They have never written an album that sounds the same as the one before it, every album they release is different, with the good ol' Bodom signature sound. Stop expecting something to sound like their old stuff. Even Hatebreeder, Something Wild, and Follow the Reaper all sound VERY different from each other. If you want to hear the same goddamn album over and over go listen to Amon Amarth.

Connor Carlson I dont even think that many people expect it to sound like ,,Something Wild" or ,,Follow the Reaper". I just think that cob set high expectations with their first 4,5 albums, which they were not really able to satisfy. I dont wanna start a discussion about if it began with blooddrunk or later or earlier, but you can tell differences between the old and new stuff, not only in style, but in creativity and originality. Ofc its stupid to blame cob, but if someone doesnt like the new stuff he should have the right to say that. And I dont agree, that there is a ,,good ol bodom signature sound".

Connor Carlson Couldn't agree more. I understand people loving the old albums, but Bodoms not gonna grow as a band unless they do different shit. I can already tell a lot of differences in this song and Morrigan. And they're very welcome changes to me. The only reason Alexi would disappoint me is if he stopped writing music.

Marcos Renan Why do you wait for COB to do songs like this? This has never been what they do. COB should do what they do best (Melodic Death Metal) not thrash metal with death metal vocals, which is what I consider this to be. One of their worst songs to date.

Your music wont be versatile, it will be boring, bland, people dont take risks anymore, they are mediocre and rather present to the public a similar record to their last, yes there is a load of guys making "their" stuff, which is great, i love that, i find it worth my time. I think saying, i play in an experimental metal band, we are open to all kind of ideas and care of our music.

They even had their own preset made for a couple of keyboadrs, cant remember their name but they did. Also check out Bodom After Midnight, its the new children of bodom because sadly they had to split up but alexi and someone else from the band made Bodom After Midnight
Fantastic. After listening to this and Morrigan, I have a very high hope it's gonna be a great album.

When i heard "morrigan" i was a little disapointed because it wasn't that "angry" "darker" bodom that they promised on the net. But now this track... this is like the most angry song they have came up with since in your face! simply love it!!

"I Worship Chaos" est l'un des meilleurs albums du groupe, par ailleurs tous extraordinaires... Tout est superbe et étonne par la créativité toujours renouvelée des compositions tant musicale (guitares, clavier,...) que vocale (chant guttural d'orque d'Alexi Lahio) et par la virtuosité des musiciens... Toutefois de cet ensemble excellent émerge quand même des perles rares comme les magnifiques "Morrigan" et "Prayer for the Afflicted", les titres "I Hurt" et "I Worship chaos" aux beats frénétique accrocheurs qui vous possèdent et les étonnants "Suicide Bomber" et "Mistress of Taboo", ce dernier rock exceptionnel aux parties vocales martelées fascinantes qui vous frappent à la face... Quel pied on prend avec cette musique !!!
As always, these guys kick ass. Love the song, and would love to hear the album when it comes out, and would enjoy purchasing a CD.

I can't believe how many people don't like this. Frankly I find it better than a select handful of tracks from Follow the Reaper and the other early albums. Relentless was garbage, I'm just glad this band sounds good again.

Josh Teixeira How doesn't it sound like children of bodom? A band, especially an awesome band like children of bodom don't just have a single sound and way to create music. Personally, I love this and I think it's suited for children of bodoms "sound". I love the earlier albums for sure, but I don't get the feeling of "less heart" in their newer songs. Not that i'm implying anything. Sorry if it comes out that way

I also listen to rap (Eminem, Aesop Rock, Mike Shinoda (Fort Minor/Linkin Park, Styles Of Beyond maybe?) and electronic music (mostly dubstep, but also Trap, Electro-House, Trance, ) And tons of other shit

CoB "fans": "this doesn't sound like everything else they've done so it sucks" and then they love it anyway and praise it when the next album comes out.
For the first time in a long time a song actually made me smile becaus eof how good it was.
And then i just had to take a look in the comments.
You can't get mad at people who are upset about Bodom's new sound on the last 4 or so albums. Many of this band's fans don't know what it was like to discover them early when Hatebreeder or Follow the Reaper was the latest album, to be overwhelmed by how interesting and refreshing the music was, back when it was technical and melodic but still eerie and intriguing, and then watch as each album drifted further away from those traits that made Children of Bodom special and unique. They gradually abandoned all their classical influence, slowed down the tempos, and replaced their powerful diatonic melodies and progressions with prototypical discording thrash riffs. Bodom is still better than the vast majority of metal bands, and though fans have no right to tell a band what to play or how to sound, their complaints are fair and valid. I Worship Chaos is good, but that's all it is, and that's disappointing coming from a band that's capable of making music as distinct and masterful as they have in the past.

Angels don't kill was the first metal song of any kind that I heard. Follow the reaper is one of my favor albums. even after all these years.
Bands will play what they want, and I appreciate them playing what they want to more than playing whats most broadly appealing. In Flames is one of my absolute favourite bands, their constant change in sound is refreshing, and although I prefer Whoracle, I listen to all (except Siren Charms, I just can't seem to find a single bit of intresting thing about that album) albums.

Im not against change in style or music, but I dont feel touched by this song, there are no goosebumps, there is no ,,omg i cant believe this song is so awesome"..all these things I experienced with the old cob stuff..Still its probably good that they continue to make music, because the new stuff isnt bad..but pls dont compare it to the old legendary relicts they left us.. sorry for bad english

The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Many complain about them not being the same. I say I definitely wouldn't buy their albums if they were all the same. Another band I thought can't surprise me anymore keeps surprising me. The other band is Trivium.
That's how I've lost my hope. I miss the old Bodom. The last album I can listen to is Follow The Reaper. You lost your way, guys, unfortunately, your way to sound, your way to play.
