Itβs always interesting to me how most reactors NEVER seem to pick up on the fact that Carmy is calming DOWN from his panic attack with thoughts of Sydney. The music starts playing forward when sheβs shown as well, with the lyrics, βYou will be mine, all the timeβ¦β playing. Interesting.
I feel you.
It's wild! It goes to show how their filmmakers are really putting a lot of subtext and sublminial messages that people won't catch until later in the season.
It's always weird when female reactors assume because Marcus likes Sydney, she must automatically like him back. In real life it doesn't matter how nice the guy is, if the woman isn't into you she's not into you. That happens all the time and Sydney clearly isn't into him like that. She opens up to Carmy about her mom and her dad, she's never even spoken to Marcus about anything not work related.
Uncle Jimmy with the great story and the reality check.β€
Great episode and reaction. Feel sorry for what Bartman went through. I tried to make a version of Sydney's omelet, but I had to use plantain chips, and I used a different kind of cheese (I forgot which one I used), but it was delicious! The chips added a nice crunch.
There is an excellent documentary about the Steve Bartman incident called "Catching Hell". Highly recommended.
