Crazy thing is...if I loc, I want it to stay like that. Frizzy with curly ends is so beautiful. People with faux locs try to achieve this look.
i want my locs to look just like this!! i love the frizzy curly look
Me too
Me watching at 1 week loc’d 👁 👄 👁
Same lol
I’m five months locd too 🎉 I love finding people who have started around the same time as mine. Yours are looking good!
Thank you!! 🥰
Yesss! Embrace your hair! Your gonna be so at peace when u accept the frizz and shrinkage. Growth and moisture retention will come in time, trust me
your locs are soo beautiful sis!! and the shirt is cute af 😍
Thank you!!
Im about 4.5 months locd too....i've been moisturizing my locs with a mixture of rose water, vegetable glycerin and aloe vera juice n then I seal n the moisture with a mix of avacado oil, sweet almond oil n vitamin E oil....it works wonders to combat the dryness. Haven't found anything 4 the frizziness yet tho...i've just been embracing it n wearing head wraps when its super frizzy.....love ur videos n good luck on ur journey girl...
Rose water glycerin is the ONLY thing that moisturizers my hair.
I love almond oil. Light
I feel so much better now. I’m 3 months loc’ed and my hair looks just like your five month loc. I feel like I’m going in the right direction.
Definitely! It gets “worse” before it gets better ❤️
I’m only 2 wks in and I can’t wait to get to the 4-5 month mark. My shrinkage is extremely real.
Imma be real with you... You are all the way GOOD because as they mature, your locs are going to be thick, full & amazing! So endure the challenges.
Loving your mean mug pic. You look fine.
I'm glad I found your channel....I have the same curly ends...and cut off the fairy knots and my back budded first too!
Target makes a rose water glycerin mix that's good too....jojoba is good too because it's the same as the sebum that comes from the scalp....
I am almost concerned the frizz will never calm down...
New subscriber!
target you say? okay im gonna good look for it. thanks!...3 months in!
I’ll be 5 months on the 27th and I’m leo too. Your hair is coming along beautiful 😍
Leo gangg 🥳 Thank you boo!!
I am Leo ♌️ also and will be 5 months in December 2020 xx
Try steaming your hair before putting the oil in! I spray my hair and then oil it! It’s extra moisturized
I'm 4 months and my hair looks like yours. You might feel crusty lol, but this gives me encouragement to keep going through this journey!! The hair by my temples also kept coming out!! I ended up interlocking those really straight hairs I have in certain places.
I’m glad to have come across your videos. My hair looks like yours so I’m feeling confident that I’m heading in the right direction.
Hey loc sis! We’re on a similar journey. Excited to have found you just subscribed. We might be a lil ruffff right now but they don’t wanna see us at our 1 year mark 💁🏾♀️😂 I’ve started using conditioner as well, spoke about it one of my videos but I think it’s significantly help. We got this 👏🏾👏🏾
Conditioner helps so much!! I dilute mine and use it twice a month.
3 months in🔥 my budding n frizz is real
I love your locs! I’m 3 months in and our locs textures are very similar you’re the first youtuber I’ve seen with locs like mine😍😍😍
I’m 5 months in! My hair is also very dry! Idk what to do it’s driving me crazy! I finally found someone who has similar texture as me! You just gained a new subbie!!☺️
@Darie Smith have you ever tried water and glycerin? I’ve used that on my loose natural hair for almost 12 years and now my starter locs as of 2 weeks ago. It’s the ONLY thing that keeps my hair soooooo moisturizers is crazy!!!
I don’t use any kind of oil. And I live in one the driest states of America, Utah!!
@@isachick1 no I haven’t but I will definitely try it out! Thank you 😊
@Darie Smith for reference I use a regular spray from dollar tree fill it 75% bottled water and the rest vegetable glycerin. It’s amazing!
i cannot remember if you condition your hair or not but if not please do. you don’t need a lot of conditioner just a enough to soft the hair. a lot of ppl don’t recommend it. but it’s very much needed. just get one that is silicon free. and you may need to try oil rinsing to retain moisture
Yaaasss. I’m ☝🏾 month in and I see budding 😩🙌🏾🥰
I’ll be 2 months September 17th
I just subscribed. I will be starting my loc journey this week! So excited!
I’m only 3 weeks in and seeing all these 4-5 month updates are scaring me!! 😭
Hello! I decided to go on a lock journey along with my eldest daughter. I'm just actually a month in and she's some months ahead of me however..it is really awesome watching you go through your lock journey and sharing your experiences also glad to know that conditioning it won't actually be a bad idea either thanks for that too because I love conditioner and it's quite a habit..in this video when you mentioned that you and I share the same b'day ok birthday twin you go! I'm here for it twin! Thank you for sharing your updates. I love this tbh I'm so glad I decided to lock my hair because I've never felt so free 💞💞🤸🏾♀️
Your crown is becoming sooo beautiful Queen! 😍😍 reminds me so much of when I started . I followed you on Instagram and subscribed .😍 I NEED to see your journey !! Wish I had your confidence when I started
I’m currently going on 7 months loc’d and I tired homemade rose water in the beginning which seemed to make my hair and scalp so dry. I made some homemade aloe Vera juice with distilled water and added a few drops of oil to it and it has helped my hair majorly. I get normal dandruff when it gets closer to a wash day and my hair is a lot better moisturized since making the switch.
This is the third video I have watched from you. I'm feeling your content! Thanks for sharing your loc journey! I'll be 7 months loc'd tomorrow💚 #LocSiStars
Love how that little piece of lint flew off at 2:45 🤣🤣
I’m almost at 9 months and mine look very similar to yours, and have since about four months lol. Your five month loc is my whole head right now and my retwist isn’t even a week old 🤦🏾♀️ but yeah, the fairies eventually will seal up, I’ve had/have a bunch of them but all of those locs have now lost their loose, curly ends for the most part
Have you ever tried aloe Vera juice in a spray bottle to moisturize your hair? It makes my hair feel so incredibly soft & soothes my scalp if it itches. Spray it in your hair at night & put a bonnet on and when you wake up your hair will feel amazing
Your locs look good!!!
heyy girl, love your videos! hope you're well and i'll be here patiently waiting on your next fye upload:)🔥
We need a update sis lol please! Great video as well!
Has anyone heard from here. My hair is like hers and I’m trying to be patient but I need a video lol
Thank you for showing that 5 month loc with the frizz and crazy buds ! Gurl i was getting worried because I have about 5 or 6 locs like that ughh!! But now I know it’s normal lol …I’m. 5.5 months in and your hair is beautiful!! Thx queen! 💯❤️
Your locs are beautiful!! I started mine October 31st this year with 2 strand twist also. My hair is only about 4 or 5 inches but my texture is exactly like yours. I subscribed to your channel. I can't wait until mine get your length. Thank you for sharing
I like the fullness of your locs. I can't wait for mine to look full like that. I know everyone's journey is different. Love your style. Mine is still too short for an updo ponytail
Gurl your locs looking GUUD.... Embrace your loc journey it is what it is. If you do not stop, lol, speaking low frequencies it'll smack your front and back to the dump. Love your transformation to the fullest,. Its on, I am new subscriber
I’m 4 months and 4 weeks loc’d with my second set of loc’s 😁😭
So glad I found this video because I thought I was the only one.... OMG IM AND THREE MONTHS IN AND IM GOING CRAZY!!!! My hair is all over the place
I would like to know if you prefer the way the coil hair look/feel or do you wish you would’ve started with 2 strand twists? I have the exact same texture as yours and I’m still deciding on how to start my locs.❤️
Hair looks healthy and LUSH!
I love the shower steam idea. Maybe try steaming in the shower first and then adding the oils because then the cuticles of your hair with be open and can penetrate and seal the hair follicles
where have you been!? please come back lol ! I hope you are doing okay!
Im in my 3 month and dryness to the max ugh gotta try new oils i love my rosewater but my hair isn't. Still loving my journey!
Its trial and error! Youll figure it out babes! 🥰
omg I’ve also been feeling very tender headed lately! Just pulling my hair up be having me hurting some days! I’m about 3 and half months in!
So glad I found your channel and this video! I'm just a few days away from my 4 month loc date 😊
I've been there gurrrrrl tell me about it ...... 15 yrs growin my antenna an been thru it all The key to healthy hair is to be consistent with routine an products These few suggestions may help U 1. Maybe U need a moisturisin shampoo 2. Moisturise yr hair regularly with water and some oil or oils together 3. When U deep condition put some oils into the mixture 4. Use a silk or satin scarf to tie hair loosely to not dry moisture out I hope these suggestions are some help to keep yr hair thrivin if not U'll def work it out with patience an a good helpin of trial an error
Also new subscriber I love your locs and dedication/ your personality is super cool!
You are so beautiful. So happy I found your channel. I hope you upload soon again. Thanks for sharing your journey.
I'm 3 months in my journey I love your hair how curly it look
We're basically the same time loc'd. But your hair has grown tho! It's coming along nicely. I think I found my loc twin lol
P.s, I don't like rose water also. It makes my hair flake so I stopped and I use both castor and olive oil. But, you should try aloe vera juice. It works well with my VERY dry scalp.
thank you girly!!
and Oooooo ima have to try that aloe vera juice!!
How do you use the aloe Vera juice?
@@darsellehaywood2527 I used the plant and blended the gel with water and then strained it. I put the blend in a spray bottle and place it on my scalp only. If you really want it to stay in there for a good two days, then you can add essential oils to it.
Here's the video on how I use it: ruclips.net/video/sJzrJd1p14s/видео.html
when she say she busted, crusted and disgusted, i don’t be seeing it. she look cute w her hair like thissss
Alright! I watched all your videos in one day! We need moreee! Hope everything is okay!
I locked my daughter’s hair in August 2020 and I condition her hair every wash (every 3 weeks) and it has locked with no problems at all and she actually has a softer, looser texture. I think not conditioning locs is a myth...lol. No matter what you do, your hair will loc. Her hair is further in the locing process than most that I see around her timeframe and further. I say condition, condition... her hair is so soft, but yet having no trouble locing...
Ur so pretty and i love the curly ends of ur locs ❤❤❤
I’m starting my 5th month being locked 🔒 started in October 2020. My hair is doing the same thing yours is, I got all the frizz, budding, some sealed, each one is doing it’s own thing. I love it 😻, but I do look a lil rough lol 😂 Thanks for posting this, I know I’m not alone 🙃
New subbie. I love your locs.
I'm 4 months in and loving it! Still have some curly ends but the majority of my hair is loc'd.
Hey hun so what’s your routine as for styling in the beginning stages? Great discussion about your moisture routine thanks!
People complain about the look of frizzy starter locs and idk but I love the crazy unkept look cause as soon as you retwist they hold their mouths.
Even you'd hold your own mouth 😅😅
Its locing sis
Omg I love your hair 🥰
Love your channel
Just hit my 2 months ystrdy ... I was lookin forward to your update! Not looking forward to dryness this my hair is usually dry these last 2 months have been the best my hair has felt in as long as I can remember 😩
Its just a phase sis ill get thru it! And so will you when the time comes ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for this. I’m going on 2 months loc’d and had to stop messing with my “fairies”, the urge to rip those stray hairs is sooooooooo intense!
Can we get an update? You haven’t posted in 5 months.
I’m 3 days past my 5 month loc anniversary ☺️
Update ?
I'm five months local to love your video your locs are beautiful
I just started my locs, but I use a pantene nourishing spray from Walmart...girl...my hair is super moisturized...almost too much. I was doing it every day but am doing it about every 3 days now.
Cant wait but can wait till my 2 locs loc
We’re you been girl it’s been a year 😭
Why are we not supposed to rip the fairies off?
that happened to me too with the loc coming out. 1 in the back and and 1 on the side. in my 3rd month. i was able to comb right through and literally had to retwist them both completely. i wonder why that happens? yours still look beautiful tho.
Omg my hair looks almost the same(5 months too) im like why does my hair look like kunte kinte! Like styling it is so hard...nothing looks good at this stage! My hair is super dry too...i use conditioner sometimes and use macadamia or almobd hair and massage my scalp with them...i have to wet my hair in the shower everyday or it will look a hot mess
I thought I was the only one with thisnproblem. So happy to see others struggling too!
I like the way your locs look. They are pretty I JUST decided to let my twists loc.... My hair is more fine then yours and less density. I love your curly ends.
Don’t use sink water use bottled water in your spray bottle and you may have to spritz it more than twice a day
How many locs do you have in your hair?
Can you do an update please?
I cant wait to start my locs
I have a question when you just started on two strands but have had it in a protective style for two weeks, is it okay for me to start wearing it out? & does wearing it out help it bud ?
My locs are wild too!!! 😁
It's still beautiful though ! ❤️
Hi how do you maintain/ relighted your locs
Do you drink a lot of water, eat a lot of fruit & veggies? I'm following Yannie's suggestions.
Yes I will call mine fairies lol
I'm 6 months in and budding and frizzy
What size locs do you have
#quarantinelocgang 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I am 7 months on 11/13
I started a week ago ayeeee
lol 1 day in
Did you start your locs off with coils or two strand twist
My hair looks like yours at 4 weeks I wonder what it will look like at my 5 month mark😬
Cute locs
I use water and blue magic on my loc's
What happened to her?
I’ll be 2 months in 3 days 🥺💓
not looking forward to update
When can i start putting the accessories in :)
Hello 💜 I've "HEARD" after 1 year to add jewelry or dye for that matter. The 1st year should be focused on embrace, care, and (not limited to) shaping. This allows them to form properly to be accessorized. Wishing you wild goodness on your journey.
Kitten Jackson thank youuuuu❤️
❤️🙌🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️
I’m only 2 months in
I like "fairy" lol
You are sooo gorgeous! Hello beautiful 🥰
You are just beautiful
