To be fair GoldenEye Rogue Agent was a good multiplayer game nowhere near as good as the original N64 game. You are 100% right about the title Cashgrab though. I played Rogue Agent over OG Xbox Live back in the day and it was dead but still play it from time to time over Xlink Kai. At best it's a decent game.

It's cause for one the game didn't take itself to seriously it was just fun but another reason is cause it was something more than the movie and you were even more of a badass than the character in the movie like you were the biggest badass on the entire planet.

No other FPS game outside of GE and PD has that same feeling of actually hitting your target. The sound effects on hit are not necessarily realistic but extremely satisfying. The way the guards stagger, allowing you to fairly handle a whole bunch of them at the same time as long as your aim is good enough..chef's kiss. The music is amazing, some of the most memorable soundtracks in all of gaming. The weapon and multiplayer variety of PD is still unmatched by any other game. Over 24 years ahead of its time as of today meaning we might never see anything like it ever again.

Best Bond game for me is everything or nothing then it's from Russia with love. I even have 007 racing in my list. One of the few games I would buy if I was to get back another OG PlayStation. Loved golden eye though. I would literally buy an n64 just for golden eye and perfect dark.

Bro it's not the bond game made it's one of the best games ever made....PERIOD..... Ps was def a cool game but it just doesn't have that movie element to it which is oddly cool af for 007 for some reason.. I'm not sure y and it's the only movie game I ever liked but it adds to it still somehow

While Goldeneye 007 is a good game (and debatably the best 007 game ever), compared to other games released in 1997 (or even today), it's not that impressive, nor has it aged well. Goldeneye 007 is a good game, but massively overrated (with Halo being another such case), and is given much more praise and credit than it actually deserves. There were games like QUAKE 2, TUROK, and HEXEN 2 that all came out the same year as Goldeneye 007 in 1997, and blew it out of the water both technologically and gameplay-wise by a mile, making Goldeneye inferior and obsolete in the same year it came out. The best of 1997 was QUAKE 2, not Goldeneye 007. The gold standard of 1997 was QUAKE 2 (with a multiplayer mode that was so amazing, that it later spawned the Dedicated Arena Shooter genre, and led to the release of GOAT legends like QUAKE 3: ARENA (1999) and Unreal Tournament (1999). In fact, the technical marvel classic FPS game, Unreal (1998), was literally created to be a QUAKE killer, not a Goldeneye killer, showing how QUAKE 2 was the gold standard of the time and the game to beat, not Goldeneye 007. So, while Goldeneye 007 is a good game, it wasn't that impressive, even for the time it came out, nor was it this ultra groundbreaking innovative marvel, that so many people falsely give it credit for, even back in 1997. It also wasn't that original either, as it's main source of inspiration was Virtua Cop (1994). Goldeneye was actually going to be a Rail Shooter just like Virtua Cop, until being changed into an FPS game later down the line once the technical specs for the N64 were confirmed, which only further shows how inspired Goldeneye 007 was by Virtua Cop (1994). Lastly, Goldeneye has aged like milk, while QUAKE 2, TUROK, and HEXEN 2 have all aged like fine wine. Everyone can have their favorites, but facts are facts.

Goldeneye was & will still b BOSS in this era of video games. The game was way ahead of its time. Even though Perfect Dark was its equivalent to me, i found Goldeneye more challenging which is why to me it was literally unforgettable. Only game that dethroned it was, OCARINA OF TIME! Now, this was just pure freaking magic!

Yes. I've never enjoyed any James Bond game other than Goldeneye. Part of what made Goldeneye what it was though has less to do with it being a Bond game and has more to do with its contribution to the FPS genre. It was a huge leap above anything that came before. I don't remember anything comparable on the PC until Half-Life.

I thought TWINE for N64 was one of the best FPS's of that generation and easily the most underrated of that generation. Top five imo with only Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and the First two MoH games ahead of it.

Thanks so much for this video. The DD44 was one of my favorite guns in the game. It never occurred to me that it was based on the Tokarev. My dad had a Chinese version he picked up in Vietnam. It was also the blued finish. I was always intrigued by it. When I was a teenager, we finally found some ammunition for it. I enjoyed the way it fired. Thanks for connecting the dots for me. Those are good memories of time with my awesome Dad.

The sleight cartoon aspect to GoldenEye was part of its allure It is "like" being a secret agent, but also a bright cartoony world where mountains an bright white and blue and so on, it wasnt like a dark brooding realistic thing like Turok was trying to be. Big blocks of bright color like a Cartoon, but you could still imagine you were really a secret agent as well. It was in between

5:15 I mean there were somewhat major departures in goldeneye mission (main 18 from Dam to Cradle) from the movie. 7:05 yeah a big part of why me and my brothers NEVER completed Bunker 2 or Archives SA or 00A was we got lost in the levels and couldn't find the important checkpoints. 24:29 its at this point I realized the video is 4 years old, and wow things have changed.
