Shawn you need to crank it and pump it a whole lot more than what you’re doing my friend in high school he had an 82 Chevy short bed and his carburetor had no choke so he started in the morning he had to pump the crap out of it for it to start that’s what you need to do and you’re not cranking itLong enough you need to crank it more than three seconds
Like multiple others have stated it works best if you keep using that boot and pump on it while cranking. make it start. hold it revved up when it does so that you get it warmed up faster.
When you are cranking this old girl in cool weather like it was the day you did this video. Remember while starting once she starts to struggle to come to life rapidly pump and then FLOOR it to give a sudden rush of gas into the carb. Nice starting video though. Gotta give it to the battery though for staying strong.
Nice truck. Sounds good once it’s running. Why not rebuild the carb. Before ya do , make some more of these videos too. Nice looming boots. Wide toe. What are they. Look well worn in.
Your fuel pump, or carb is bad with a defect and/or on it's way out. Fix the choke and go over the fuel system. Check the timing, base and advanved. You need to stop struggling to start this truck. It's just not good for it. Your starter will be dead next. Fix the choke, fuel system, fuel filter, fuel pump, vacuum leaks. It's bad for the starter. etc. Whats the timing, and manafold vaccum, give a spray of starter fluid and if it does not start, check the fuel pump next.

Pump it while you have the key turned. Every GM vehicle I owned wanted to be pumped WHILE cranking. And I had to keep my foot on it for a bit.
Yeah mechanical fuel pump won't work if the engine isn't rotating

5 pumps and hold to floor first time cold start no choke. Hold down and keep cranking.
