    Wait so Rob actually plays a shovel? I always thought it was supposed to be fake for "comedic value". You know, the whole "ha he's pretending to be playing a shovel that's funny". This is pretty cool, never knew you could play a shovel.

    wow. I got to 6:25 before i realized u had background music going on. Usually videos with music have it cranked louder than the speaker. Very subtle. Touch of class. Class act. new subscriber.

      +Switch & Lever Adding frets is a whole different matter, but I'm sure you'd have no problem with the precision needed!

    So I am a Contractor/Carpenter/Woodworker and a Guitar player since about 1966 with a degree in music 79, I've never used. So naturally as a subscriber I gravitated to this video. I really didn't think it would work as well as it did. Honestly, I thought you're going to hang this on the wall with your empty beer bottle collection. Good job.

    You've inspired me to start learning how to wood work. I've been a CNC lathe operator for Aero Space for over 10 years and want to move my skills into something a bit more enjoyable.

    The "mistake" on the string tuner, in my opinion, is actually pretty awesome. I like the clean look of the string going underneath. You, sir, have done a fine job!

    That turned out really cool, not what I was expecting. I can imagine a whole set of guitars made from old wood handled tools; maybe even an old felling axe.

    Bob, great video! I tried making one of these like this and found that, in my case, annealing the spots on the shovel (heating the steel with a torch to a point slightly above the critical temperature in order to soften the metal to a more easily workable hardness) where holes must be drilled makes for a much easier time and greatly lessens the risk of damaging your drill bits on the hardened steel of the shovel.
    I am not saying you did anything wrong nor do I consider myself an expert in metalworking. I am simply sharing something that I discovered through my own attempt at this project.

    I love this channel. Always great when I see people working together to create awesome projects. Great project and great video. You should make some kind of amp next. At the very least do a project that involves guitars, some kind of rack maybe? Keep up the great work.

    Wow! Very creative. Your videos really help. I just spend 8 hours on a lumber storage cart mixed with the really easy 2x4 table. Those are 2 tutorials that you made.
