- All explained in the vid with commentary, this is my BEGINNER'S GUIDE in Final Fantasy 7 Remake on how to defeat Failed Experiment (ch13) on HARD mode easily! I showcase the build as well as my personal preferred method to beat in a few minutes with NO damage!

This one was a nightmare for me personally, sleep wasn’t consistent and I never invested in warding materia. The hardest thing about him is the sleep spams and stuns. Fortunately I had one headband to keep Barrett immune. Took me so many tries even with this technique but finally. Didn’t manage to finish him off while staggered and things were falling apart so i panicked and started spamming blizzaga and miraculously won. Crazy to hear people call this the easiest I had a much easier time with hell house. I guess we all have our poisons. Thanks for the help.
I think Hellhouse was much easier as well mate
Nice man! i confess that for me was a little bit difficult to make him staggered, because even make him sleep and using blizzard ++, wasn't enough, but i focused on apendice during the battle and when he got staggered I could finish him.
And i also use your tutorial to defeat the final boss hahahahah.

Just like the Souls like games, when you know HOW to property take on these hard mode bosses you don't waste resources like MP and use it when it make a real difference. Brilliant!
Awesome strat - first time win. I didn't manage to land as much damage during the stagger phase as you did but following up with another Starshower/MaxFury combo seemed to re-expose his heart and let me finish him off with a couple more attacks.

If using blizarra can fill the limits, this way just equip magnify+ice on Barret and this fight will be very easy.
I was dreading this boss on hard mode because of how difficult I remembered it from my normal play through but this strategy made it a cake walk!
Followed your steps until the staggered part until i didn't beat him before the stagger runs out i simply just end him with a lot of blizzaga and hide on the container when he uses the plasma attack. Overall thanks for the steps!
The hardest thing in this fight is the game's auto-target....The bull Barret even targets enemies he can't damage (above the platform)....but yes this boss is not hard compare to the previous one: chariot @@

Flawless strat. Sleep and waiting until Tifa rejoins before taking appendage down really helped me through.
Yea i think thats the key, think this was one of the easiest strategies to figure out surprisingly, perhaps it was just luck that I experimented with the stuff that works first!!!. Some of the boss strategies I have here took me hours of trial and error xD
I’m going through your boss guides and it’s so nice but honestly for the first phase I used Tifa to constantly do uppercuts to clear out the little ads at the beginning. For Barrett i spammed fire on the boss and used his atb ability it instant kills the boss. But yeah I’m getting closer to the platinum

How did you solve the sleep problem everytime I cast sleep on it the other experiments keep casting sleep on me?
dont even recall, its all in the video. Do i have antisleep materia or equipment?
Sorry I goofed up the the comment what I meant was every time I used sleep on the failed experiment the other unknown entities keep casting sleep on me

If different things are happening to you, maybe your timing is off or maybe a little slower?
Why did I beat it first time on hard whereas when I played it originally on easy it was actually hard. This game is way too inconsistent on hard

Was trying your way the whole time and his minions kept attacking me every time i tried to shoot his appendage. I never shot him when he crouched, and for some reason he keeps stomping me. What am i doing wrong?

One of the easiest bosses player say, but there is still a easier way to do it ;)
Its very easy to do and more likely that players will first destroy the 1st appendage, problem then though is that in his next phase, its tricky to get behind him to hit his appendage multiple times
Was so much easier to bring the appendage HP way down, then knock him into his last phase and then just sleep him for an easy shot
And in his last phase, i just always seem to get knocked to sleep, seemed inevitable, which is where the Warding+Sleep came in useful
@@Optinooby - I didn’t come as close as you did to one-phasing the Failed Experiment, but I immediately switched to Barret and targeted the appendage and it dropped pretty much right away.
@@Corion2121 Oh it didnt drop straight after that first level 3 blizzard with Tifa, yea, depends how low you brought its hp down before the phase change, luckily was low enough for ya for barret to quickly knock off ;)
No many to go right, but many more fun fights to come ;)

Don't I show, I have equipment or materia don't I here that I use to avoid sleep..?
How do you upgrade your material slots I only have 2
in your weapon tree
gotta go into upgrade weapons and allocate the points.
If I knew blizzard was his weakness yeah this is really easy. Staggering the enemy is the key to an easy kill.

I have the same settings and I'm under the ledges and I get unknown entities on me and barret does not do the damage to the appendage that you do.
Same materia and everything, weapon upgrades etc??? Sometimes if you damage with a certain element, the initial pressure starts off lower, I noticed it with Leviathan
Everything is definitely the same and you do the same attacks??? Do u have extra weapon upgrades that I don't have??
@@Optinooby if anything inhave more like heal and revive. I just can't get the damage output no matter what I try and definitely can't even get close to stunning.
I don't know how you stagger so quickly. He gets up way before I can stagger. Don't know how you've done this.
@@dacabbage Has Barret got a elemental materia attacked to his weapon, if so, is urs maxed???
@@Optinooby I have literally the same weapons armour and accessory. All same materia, except a couple of my hp plus are at 3 or stars. I've got the stagger sorted. I'm level 50. Weapons virtually maxed bar a couple of nodes. I just cannot recreate the damage you do. I maybe can get 75% of his health down. Literally do the exact same steps
He's hard AF on hard mode
They are all hard in their own way, a lot of players say this is the easiest boss though

That strategy I got down for Hell House, it wouldnt take too much practice to no damage him, Chapter Abzu was the worse 1 for me.
Though im about to start covering Chapter 17 in the coming days, could all change xD
