He's not Daft Punk's guitarist. He played on several tracks for their album random access memories, but he is a session musician with credits on a ton of famous artists tracks.

everyone thats commented here has some opinion of rhythm guitarists to one degree or another, so i have 2 words for you all: CORY WONG no matter what your stance is, go watch some cory wong asap. the man is a genuine musical genius and has turned the art of rythm into being playable as lead. a true master of funk and feel.
It’s crazy to me how that line could work just as well as a bass. He’s really playing to the song, adding depth and texture, without caring out being in the spotlight
It’s all about being able to understand the song as whole and keeping it simple and catchy to keep it balanced, and believe me, it’s the hardest thing ever as a guitarist! This is real talent here 👍
Really beautiful touch and feel, not to mention beautiful playing inside the melody. There is so much going on here. The irony is so many guitar players can't even play this simple stuff, because of THAT feel. It's all in the right hand - so many shredders and can't even cop a basic funk feel if they tried. This is always way more impressive to me - from that Steve Lukather school for sure.
I love the color of his guitar! Usually people have a prs with a stained maple flame top, but solid colors are my favorite. Not flashy, just all business.
............You know your a Legend guitarist........when you listen to a New Artist have a sample guitar part you like playing on the radio.....then within 5 seconds you realize......hey wait a minute that's Me....🤣🤣🤣
The Weeknd should really implement more guitar into his music records. Infact he often use band, and especially a bit of guitar solo in live performance. I think he likes some guitar action.
“….. Wait a minute, that’s me! “ 😂😂😂
Legend
What a moment that must be for an artist. 😅
@@antonioborrego5718 yea so cool! ..must be one of the best forms of flattery
He really felt that coming.

U. Know??!!
