    A REALLY inexpensive alternative to preformed bricks is cut up spare pieces of sprue. It comes in a huge variety of shapes and thicknesses. Because you cut them with a sprue cutter or nipper, some of the ends can be at broken / crooked angles. And best of all -It's FREE!

    These are badass. I was gonna use cork for the rubble already, but smearing them in drywall putty is perfect to make them look like actual walls. Glad I didn't start making my rubble bases yet until I saw this or I would have had to start over.

    Out of curiosity, if i grab dirt/sand from outside, I know it's gonna be baked to remove anything from it... But is it safe to bake it in your regular oven (in your kitchen) or do I have to get a dedicated oven for it?

    Translation for those not in America:
    - Exacto Knife = Hobbyy Knife
    - Drywall Paste = Pollyfiller
    - Elmer's Glue = PVA / School glue
    Seriously though, nice job!

    Although this is a great technique... why would there be bricks laying around amidst concrete ruins?
    Sticking some wire into the cork to represent rebar instead would have made it more realistic. Just saying.

    • @brynstarre
      @brynstarre 4 года назад

      A bunch of places that have been around long enough would have a mixture of architecture and building variations.

    • @JMcMillen
      @JMcMillen 4 года назад

      The bricks could have been part of decorative additions to the building to make it look less like a giant concrete box.

    • @RokuroCarisu
      @RokuroCarisu 4 года назад

      @@JMcMillen That is understandable. But concrete buildings happen to _be_ just boxes, usually.

    • @Tooupi
      @Tooupi 4 года назад +1

      @@RokuroCarisu I think he meant building with concrete and bricks or bricks added just for aesthetics. If not It can still be parts of other buildings (it's ruble after all)
      I will for sure use this guide but without adding bricks. Imo undamaged bricks don't fit next to a obliterated concrete ruin.

    • @JMcMillen
      @JMcMillen 4 года назад

      @@RokuroCarisu But even in the grim dark there will be those that try to make things less so. The bricks could have been put around the base of the building just purely for decoration.
