However, the celestial Court clearly does not trust him (because, in the original story of Journey to the West, Wukong once rebelled against the Heavenly Court's control and wreaked havoc in Heaven, ultimately being subdued by the Buddha and pressed under Five Finger Mountain for 500 years. He later assisted Tang Sanzang in overcoming various hardships to obtain the scriptures and was conferred the title of Buddha). So, this time, the celestial Court comes to subdue him again. The one with three eyes and a black dog is Erlang Shen, the commander of this expedition (he was called Yang Jian before becoming a god). He is the nephew of the Jade Emperor (who is equivalent to the God or Zeus in Western mythology), as he is the son of the Jade Emperor's sister, who fell in love with a mortal. Chapter 1 is more linear after that it becomes more open world. There's still invisible walls in some places but it's a lot more free and open after chapter 1
From the history, cinematography & action aspect, this is one of the best representations of the legendary monkey Sun Wukong I've ever seen/played. Man this game is op.
The little that i know about the monkey king is that. Why in the beggining of the story he suddenly gets like a headache when fighting that one guy; is that to keep the monkey king under control while working with the monk he travels with they placed a golden circlet. The circlet will tighten on his head causing immense pain anyone who knows the mantra will activate it.
More like dragon ball taking reference from Wukong, as this is the original Sun Wukong from Chinese novel journey to the west, where dragon ball z had taken all the inspiration from. Great playthrough so far!
All the inspiration is crazy 💀 some of the fantasy elements sure but DB is a mix of everything it has some Aliens and other movie references and stuff too, Toriyama has taken inspo from everything and twist it into it's own thing.

Idk man, I don't understand why so many streamers are searching hard for things to dislike about this game. At the beginning, there was a tutorial (just the prompts were missed). There are some points where you need to grind to level up (if you're not good or choose the wrong sparks), but overall I had a lot of fun playing. In fact, I only stopped because my lights went out lol.
I dont know how good this game is or gonna be but it looks fun so far and hopefully this vod with expand my horizons for it Much love you an awesome person
in the game, there are bosses and mini-bosses bosses have cutscenes before you fight them...mini-bosses don't have cutscenes, you just come across them and a boss bar shows up

"It didn't give me any tutorial" he says, as he's playing a tutorial fight... Nah but fr, my favorite moments in every "lets play" is when a youtuber ignores a tutorial/doesn't pay attention to it and complains "it didn't tell me how to do it"
This game actually adjusts to your skill level, if you struggle to beat an enemy they just straight up die, but if your absolutely destroying them the go into a second stage, which is really cool, it's probably why it doesn't have a difficulty feature
at one time, Sun Wukong title himself as "the Sage equal to heaven", so his use of term like "brother", "uncle", "nephew" is really a challenge to say he doesn't recognise the heaven's superiority over him. then he got defeated by buddha... an interesting fact is the jesuit translate god as "heaven" in chinese, the chinese word for "catholic" is the church of "heaven", in china instead of religion fighting each other, they tend to merge into one... just like how Buddha and Heaven was intergrated into the same story.
