    One thing I love about this video is that NOBODY used the damn “remote start” because it proves that “remote start” should NOT standard or optional on a full size pickup with a diesel engine!

    • @hunterbiles5549
      @hunterbiles5549 10 месяцев назад +1

      I agree, I work on motorhomes as part of my job and some of the smaller ones are diesel and some even with remote start. I remember one day it was -5 outside and I had to start one up to move it inside of a bay and sure enough it was cranking for a solid few seconds then gave up. Had to do it 3 times to get it started. Would've preferred a key over that BS

    Here in France, diesel had been generalized for daily using in the 90's and 2000's for any body
    So diesel engines had been improved To be near classic engines: no hard cold start and specific warming up unfortunately !

      First truck is a Detroit 4-53t swapped 01-06 GMC Sierra 4x4, it’s hard starting because the 2 stroke Detroit’s don’t have glow plugs or grid heaters, instead the rely on the cranking to build up heat in the cylinders to create combustion and the reason for the pause between attempts is to let the starter cool off and heat soak the cylinders.
