like 95% of a guitars tone is the pickups and the amp+pedals tbh so that's not a bad thing

So I had some time on spring break (I'm a high school Math Teacher) and now with us all on quarantine and school closed I wanted you to know you inspired me to make my own shovel guitar. Finished it today and it plays! Haven't plugged it into my full board yet but I will soon! I was going to add a photo but I cant.

The biggest pedalboard shoudve been just a chain of metalzone-miku-metalzone a few thousand times run into a Line 6.
The telegraph thing is called a key. It is used to send morce code. Radio amateurs still use it today to send morce code to each other, sometimes literally around the world, independent of any cables, networks, internet or electricity. Well they still need electricity to power the radio. It is so cool.
