I saw someone trying to explain the content of the first chapter. Most people have a similar understanding, but there are some slight differences. This story is actually easy to understand if you have read the original "Journey to the West." Chapter One Summary: Elder Jinchi (the monster with the big head in the game) is the abbot (leader) of the Guanyin Temple. He is 275 years old. Although he is a highly respected monk, he has not truly comprehended the essence of Buddhist teachings. Buddhism emphasizes the concept of letting go of all desires and attachments. However, Elder Jinchi has a fondness for money and a passionate hobby of collecting kasayas (a type of robe worn by monks). In the original novel, Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong have just begun their journey to the West when they pass by Guanyin Temple, where Elder Jinchi resides. Upon hearing that Tang Sanzang is a high-ranking monk from the Tang Dynasty, Elder Jinchi wants to show off his collection of kasayas to Tang Sanzang. Tang Sanzang then takes out a kasaya that was bestowed upon him by Guanyin Bodhisattva. (Tang Sanzang was not showing off; he simply respects Guanyin and has never worn the robe.) When Elder Jinchi sees the exquisite kasaya, which is far superior to any in his collection, he becomes envious and greedy. He deceitfully asks Tang Sanzang if he can borrow the robe for a night, promising to return it the next day. However, under the influence of his two disciples, Guangzhi and Guangmou (who are the monsters wielding the fire sword and poisonous snake in the game), he plots to set Tang Sanzang on fire. Sun Wukong, foreseeing their scheme, uses the Fire Avoidance Cover (a magical item also featured in the game) to protect Tang Sanzang. As a result, Elder Jinchi and all the monks in Guanyin Temple are burned to death in the fire. Amidst the chaos, the Black Bear Demon seizes the opportunity to steal the kasaya. The Black Bear Demon is a monster from Black Wind Mountain who, because of his interest in Buddhism, became acquainted with Elder Jinchi. So, this is the story of the first chapter. The creators want to use this story to convey a message to everyone: let go of the greed in your heart. The first relic you acquire in the game corresponds to the eyes, suggesting that once you see something that tempts you, greed can easily arise.
Asking your favorite RUclipsr/streamer to play the game without talking is basically just admitting that you’re a broke boy that can’t afford to buy it and you wanna live vicariously through them
I love how SeeReax Leaves the area and heals right before he dies. The Earth wolf saw that and was like cool let me do that too next. Peace! *Vanishes and reappears with full health when about to die.*
1:14:19 - That's basically Chinese bards. Storytelling through song. Though it's not on the monk's model, most singers have a pair of wooden plates tied to their leg that they bounce, causing the plates to tap together and it establishes the beat of the song. That's the clicking sound you hear. Anyone that wants to hear more in that style can look it up on youtube as 'Northern Shaanxi storytelling'
Heres the chapter 1 story breakdown: The monk gets loss chasing after the toad (symbolism for riches and this point comes full circle.) The monk and the bear meat up with each other and the bear gives him money thinking thats why hes there. The monk later returns and begins climbing ranks obtaining all of these fancy kasaya (robes). Then he becomes complacent until wukong and sanzang comes through and he wants to kasaya sanzang is wearing. He attempts to burn sanzang but wukong redirects the fire , burning the town and punishing the monk. The bear asks the monk why did he do it and the monk is basically saying he wanted to be different through wealth. The streaks running down the face are from his smashing his head against a wall. Tl;dr the monk was punished for his vanity and greed.
This is a well-known myth among Chinese people. It has been popular not only in China for thousands of years, but also in Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. If you know this mythical story, you will definitely be surprised by the story setting and scene setting of the game! (Real scenes, legendary statues, temple cultural relics really exist in China) Wukong’s main weapon (golden cudgel) weighs 6750 kilograms!
@SeeReax So the Kasaya is tied to two ppl, the Sage and the Bear Spirit. The Bear thought the Kasaya represented greed, but the Kasaya actually represented them successfully losing their attachments. The Bear mistook this for greed and burnt down the golden temples(same temple talked about in the beginning of the game). The young Sage spirit is a boss u missed in chapter one(u unlocked by ringing the three bells) once u fight him you'll get his side of the story(pay attention to dialog while fighting him.) Pls for future reference explore the entire area before u move on, there are multiple bosses and items u missed in the first part of the game, later in the game as you'll probably see later on u can come back to the area later. Completing the side stuff will help you with understanding the lore. (I'm typing this at 1:11:12 on the mark of the video so I don't forget) But yea, overall, double-check the areas before u leave. Yes, this game isn't open world; tho you should still try to explore everything before leaving, it's like dungeon/pokemon structured lvls.
That’s not it at all? The kasaya was tang monk’s kasaya, Elder Jinchi saw it and was instantly overcome by greed, he then lied saying he couldn’t properly saw it and asked to hold on to it for the night, wukong who is tang monk’s disciple said sure despite tang’s reluctance saying he’d take care of everything in the end. Then under the encouragement of the two yaogui monks (the fire wolf and purple poison guy) they plotted to kill Tang monk and keep the kasaya from themselves. Wukong learning the plan went and borrowed the fireproof mantle (hence the dialogue with the keeper after you get it) and encased tang monk with the mantle which then caused the fire to rebound and burn down the temple. The bear was his friend and when he came to save him he saw the kasaya and took it with him in greed as well, which then led to them hunting him down and taking it back. It’s basically all said in the portrait descriptions, that entire interaction with wukong jinchiq and tang monk was taken directly from it and them plotting to kill him with fire and it backfiring is also directly from the portrait from the two yaogui monk’s description. The bear wasn’t a part of the fire at all yet was overcome by greed all the same too, hence them both being displayed in the cutscene
Imma say it rn whoever is complaining about him talking can go play it themselves, you’re here for seereax’s reactions, gameplay, commentary and bower.
This. Stop trying to watch/play the game through him if they can't handle the commentary in their near non existent relationship with him. Play the game yourself or just watch a non commentary playthrough.
elder jinchi used to be a monk who met wukong and tang monk... he fell in to greed ... golden kasaya that tang monk had, he wanted to steal it and told the bear (his stupid disciple) and here we are
W Thumbnail❤🔥❤🔥 Btw I love how Seereax forgot he could turn into a golden beetle to fly up to meet the ranged enemies 1:47:39 [you're welcome for the backseat gaming]
Hey man, love your content, and I know you don’t appreciate backseat gaming, so I’m not sure if this counts, but there are some more hidden bosses in the first area if you want to try to check that out at a later date, I know you’re a completionist so I figure you would think that would be fun
Please someone tell him that if he fills the focus bar when he transforms into the wolf he can use a special attack after a dodge (the attack changes depending on the direction of the dodge)
Certain cutscenes take off headgear to show his face, regardless of what you're wearing. So if you want to wear a certain drip while fighting, it'll always remove it during important cutscenes anyway
not gonna lie seeing the Elden ring videos edited the way they were they make Dioen looking like a master gamer and explorer BUT THE AMOUNT OF SECRTS HE MISSED AND PLACES HE JUST DIDNT TRY TO EXPLORE AND ALL IN CHAPTER 1.
Seereak little advice Bro I've been watching your playtrough for a while now and there is a recurring problem in your gameplay. You complain quite often about "not seeing". And if it could be due to a camera problem or a massive opponent. Which happens quite often in Fromesoftware games. I noticed that you often put yourself in position so as not to see. In games as in sports in general you have to hold the middle of the field, the arena or the ring to dominate your opponent. You often run everywhere all around the ring which often places you against elements of the scenery. So you often lose runs because of this when you would only have to hold the center of the arena and wait for your opponent to put themselves in a favorable position for you. m^rmr when you avoid an AOE attack you fall back too much against the scenery. It's just a little advice otherwise you're perfect don't change anything I love your videos.
I know he aint gonna read this cuz this is more like a upload and dip type of channel. But Im sure anyone seeing you comment appreciates the advice, its a common error that a lot of pepole(myself included) often ignore. So thank you for taking the time to share :)
Also he dodges way too much, waste too much stamina. The other problem is the timing, he clearly knows how to predict the attacks but he is dodging too early and end up going face straight into the attacks. If he learns how to properly dodges and save his stamina, work on doing just what is necessary he might not just get more clean vision on the opens but he also will be able to make full usage of these oportunities winning the fights faster while also looking a lot more clean by not panicking rollling.
Read your abilities. I think you have special moves you can do after perfect dodging. When you perfect dodge you staff glows red. I think that is "seeing through" your opponent

I think it’s a really cool design to have the bear go immediately into its second phase if you use the fire attacks from your transformation on him.

How do you use the cicada form I remember he gets it early but recall it tell us how to use it again 😅
Mr. Seereax, this game punishes you for panic dodging. If you spam dodge, the 3rd dodge has a long recovery time.
That and idk who’s gonna tell him but using your focus point on the stupid jumping heavy is probably the worst possible thing you can do lol
nice seeing u continuing this
If anyone says they want a silent playthrough then go the hell somewhere else.
Why did bro need to comment this its not like this is gunna make an impact in the whole world 💀
Bro is doing spins on it
Bring in that xenoverse and charge that qui my boy!

Btw @seereax you can upgrade the weapon on the weapon craft option. I think you just need to click view weapon list
Hint for ending to the bear...missing three bells
Seereax keep talking. I enjoy the voice over
Think of your character like you are Naruto. The reincarnation of the sage of sixths paths.
The bear deadahh took me 4 rounds but the yellow wind sage is the hardest one I done fault so far I’m still fighting him 😂
The swole monk guy was a really cool boss fight i just wished it was more challenging it was too easy i did it with out magic too

Yeah, when he gets pinned by the camera he chooses to sit there instead of re positioning...not sure why tbh.
@@jubabutler yes i agree . poor camera management .

Helps you evade enemies and potentially certain bosses.
