Jack Wade has given her some basic firearms training and he thinks she'll be able to carry her weight in a combat situation. Be careful though, 007, remember she isn't an experienced operative like yourself.
Just a couple of corrections here. Thank you to those of you that pointed out some factual errors I made. I misspoke originally about the Blackhawk and Redhawk models. The Blackhawk was available both in 44 and 38 caliber. Also, while it can be hard to pin down the exact model that the designers based each weapon on, it looks like the Goldeneye team was probably thinking of the Blackhawk rather than the Redhawk. Having said that, the Redhawk and Blackhawk are similar enough that I think it still serves as a pretty good real world test. Both are great guns and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to shoot both.
The biggest thing is that the Blackhawk cylinder is unfluted. I had a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum and absolutely LOVED IT. I could fire it one handed no problem... Thanks for what you do and bringing the nostalgia in a big way :-)

Now double action revolvers you dont have to thumb back the hammer every time to fire it just pull the trigger and it will go bang . But with the ruger red hawk in the video you can cock the hammer with your thumb or just pull the trigger. Theres literally hundreds if not thousands of videos on different types of action on guns just look it up
After playing goldeneye when I was a kid I become fascinated with guns (hand guns to be precise) every FPS since that I enjoyed using a pistol as a my primary gun to run around with in close quarters and mid range. I didn't grow up in a house with guns and only bought my first hand gun 2 years ago when I was 25. a neat little ruger sr22. Like your channel and hope you return despite youtubes not favoring gun related channels.
I have a particular attraction towards magnums, and I have Goldeneye to thank for it. You can just imagine how happy I was when I discovered that magnums were more common in Perfect Dark, even being the weapon of choice for the guards that appeared every time the alarm was sounded in the Chicago and G5 Building level, as well as the Datadyne shock troops in certain levels. Thanks for the memories.
I find it interesting that the gel block bounces back with so much force that it apparently ignites just from the compression. Also, iirc, the .44 Special cartrdge will also chamber and fire in a Redhawk, so you can still shoot it but don't have to suffer from that immense recoil.
I also am bery interested in what exactly could be happening there. What's ballistics gel made of? Some hydrocarbon I suppose? I'm thinking that some of the gel vaporizes into a heated vapour when the bullet transfers part of it's energy into it, and then the gas produced gets compressed when the gel bounces back, causing it to ignite like fuel in a diesel engine.

I have a ruger sp101 357 magnum with houge grips and I can honestly say I bought it largely because of the influence of this game, specifically the multiplayer one shot double penetration kills. The Cougar is suppose to be a 4 inch Colt Python barrel on a Ruger Security Six frame. The thread pitches aren't the same, so I don't know how anyone would have ever been able to build one. But that is where "Cougar" comes from. Colt-Ruger without the ltr.
The Cougar Magnum in the game has looks more similar to the single action Blackhawk, but functions in the game like the nearly identical, but double action Redhawk. Not sure if that was mentioned in the previous comments or not, just a friendly, minor correction.

Be cool to see u compare the KF7 Soviet with the Kalashnikov AK74 and the Krinkov AKS 74u. Alternatively, compare the AKS to the Phantom, as although that's modelled on the Spectre M4, it sounds like the KF7 and fires slightly faster, like the AKS does compared to the Kalashnikov AK. I'm certain the developers intended to use the 30 mag AKS and had the sound and rate of fire but for some reason changed it to the Spectre M4, which is a 50 mag SMG and I'm certain the real one doesn't sound at all like an AK, plus the public can only buy the single shot Spectre M4 anyway lol. Oh and the FN P90 compared to the RC-P90 (maybe also compare it to the MBPOW90 in TWINE 64, and the Belgique PS100 in TWINE PS1)

My ruger redhawk is a single action revolver. I don't mean to misinform. It's difficult to determine for cerrtain the exact model of firearm depicted in the game. I try to get it as close as I can, and I think I've done pretty well to present the information accurately. If I'm wrong though, I'm happy to admit my errors. I can say for certain the redhawk I was shooting was single action though.
Ruger never made the redhawk with single action only trigger If you pull the trigger without cocking the hammer it should draw the hammer back and fire. unless there is something broken in that case I'd recommend sending it back to ruger
I find it disturbing how violently you slam the cylinder shut while spinning it. Total misuse of a revolver. By no means should anyone buying a revolver do this and hope that their gun won’t be eventually damaged. I REPEAT, IF ANYONE BUYS A GUN BASED ON THIS VIDEO, DO NOT SPIN/SLAM YOUR CYLINDER SHUT LIKE THIS GUY OR LIKE IN THE MOVIES. If your video is to inform or to suggest that anyone buy one of these, this is showing people that it is ok to do one of the most violently damaging things you can do to a revolver. This will eventually cause misalignment, action issues, and damage the cylinder lock and pivot arm, with frame damage occurring beyond that. Also, you could also have made the suggestion that either of these guns could should 44 Special and 38 Special cartridges respectively. You don’t have to only shoot magnum rounds. Also I firmly believe that the Cougar is not based on the Ruger, just because the names are similar. Most guns in the game that aren’t in the movie are based on guns that were in other Bond movies. I’m betting the fact that it’s a nickel revolver it was based on the Smith and Wesson Model 29 that Roger Moore carried in the later part of Live and Let Die.

The Ruger Redhawk was never made as a single action. Your revolver is either broken (and based on how you treated it with that massive cylinder slam, I wouldn't be surprised.) or you don't have the finger strength to pull through the heavy double action trigger.

GoldenGuns just a heads up the revolver you have can actually be shot double action too. It’s a heavy trigger pull but it can be done.

In the game, the magnum is chambered in .357
Natalya is immune from the enemies bullets, but not from Bond's magical bullets that hurt/kill her easily.

Modern days single action guns does NOT need to be cocked after each shot. It only means that if cock it you will have more Smith triggeer pull.
