As coincidence would have it, just last weekend I painted a Land Raider myself, but for my Salamanders Marines largely based on your recipe for Salamanders using mostly Contrast paints. This meant priming the tank in black with a white zenithol and then covering all of it in Karandras Green. People say that Contrast paints don't work well for Vehicle but this is like the 6th space Marine tank I painted in that way (including a Land Raider Redeemer I did previously) and it actually works quite well and means that all my models look coherent. Another thing I did slightly differently was that during the priming process I didn't have the top panel as well as the hatch coverings glued on, and I left all of the treads separate as well which made it easier to prime and later paint those parts and only assemble them at the very end.
I love your videos so much. That marines face is just amazing! I painted my first ever face this week and if you don't look at the eyes too closely it is pretty good! Haha.😂 Keep up the good work.
@ThePaintingCoach if no one won that my guy just saying the painting coach center piece would look great in my ultramarine army lol I'm actually changing the scheme of the army cause I like hiw that blue transitioned thanks again for the amazing videos and quality explanation
Great tutorial! Thanks as always for the simple yet amazing paint schemes. Would this technique work okay with Custodes paint scheme (black undercoat with a gold spray on top? Also for the gradient effect are you using a can or an air brush?

Sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing! Would love to see some pics! Drop me a line on Instagram - same handle as here
Cracking stuff yet again, haven’t got a Landraider, but my son would love one for his SM army
Cheers 👍🏻
Love the weathering on this one!!! Great finish aswell
Cheers Dan
Cracking result as always! Hope you are liking you Rosemary and Co brushes 👍🏼
Cheers! Have used them for years now!
Sponge to highlight. That's a great idea. I assume it's easier than dry brushing with a paint brush.

Thanks!
Great model

Try brown under a gold, and then a white on top to get the gradient. I'm using cans for this
@@ThePaintingCoach amazing will do, thank you! 🙏 Would you advise a deeper or lighter brown?
Deeper - if you are in the UK, Hyrox Brown from colour forge is a good shout
@@ThePaintingCoach I am UK based yeah. Thanks for the advice as always bud. Will definitely give that a try 🙏🙌☺️
Superb 🔥🔥
Cheers dude
Does the dreadnought complain about any lack of vigor in your cleansing of his exterior?
Can't say it has!
@@ThePaintingCoachA missed opportunity then on the part of the devs.
For edge highlights, do you use retardant or any other additive? I find my brush dries too quickly when edge highlighting.
No I just think with a little water.
i finished a dark angel spartan assault tank but it looks a bit boring, what should i add?
Depends what you've already done?
Yea great just a few weeks late, after I bumbled my way through my landraider haha
Why only UK people can join? 😭😭😭
Greetings from Lübeck (northern Germany)
Greetings! It is to do with regional laws I am told
Kinda want to see this done for Dark Angels. Feels like there are not alot of modern guides for painting one up as Deathwing or just Generic DA
Putting doors in front of sponsons to accidentally vaporize disembarking passengers is so 40k..
No ta.....just a ugly box.
Really cool. 🦏
