogue, and presentation of Star Wars while having fresh characters. And yeah, the big reveal is one of those moments in gaming stories that needs to be experienced without spoiling. But it pays off so well.
The recent remake of Live a Live is a must-have. While not QUITE as good as the original, Bravely Default 2 is also a top-tier RPG. For dungeon RPGs you can't go wrong with anything by Experience; on the Switch that'd be the Yomi wo Saku Hana and MonYuu, as well as the Demon Gaze port (I've heard the compilation of Aoki Tsubasa no Chevalier and Tsurugi no Machi no Ihoujin got a foreign release, so hopefully that comes out as well.) NIS also tried their hand at dungeon RPGs with Refrain no Chika Meikyuu to Majo no Ryoudan and that was an absolute blast which got a sequel on the Vita that will be getting a Switch port soon IIRC. If we're going to include strategy RPGs, you absolutely must pick up the Super Robot Wars titles; on the Switch that'd be V, X, T, and 30. Triangle Strategy is likewise a must, and Langrisser 1 and 2's remake is also a no-brainer. On the slow-life front, the Rune Factory titles are stellar action RPGs, we currently have 4 and 5 on Switch and the other day's Nintendo Direct just announced a remake of 3 as well as a new title in the works. For those looking for a more creative tinge to their RPGs, the Dragon Quest Builders games are excellent (basically, imagine if Minecraft hadn't just stayed as a proof of concept forever and actually got made into a proper game and that's basically what you've got.) As an add-on, RPG fans would gain a lot from the Switch Online port collections, especially the Super Famicom one which has been blessed with all three of the platform's Megami Tensei titles (1, 2, and If...), Fire Emblems 3 and 4, Breath of Fire 1 and 2, Mother 2, and Bokujou Monogatari.
I really agree with how to approach 13 sentinels! I played it for roughly 40 minutes each night and loved it! Definitely a visual novel with srpg elements and not the other way around but so cool. I couldn’t get into octopath :(. I’m not a fan of stagger mechanics, but what really killed it was how the entire narrative for all characters was solely fetch quests. Beautiful game none the less. Thanks for the suggestions, I wrote down Dusk Diver in my “games to check out” list!
Absolutely fantastic list! It was almost a complete play by play of games I've either played, am playing now, or in my queue. The only thing I can think to add to it would be Ni No Kuni. That was an excellent story played out with Studio Ghibli's work.
I'd definitely recommend the Disgaea series as well. It's a strategy RPG with unique and quirky mechanics that I've not seen anywhere else, a colourful cast of characters that are fun to interact with, and an over-the-top kind of humour that often made me laugh. I'd consider Disgaea 5 first if you've not played any of them (or Disgaea 1 if you want fewer systems you need to learn), or just about any version except for 6 whose performance isn't very optimal on the switch. Btw, what game is it at 24:03 with the blue haired character? It doesn't seem like one from the list, maybe Astral Chain but I'm not too sure
Yeah, 5's a really excellent title that smoothed out the early 'cheap niche strategy rpg unlike other strategy rpgs' issues to really shine. And then disgaea six was like a early beta project that might've been better as a mobile game, but hey, disgaea 7's around the corner without it's fuck ups and bringing what it got right at least.
I have everything on the list, lol (not always on Switch though). Incredible list. Nier Automata is coming to Switch in a month. This game is unlike anything else, it simply MUST be experienced and is considered by some to be one of the best RPGs of all time. I played it on PS4 and again on Xbox One. I'm very happy that Switch owners get a chance to play it, I hope it runs well.
JRPGs have become a Top 3 genre for me over the past few years, and I’m all for it (I almost was gonna complete omit the genre form my interest years back, but that’s a story for another day). I freakin’ loved TMS - easily in my Top 10 Switch games. From coming off of just beating FE: Awakening, I loved all the FE references. The overall battle mechanics too, especially having everyone input an attack into the chain (even if they’re benched) was so addictive to just watch the combo rise 😅.
I'm such a massive fan for rpgs and jrpgs. I'm also stoked another TMS fan is watching the channel! It feels so rare to find another person who enjoyed it. I love it so much!
Switch has some underrated gems on the system for RPG fans.. -Mary Skelter 2 (it includes a remaster of the 1st game.) think it’s about 40USD/regional equivalent. -Labyrinth of Refrain Coven of dusk. -Fuga Melodie’s of steel. -Kawloon high school chronicles. -Shiren the wanderer. -Daemon X Machina -Death end;request -Dragon Star Vanir -Fairy Fencer F -No More Heroes 1+2 & 3
@@HallowedBeThyGameAnd that’s only scratching the surface lol. Super robot wars X,T & Z are also quality Tactical RPG’s to pick up on switch. Hope to see more people bring up Daemon X Machina. It is such a underrated classic. The OST is a banger and the gameplay is genuinely good. I am so looking forward to the sequel that the devs announced earlier this year during the anniversary stream of DXM.
There are some excellent RPGs on this list and I enthusiastically agree with the recommendations of SMT V, Nocturne, Ys VIII, Ys IX, Octopath Traveler, and Dark Souls. Nocturne is one of my absolute favorite games of all time and while it is difficult enough to probably scare off a lot of players, I would encourage them to stick with it and discover the ins and outs of combat because the game is very satisfying once you learn how to play it. I also agree that SMT V has the best combat in an RPG, it is the best manifestation of the press turn battle system, which is by far my favorite type of battle system.
I'm happy to have another die hard SMT fan show some support. It's so hard to explain to people just how pristine and finely tuned that combat system is and how it exceeds any hopes and expectations I could've had for the combat systems future. And Nocturne is still a game that is so incredible that I can pick it up and play it at anytime and still have a blast with it. Truly timeless and well worth committing to!
Nice to see some love for Tokyo Mirage Session 🥰. I've played it on playstation but I have to add Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 to your list. Two solid and epic RPGs with a different twist.
Great video as always. Couldn't agree more with what you've said about Astral Chain, FE3H, XenoChronicles, DragonQuest XI and Zelda BotW. I don't have much more to add to what you said. XC2 is probably my favourite and best game ever (1 is also up there and I can't wait to play 3). FE3H is absolutely amazing (one of my favourites as well) not only in strategy and story but also in the characters and how you can interact with them in the monastery. Zelda BotW is just peak videogame, and an amazing experience. As you said I also grew tired of open world games but this one is just different. DQXI is a more normal/classic game but it's just does everything so good. 💯 And finally Astral Chain. Out of all these, I think it's the less amazing (but that's because I give all the others a 10 and the first 3 are among my best and favourite games, so it's a bit of an unfair comparison lol), but it's still an amazing solid game and tbh it's such a different and fresh game and one of the best videogame experiences I've had in recent times, super enjoyable. All of these have over the top OST too, which is crazy, among the best I've ever heard. XC2 has my favourite though. Also, I LOVE God-Shattering Star. 😩💯🎵
Thanks so much for sharing! XC2 is just that friggin good and I love them all so much. So happy you liked it and yeah the soundtracks are some of the best out there.
I beat Dusk Diver on a business trip earlier this year. I wouldn’t have known about this game had it not been your dedication as unofficial ambassador. Thanks for bringing this one to my attention.
FF12 is in my backlog. I bought it because Ivalice. Tactics is one of my favorite games of all time, let alone ff games. Even if I'm not a fan of some of the newer games in the series.
I'd also recommend I am setsuna and lost sphear if you're into old school rpgs. Also cthulu saves Christmas and cosmic star heroine if you want something bite sized.
When you mentioned 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim, I knew you know your stuff. Most of the other games mentioned here were expected to be mentioned, but 13 Sentinels is truly a game you'd punt int the effort to find if you really are into story-driven games. This game is already among my greatest masterpieces of all time.
13 Sentinels is not an RPG and should not be on the list. But I'm glad as hell that it is. I feel like people who enjoy JRPGs with strong plots will likely enjoy 13 Sentinels. I will say, I was being a bit facetious when I said it's not an RPG - I still wouldn't call it an RPG, but it does have RPG elements.
Thank you for this video. Lately, I’ve lost interest in jrpgs and gaming in general. Your content had so much honesty that I just felt it throughout then video. Thanks for sparking my interest back into gaming.
Astral Chain! Easily in my top 10 Switch games of all-time! Shame it didn’t sell well, because damn it’s an amazing game from start to finish. Dark Souls Remastered is pretty awesome, and the Switch version is the one I completed. Trials of Mana is one I have and really need to put the time in for, as I loved what I played so far. A terrific list overall, from the most passionate RPG fan I know. You hear how much these games stood out for you in each segment discussed here. 👍 Excellent video as always man!
Man there are some excellent choices here. I actually own all of these, but a few I don't have on the Switch. Any RPG lover who hasn't at least tried 13 Sentinels is doing themselves a disservice. I think Bravely Default 2 deserves a spot on one of these lists. Although it did lose a few (mostly QoL) elements in the transition from 3DS to Switch, I think it does a good job at bringing the gameplay elements of the series forward.
That's awesome! Thanks for putting Bravely Default 2 here, it definitely deserves a spot on these lits. And I couldn't agree more about 13 Sentinels. I really believe it to be a must play for anyone who loves rpgs.
@@fireraign77 Yeah. GrimGrimoire was just announced recently. Tactics Ogre has been an open secret for a while, but Square announced it and gave it a release I think a month ago now.
I love that each one on the list was 1 or 2 games from the series if the series has multiple entries and for Xenoblade it was just basically "Play the whole damn thing. It's that good." And I couldn't agree more.
You should 100% should give Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 a shot if you haven’t. I think they’d find a happy place on your list. Best part is 1 and 2 are a contained story and 3 and 4 are a separate contained story which means you don’t really need to play the first two games and can jump right in at 3.
I’m so glad I found your channel. You have almost the exact same taste as me and I’m finding out about great games thanks to your great videos. Hope your channel keeps growing you seem like such a cool dood!
Ooooo! Some you didn’t mention that would be must own for me are: Grandia HD Triangle Strategy Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Various Pokémon titles like Brilliant Diamond/Pearl and Let’s Go Great video as always! Stoked for more of these!!! Bring it!!!
To be clear, the Pokemon games beyond Legends Arceus definitely should be nowhere on a list like this. The only list they deserve to be on is "Worst Video Games of All Time".
I had ff 12 on ps2 I think it was one of the best final fantasies. With balthier and Fran it had a beautiful ending too. I think I’m going to get it again after I beat xeno 3.
Tales of Vesperia has one of my favorite story in a RPG. I played it back on my xbox360, bought this game randomly and I am so glad I did. I bought it again on switch but I didn't have the time to play it yet. Any JRPG fan should give it a try. The beginning of the game is a bit boring but once you pass that it is really good.
I don't remember who commented it before and on whose video it was but I've once read a comment that described the first Xenoblade Chronicles the best: "It's a game that shows emotions that you didn't know you had" I can't disagree with that as it inspired me to write stories of my own.
Probably mentioned somewhere but Trails of Steel ports works perfectly on the switch and is one of those games that would fit very well on this list. You can play all 1 through 4 with the exception being 1 and 2 are currently JP only, however an English patch by Masagrator is available using the official translation and it works great.
Oh man! Octopath Traveler, absolutely! The only issue I had was that the character’s stories were so separated and didn’t flow together with the other characters. Not a deal breaker but would have liked to see their stories intertwine. Astral chain is one I need to jump into! Heard such good things!! OMG!! Slowly adding the Fire emblem games. Cannot wait to get to them! So Xenoblade. Funny enough, the only Xenoblade I’ve ever played was Chronicles X. DragonQuest 11 probably one of the best JRPGs ever created and those are huge shoes to fill! Dusk Diver! Yesss! So much yes!! Knew this had to be on this list! Cannot agree with you more! Ys 8! Dude I’m just gonna go ahead and say yes to this whole video! Just an incredible list!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Stay awesome brother! 🤘🙏❤️
I’m so happy another Dusk Diver fan is at my side for this list haha. So friggin ecstatic you enjoyed it man. Thanks for all the support and I can’t wait to keep chatting about games together my brother!
This is a great list of games.. The nintendo switch is my favorite system all time . So happy that the Persona series is finally being ported to the Switch. Also Battle Chasers Nightwar is a MUST PLAY.
First time watching ur video and enjoyed how u share opinion on some games i never considered to try out, plz keep showing us more games that’s underrated
C'mon man, my shmups may be tough, but there are two distinct kinds that people have slowly forgotten are actually different. The kind that you referred to is probably the Bullet Hell subgenre, and yeah it's usually wicked hard. There are a few shoot-'em-ups and two Bullet Hell games that I can recommend as entry gate games, and I'll list them in order of difficulty. They're all tough but accessible, and what changed me from casually interested to a shmup fan for life. Shoot-'Em-up entry gate games 1) Axelay for SNES. This game proved that Konami had it in them to release an amazing shmup that wasn't Gradius or Darius hard. You slowly regain your stolen weapons as you fight for the Earth's last few denizens with the only ship able to fight back, the Axelay. Each stage alternates between vertical and horizontal gameplay, and you get up to four hits before you lose your ship. Explosives, missiles and squish are the only things that will kill you instantly. My most recommended newcomer game, barring the third entry. 2) Star Soldier for N64. This game pushes the borderline a little between shmup and bullet hell, but it leans a lot more towards the former, and is the only shmup on N64 (Whaaat!) You have three different ships that make the game play very differently, with alternate paths available and no super-secret ending like a game if its scope usually has. 3) U.N. Squadron for the SNES. This is the game that made me both a shmup maniac and a gamer for life. Don't let anybody else tell you otherwise, but this game is the definitive entry gate as it has a bit of everything, with a banging soundtrack and an Easy mode that doesn't penalize you in any way. You have three pilots that all play differently: Shin who has the weakest defense but maxes out his level quickly, Mickey who picks up extra hidden weapon ammo and has medium HP and cooldown, and my guy Greg, who is an absolute tank with the best MOE but levels up the slowest. You can buy different planes that all play in unique ways. The baffling difficulty spike of the game is the cavern, and I won't spoil the clever way to win. This is the game that made me the shmup maniac I am today, and is an entry gate game that borderline isn't such as it's hard no doubt, but very doable; no kiddie gloves but encourages growth as a player and makes it easy to know where you screwed up. Way ahead of it's time and one of the fine wines of the SNES! Do try the Gamer mode when you beat Normal or Hard! Two Bullet Hell entry gate games: 1) If you can access it, Frantic 3 for Adobe Flash. It's a slow burn arcade roguelite with lot of customizability and the Easy (or is it Normal?) mode is like a destruction fever. It gently opened my at-the-time noobie eyes to the Bullet Hell genre! 2) Touhou Azure Reflections for various platforms, mine was on Switch. It's tough, but it's difficulty does not compare to it's source material. It's also a horizontal Bullet Hell, making it easier to stomach. It's got a hit system similar to U.N. Squadron, minus semipermanent health penalty. Get hit twice in quick succession, and you lose a life. Get good, sorta, and don't use a continue during boss fights, and you get to fight the final boss. Beat said and you unlock the next of three characters, whom all play differently. Challenge wise, this is the most realistic entry gate for the bullet hell genre. No kiddie gloves, but still gives you room to grow. Beat it on Easy without continuing before ramping up the difficulty. That's what I did and it made me a better bullet hell player! Honorable mentions for both: Darius Twin and Toon Shooter 2 for shmups, and G-Darius for Bullet Hell. I hope these games clear up some of the confusion, and I hope that you enjoy these tough but fun games as much as I have over the years. Edit: You've earned a subscription with your amazing list. Long live old school RPGs, and I hope you've played Cosmic Star Heroine on Switch.
As someone who has played JRPGs since I was a kiddo back in the nineties...Dragon Quest 11 (w/ orchestral music) it's the best one I've every played. It stays super true to the original magic of why JRPGs worked as a genre as far as style, combat and so on. Whether it's Golden Sun, early Final Fantasy games (including the early, early spinoffs), early Dragonquest games and so on...this is the BIG GRANDADDY of it all, it's just so damn well done. Beautiful, beautiful game. I actually cried during the story haha
Awesome list! Tbh, I just played Monstrum Nox and really enjoyed it so far. That was my first entry to the Ys series. Imma have to keep an eye for these games you mentioned.
Valkyria Chronicles need to be on here! Turn based shooter where you choose between tanks mortars rifles machine guns and snipers and you yourself move the units around and you physically aim and shoot. Each level has cover and multiple routes, you have action points you can spend to do special moves or run farther and shoot with more accuracy, its like advanced wars but 3D and you control everything
Surprised Triangle Strategy wasn't on here.I haven't played any Switch games but since Octopath was on here I was expecting Triangle and Bravely Default 2.
I‘d highly recommend the Legend of Heroes Trails of cold steel series. It‘s a shame the first two aren‘t on switch (yet) but 3 and 4 are really strong. Also Trails from Zero is coming soon😁
I stopped playing at 4 but I have to play it all over because I’m too far to just pick up where I last saved. I know I’m close to the end of it but it’s definitely a good school series game with a big ass twist in the end with the ending of each game it’s a big plot twist you never see coming a real emotional rollercoaster series
you need to play the whole series. There is no point in only playing the cold series. Cold steel 4 is the culmination of the whole series up to this point. Thats like saying you start with Lord of the Rings 3 when you have to watch the other 2 films first. And its stupid that the other games arent on the system and Falcom and Nisa are too slow and stubborn to localize the games and banning fan translation when these are on the same level and faster than the officials
I got a Switch a while ago to play Breath of the Wild, but I've been neglecting it ever since. Definitely appreciate this video and following your channel for more RPG content for the Switch. I'd never realized how many RPGs were being made for it. I have a lot of catching up to do.
The only regret I have for Astral chain is that I didn't got to support it by buying at launch. The world setting, gameplay and soundtracks are fantastic. It's not an excessively long game but it's worth it.
A great list! I'd agree, these are some of the best heavy hitters in the Switch's JRPG space. Actually, seeing all these titles, one after the other, really shows how marvelous of a system the Switch is for RPGs. And with new games and some upcoming remakes/remasters coming to the console in the coming months (I'm looking at you, Front Mission, Tactics Ogre, and Suikoden), the little Nintendo console might end up being the single best place to place JRPGs.
Yeah, but the story kinda feels rushed at the end and the aesthetics are a marked downgrade even though 9's graphics are technically better. That said, Ys 9 is still a great game.
Definitely get Three Houses/Hopes if you don't have it, it was practically the final roll of Billy Kametz who voiced Ferdinand He sadly passed away this year. Also. He voiced in 13 sentinels and Persona 5 royal
The only RPG’s I’ve played before are Breath of the Wild and Paper Mario. But then I was into the Witcher from Netflix and decided to check out the game. Oh boy, I’ve never spent so many hours on a game. Absolutely loved it. I think by the way this list went, you might like that game too! 😊
you should check out Mario RPG: the legend of the seven stars It was the "Inspiration" for paper mario or if said realistically Paper mario was the Bender hissy fit of Nintendo when Square wasn't interested in making Mario RPG 2. Nintendo: "I'll make my own Mario RPG! with blackjack and hookers!" Ironically Mario RPG had both as well as references to drugs, alcohol, horse racing and female underwear... and paper mario is like a washed out version in all aspects including combat.
Awesome video glad this popped up on my feed. Even as a long time rpg/jrpg fan there was a couple games on this list I hadn’t heard of and look pretty interesting 👀
I've play the Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne for the PS2 to know it's a good game and it was surprising to find they had voice acting for the Switch but what i like to get is the SMT5 when when i can :3 Kinda wish they made both Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 available for the switch as well but one can only hope for the future for the time being :3
This list makes me happy I missed out on all these games because it means I have a huge library to play and enjoy now (never heard of SMT 3 nocturne until P5R came out and I loved every minute of it when I picked it up).

Some incredible must owns listed here and some I need to get to as well. Thanks for sharing! And off the top of my head the one that immediately comes to mind are some Hares of Inaba that kicked my hind end in Soul Hackers 2 lol. Great question! What about you?
@@HallowedBeThyGame Disco Elysium and Ori are just phenomenal games 😃💖 Best of the best! Aha! Soul Hackers 2 mooks...Hares of Inaba! Good choice. Mine are the 'Hasta' varieties of mooks....specially 'Hasta Perfectus' from Lost Dimension. Very mobile, durable, have further range of attack than most and can afflict your team members with status effects. They're at their most formidable when in a team 😅
Excellent list! I've played a Lot of these games, and The rest are on My backlog, not even a single exception, but a big part of them I played or plan to play on PC
I fully support giving attention to 13 Sentinels out of anything on this list. That game is honestly an unique experience. Honestly if there is a video game that perfectly shows the unique way that games can tell a story it is this one. I honestly don't think you could tell this story in any other entertainment medium and have it work as well. Though I love Trials of Mana (a truly respectful remake), DQ11 was great (very fun and classic franchise), and honestly I'm really happy for people that Persona games will be coming to the Switch soon. So many good stories there.
I'm very surprised and disappointed he didn't mention it, but for anyone wanting to play 13 Sentinels there is an important change for the West: Censorship; One of the Characters was written to be shown as Non-Binary in the West, which is False and EXTREMELY INSULTING; The Character is simply a wholesome and lovely Cross-Dresser, but other than REQUIRING to know this before playing the Censored Version, 13 Sentinels is by far one of the most unique and beautiful Gamess made in recent memory, and you should try it out IF you like the Art Style

@@fireraign77 Haha why didn't I think of this, you're a marketing genius!
bruh who the heck has time to play 23 JRPGs. You're nuts.
If any of the FFXIII games came out on switch I would buy them immediately
@@mythsandlegends77 glad you found the channel and thanks for letting me know!
I will never stop promoting 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. When it came out on the PS4, people didn't really take much notice of it. So I'm so thankful for the Switch port as the game felt at home in the console! Thank you for adding it to the list! Cheers from the Philippines!
Well said! And thanks a ton for sharing!
I discovered that game through Bittersweet gamers channel play through
Astral Chain is probably one of the top 5 Switch games. This is a game that action fans will love with it's slick and quick combat system, it's ridiculous story, and it's surprisingly fun and creative take on stealth levels which there are only 2 of I believe in the main story.
Haha it really is, it's so much absurd anime fun and I can't get enough of it
I loved the stealth missions.
@@DarioKalen_Kagenui Same. Personally I think that Breath of the Wild and Astrak Chain are the only two games that do Stealth Missions right that aren't 100% stealth games.

If Bayonetta 3 is successful, then Platinum will be able to make Astral Chain II
Someone needs to make that meme of the girl yelling into her boyfriends ear as he looks uninterested, but just make it you going off about dusk diver 🤣
Haha this is accurate
Honestly I wanna know more about it. Where can i learn more, and also how much is it?
@@Teachermook it can go on sale for 13$ and I’ve reviewed the 2nd one on the channel if that helps give you more info.
I just bought Dusk Diver really Great Game 🎮🎯
I don’t have enough words for how much I adore FE Three Houses. Easily one of my favorite games I’ve ever played
@jasonvoorhees5640 nah, Bee Simulator is better.
for those who want something more relaxed/“casual”: rune factory 4 special is a jrpg/farming sim hybrid that does both genres extremely well. it’s usually called the best rune factory game for a reason!
it has a really in depth crafting system and while the farming system definitely is not up to standards with more modern farming system like stardew valley, it makes up for it for its really fun combat and other features.
it has 3 story arcs, which are pretty good plot wise (get ready for power of friendship galore lol) but what really is great are the characters. there is SO much dialogue and events between the characters that you really feel apart of the town. all the characters are really lovable and just are so much fun to talk to and see about going their lives.
i’ve been really enjoying it and recommend it to anyone who wants something chill but also still very engaging and fun!!
I’ve only ever played Stardew, are they largely similar?
@@hbtgdanik7790 rune factory is a spin off of harvest moon, which stardew was directly inspired by, so i found it very easy to pick up on the farming even though i only had played stardew before too! there’s quite a few bigggg differences though. for example, you are limited to a 6x3 field to plant things when you just start out, it’s not like stardew where you can grow crops anywhere you till soil on. you unlock more the later you go on, but you can’t go crazy on crops like in stardew. crops can be grown in any season but have specific seasons they are good and bad in. that usually affects how much you get per harvest. there’s also typhoons/snowstorms which will just wreck your fields if you don’t prepare. the game has an in game tutorial on how to deal with them, though. soil quality is something in the game and you need to make sure you’re providing nutrients to the soil or crops will grow more slowly. there is also no real processing of crops (like making jams, pickles, wine, etc) and animal produce, really all you can do is cooking. finally, crops and their respective harvests have levels that you can raise by using your sycthe on a fully grown crop to sacrifice your harvest for a higher level seed. also you can make all crops giant which is fun.
those are the most MAJOR differences. animal raising is replaced with monster raising but works pretty similarly, but you have to tame monsters instead of buying them. the game explains how to do that pretty well. combat is very similar to stardew’s mines and skull caverns, but there’s a lot more different areas to explore, so if you liked those parts of stardew, you will really like the combat of rune factory because it’s very similar, just more fleshed out! you can even go adventuring with the villagers and your tamed monsters. it’s very fun
you also have a crap ton of skills which is how you raise your stats like RP (which is this game’s version of energy). no things like stardrops. basically anything you do in this game is a skill lol. even sleeping is one xD. crafting is a lot more important to do (basically required) and is complex but is easy to learn once you understand how upgrading works.
social systems are very much the same. you can talk to a villager once everyday to increase their friendship points/love points if they’re single. sadly though there’s no same sex marriage, but there is a mod for it if you get it on steam. you can also gift them everyday to raise their friendship, and they have likes, favorites, dislikes, all that jazz. very much like stardew. there’s a lot more festivals in this game than stardew but they don’t take all day unlike stardew. also there’s no big “goal” like the community center to work towards. instead you have the main storyline to work through.
it’s different, but very easy to pick up if you have played stardew :). maybe check out a review or episode one of a let’s play to see if it looks interesting, but i covered the most major major differences. hope that helped you! :D
@@cealens I was actually not aware the game had that much going on. Which RF would you recommend for a first timer?
Remake of 3 just got announced too, so that's an absolute must.
I love the grind in ffxii. The reason why is that it didn’t feel like a grind to me at all. I was just out finding weapons, unlocking license boards, and hunting marks. It was fun lol.
One of the best FFs in term of gameplay.
The story, however, leaves much to be desired
I love FFXII! OMG, I could gush for hours.
@@RLHvanDijk Completely agree. I especially didn't like how I didn't even know what most of the classes did before I agreed to use them.
Dragon Quest is actually my ALL-TIME FAVORITE JRPG series.
And 11 is absolutely the PINNACLE of the series.
I see you too are a gamer of culture.
You make the games sounds so good with your words 10/10 narrating
it makes me happy when a list comes out like this and I have most of them. The ones I don't I already wanted. A couple I started and haven't gone back to, but plan to.
Haha that is a good feeling!
It makes me happier to realize I have so many games yet to play lol.
Omori should be on the list too :)
Whimsical, dark and emotionally affecting.
Happy a FFXII fan is watching! An incredible game!
Extra credit for including Zelda BotW; I am in the "Zelda games are JRPG's" camp ;)
Good job!
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed!
I been dabbling with yomi but not deep into it but it seems cool so far
I have got to pick up Undernauts and Stranger of Sword City. I know I would love these and I gotta jump in. Thanks for sharing!
I recently started Undernauts and I'm having a blast. This is definitely my kind of dungeon crawler.
I don't own a Nintendo Switch, but some of these picks look fantastic! I would also throw in Chrono Cross for a must own as well!
Had an absolute blast with Chrono Cross on switch and thanks for shouting it out here. Amazing game!
@@HallowedBeThyGame Not a problem! Great video as well!
Just a piece of advice for people who want to play both SMT 3 and 5, play 3 first because going back from 5 highlights all of the shortcomings of what is an almost 20 year old game - it'll feel like much more of a slog vs the sublime experience of 5
Some great advice, thanks for sharing
I have done this way, but then I found V boring and flat.
Great idea and recommendation!
Dragon quest 11, definitely one of the best jrpgs of the dacade. It brought me back to loving jrpgs since... I don't know, Golden Sun from GBA. Highly recommend
That game and Fire Emblem 3 houses was a reason I wanted a switch.
So glad you mention Astral Chain. That game was one of the first games I bought on the Switch and I loved it...
It's so good!
@@HallowedBeThyGame Was looking for a game for next trip away, was originally looking at "Live A Live", but ya sold Dusk Divers to me.

I bought Duskdiver the day after I saw this vid. Loving it. But Nintendo Shop had put it at 80% off after I paid full price.
T_T
People should not sleep on this game. It was practically platinum's first exclusive for the switch and we're being at a three around the corner. It's starting to become an uncommon title to find..
Xenoblade X needs to come to Switch! There was one quest early on that almost ruined the game for me, but once I figured out what to do it was an absolute blast. I love the characters are super fun and quirky and the mech combat is badass. I loved just cruising around the world in the mech suit with the jet pack or in car mode. The transformation animation in and out of car mode never got old!
I love that one too and want a sequel to it.
For those looking for a more creative tinge to their RPGs, the Dragon Quest Builders games are excellent (basically, imagine if Minecraft hadn't just stayed as a proof of concept forever and actually got made into a proper game and that's basically what you've got.)
As an add-on, RPG fans would gain a lot from the Switch Online port collections, especially the Super Famicom one which has been blessed with all three of the platform's Megami Tensei titles (1, 2, and If...), Fire Emblems 3 and 4, Breath of Fire 1 and 2, Mother 2, and Bokujou Monogatari.
A wealth of knowledge and recommendations here! Thanks for sharing!
@@HallowedBeThyGame Anything for fellow game lovers!
I love 13 sentinels so much and I hope you have a blast with Dusk Diver if you give it a go!
Absolutely fantastic list! It was almost a complete play by play of games I've either played, am playing now, or in my queue. The only thing I can think to add to it would be Ni No Kuni. That was an excellent story played out with Studio Ghibli's work.
So happy you enjoyed! And thanks for sharing an incredible recommendation!
Thanks for the recommendation and the game there is SMT V.
So happy you enjoyed the list and I completely agree about NieR! It's gonna be an incredible time for Switch owners when it arrives!
Damn I see you like that Atelier Ryza Battle theme music. Good for you man!

-Daemon X Machina
-Death end;request
-Dragon Star Vanir

@@HallowedBeThyGameAnd that’s only scratching the surface lol.
Super robot wars X,T & Z are also quality Tactical RPG’s to pick up on switch.

Daemon X Machina.
Platinum Games is what Konami was in the 80s and 90s just hit after hit with very few misses when you see the P+ you know it's a quality game.
Nice to see some love for Tokyo Mirage Session 🥰.
I've played it on playstation but I have to add Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 to your list. Two solid and epic RPGs with a different twist.
For sure! Couldn’t agree more.
Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 are 2 must rpg switch games
And finally Astral Chain.
It was a mistake you don't mention the Switch port of The Witcher 3. Such a great game.
On my top 3 😊
SMT V is a must only console you can get it on. Astral chain looks good too.

I’m so psyched you enjoyed it! Thanks for letting me know!
It’s that good!
I agree, are all great games but 13 sentinels is an experience, a must buy.
Why doesn't anyone like Bravely Default 2
Thank you for this video. Lately, I’ve lost interest in jrpgs and gaming in general. Your content had so much honesty that I just felt it throughout then video. Thanks for sparking my interest back into gaming.
Wow thank you so much for your kind words and I'm so happy to help in some way! Hope you have a blast playing any games that caught your eye!
I had many of these in my to-play list, but you're just convincing me even more! 😂💯💪
I’m really glad to be able to help out. Thanks for watching!
Yes! It's a lovely one 😁💖👍I've heard from the grapevine that Tactics Ogre and GrimGrimmoire are getting a redo.
Gosh thank you so much! Made my day and I’m psyched you found the channel too! Have a wonderful week!🤘
Ooooo! Some you didn’t mention that would be must own for me are:
Grandia HD
Triangle Strategy
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Various Pokémon titles like Brilliant Diamond/Pearl and Let’s Go
Great video as always! Stoked for more of these!!! Bring it!!!
I can’t wait to get to Grandia HD, I know I’ll enjoy it and I gotta give the other ones a go too. Thanks a ton for reminding me!
To be clear, the Pokemon games beyond Legends Arceus definitely should be nowhere on a list like this. The only list they deserve to be on is "Worst Video Games of All Time".
i played all days at 13 sentinel... finish in 7 days and craving a lot for more....LOVE IT
It’s that good! Happy you loved it too!
I had ff 12 on ps2 I think it was one of the best final fantasies. With balthier and Fran it had a beautiful ending too. I think I’m going to get it again after I beat xeno 3.
Balthier and Fran are so friggin incredible. Love that game and xeno 3!
That story and cast of characters is gold
I don't remember who commented it before and on whose video it was but I've once read a comment that described the first Xenoblade Chronicles the best:
"It's a game that shows emotions that you didn't know you had"
I can't disagree with that as it inspired me to write stories of my own.
Dang that is so well said, I'm gonna have to steal that lol. But in all honesty it is genuinely that good.
Octopath traveler pulled me in and didn't let go. I loved the stories, the gameplay the visuals omg
Excellent choices, I recommend Eastward, its kinda Zelda like game and the graphics, the soundtrack and story is a must play.
Ohhh thanks for reminding me about Eastward. I gotta play it!
Eastward's soundtrack is 100% dope!😎💖👍
Grandia II HD, Child of Light, The Witcher 3, Chrono Cross, Bravely Default, Trails of Cold Steel.
Probably mentioned somewhere but Trails of Steel ports works perfectly on the switch and is one of those games that would fit very well on this list. You can play all 1 through 4 with the exception being 1 and 2 are currently JP only, however an English patch by Masagrator is available using the official translation and it works great.
Just found your channel yesterday and immediately subscribed, your content is absolutely amazing!
Gosh thank you so much! So happy you found the channel!
It seems like they add more character interactions in the sequel
@@brotbrotsen1100 Yeah upon reading more on it and seeing footage it seems so. That’ll be great to see!
Son, you best be addin’ Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen to that Part 2.
This is a great list of games.. The nintendo switch is my favorite system all time . So happy that the Persona series is finally being ported to the Switch. Also Battle Chasers Nightwar is a MUST PLAY.
Thanks for reminding me about Battle Chasers. Looks right up my alley. Switch is too doggone good haha, hyped for Persona to be coming as well!
First time watching ur video and enjoyed how u share opinion on some games i never considered to try out, plz keep showing us more games that’s underrated
Glad you enjoyed and will do!
Shoot-'Em-up entry gate games
1) Axelay for SNES.
Two Bullet Hell entry gate games:
1) If you can access it, Frantic 3 for Adobe Flash.
Some excellent info here! Thanks for sharing your expertise and I'm looking to try Cosmic Star Heroine, thank you!
@@HallowedBeThyGame You're very welcome!
The dragonquest trilogy 1-3 is a honorable mention! Give it final fantasy 1-6 on the switch!
That story hits hard
Man you deserve more subs
I can see how much time you put into these videos by its quality
Dang thank you so much, glad you enjoyed the video!
@@HallowedBeThyGame you're welcome!
Keep it up with the great work :)
I’d recommend shinning resonance it’s an interesting game but my favorite part is the voice acting and story it’s so well done.
Love that game, fantastic recommendation.
Awesome list! Tbh, I just played Monstrum Nox and really enjoyed it so far. That was my first entry to the Ys series. Imma have to keep an eye for these games you mentioned.
I’m so happy you enjoyed it! I really enjoyed Monstrum Nox and hope you have a blast with the others!
You should definitely check out Dragons Dogma! Great game on the Switch!
Great video! Love a good Dodgeball reference as well ha ha
Haha you're one of the few that caught the reference!
I really hope that new VC would come out in Switch or I just miss that?
Great run down! I hadn’t considered some of these games until watching this. Much appreciated
Glad I could help!
13 Sentinels is inderrateed as hell. Awesome game.
It’s so doggone good
Surprised Triangle Strategy wasn't on here.I haven't played any Switch games but since Octopath was on here I was expecting Triangle and Bravely Default 2.
I‘d highly recommend the Legend of Heroes Trails of cold steel series. It‘s a shame the first two aren‘t on switch (yet) but 3 and 4 are really strong. Also Trails from Zero is coming soon😁
That’s a fantastic recommendation and an incredible series.
The first two are but Japan exclusive currently
I was gonna say the same! Gotta have Cold Steel games in there for sure!
Glad I could help and so happy you enjoyed the video!
The only regret I have for Astral chain is that I didn't got to support it by buying at launch. The world setting, gameplay and soundtracks are fantastic. It's not an excessively long game but it's worth it.
This is how I feel about a few games I’ve fallen mad for. But hey better late then never!
Gosh yeah the Switch is a beast. So hyped for what the next few months have in store for it. Glad you enjoyed the list!
A re balanced front mission is a dream.
I know it’s pretty old, but Okami should be on there too. One of the best and most unique games imo. :)
I do need to play Okami. Thanks for reminding me!
I love that game it's true a gem
Great picks, love how you started out with SMT I love that franchise
Thanks! It's one of my all time favorites as well!
I think astral chain and dusk diver aren't rpgs but other than that i agree with the games
Thanks for this vid man. I’m new to rpg/jrpg games and this helped a lot. Clear and concise! Perfect.
Glad to hear it helped! Hope you find the ones that click with you!
I actually enjoyed Ys 9 more than 8, mostly because it was a lot more fun exploring places due to special powers.
Exploring was way better in 9. Incredible experience
Billy Kametz was a legend and my heart aches for his family. His job with Dr Maruki melted my heart. Love his roles and performances!
Thanks for sharing! I still need to play Paper Mario
you should check out Mario RPG: the legend of the seven stars
It was the "Inspiration" for paper mario or if said realistically Paper mario was the Bender hissy fit of Nintendo when Square wasn't interested in making Mario RPG 2.
Nintendo: "I'll make my own Mario RPG! with blackjack and hookers!"
Ironically Mario RPG had both as well as references to drugs, alcohol, horse racing and female underwear... and paper mario is like a washed out version in all aspects including combat.
@@HallowedBeThyGame check out Mario RPG for the SNES first, it will ruin all of the paper marios for you! older and yet far superior.
Awesome video glad this popped up on my feed. Even as a long time rpg/jrpg fan there was a couple games on this list I hadn’t heard of and look pretty interesting 👀
I’m happy you could find something new! Thanks for watching!
I've play the Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne for the PS2 to know it's a good game and it was surprising to find they had voice acting for the Switch but what i like to get is the SMT5 when when i can :3 Kinda wish they made both Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 available for the switch as well but one can only hope for the future for the time being :3
I'm really hopeful DDS 1 and 2 can get modern ports as well. Hope you enjoy 5 if you can pick it up!
This list makes me happy I missed out on all these games because it means I have a huge library to play and enjoy now (never heard of SMT 3 nocturne until P5R came out and I loved every minute of it when I picked it up).
Hope you enjoy it!
Great Ooga Wooga!!! Now THIS is a fantastic list of Switch RPGs...This video is ELEGANTO!....VERYYY ELEGANTO!
I'll mention a few more to sweeten the list further 😃💖
🌻Disco Elysium
🌻Ori & The Blind Forest / Will 'O the Wisp
🌻Live A Live
🌻Valkyria Chronicles 4
🌻Triangle Strategy
🌻 The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
🌻 Bravely Default 2
🌻 Eastward
🌻 Darkest Dungeon
🌻Hades
Okayyyy! Today's nerdy question of the day for you....and Danik too (if interested )😁.....What's the most difficult mook (low level enemy) you've faced in a video game?😅
Wish you and all your loved one's a wonderful week ahead 💖🌷
Some incredible must owns listed here and some I need to get to as well. Thanks for sharing!
And off the top of my head the one that immediately comes to mind are some Hares of Inaba that kicked my hind end in Soul Hackers 2 lol. Great question! What about you?
Ori is amazing 💯
@@HallowedBeThyGame Disco Elysium and Ori are just phenomenal games 😃💖 Best of the best!
Aha! Soul Hackers 2 mooks...Hares of Inaba! Good choice. Mine are the 'Hasta' varieties of mooks....specially 'Hasta Perfectus' from Lost Dimension. Very mobile, durable, have further range of attack than most and can afflict your team members with status effects. They're at their most formidable when in a team 😅
@@DarioKalen_Kagenui Its pure video game magic 😁💖👍
Excellent list! I've played a Lot of these games, and The rest are on My backlog, not even a single exception, but a big part of them I played or plan to play on PC
Thanks! Friggin love these games
Astral chain is very fun
But it is challenging and very fast paced
so glad i found this video been on the fence on a couple of these games until now! Time to buy
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching!
I'm very surprised and disappointed he didn't mention it, but for anyone wanting to play 13 Sentinels there is an important change for the West: Censorship;
One of the Characters was written to be shown as Non-Binary in the West, which is False and EXTREMELY INSULTING;
The Character is simply a wholesome and lovely Cross-Dresser, but other than REQUIRING to know this before playing the Censored Version, 13 Sentinels is by far one of the most unique and beautiful Gamess made in recent memory, and you should try it out IF you like the Art Style
New subscriber here. You just made me want to play so many of those games! Great video.
That’s great! Happy you’re here and you’ll have to let me know if ya play any of them!
Eyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Didn't watch yet but leaving a comment for the algoooo let's go ✨✨✨✨
I appreciate it! You rock my friend!
