I do believe Chick Corea is the most rhythmically accurate pianist there is, and probably has ever been.

Chick corea has an unbelievable sense of rhythm but I also do believe Bill Evans and McCoy Tyner are of that caliber as well

@@longfade There’s a time and place for everything. If you’re not content here, perhaps go check out some early 70s Circle, with Chick, trio and quartet.
It doesn't get any better than the Chick Corea Akoustic Band with John Patitucci and Dave Weckl, they are one of the greatest piano trios on the planet and they sound as good if not better than they did 30 plus years ago. What an amazing collection of musicians, love these guys so much.
I like Chick with Roy Haynes better when it comes to straight ahead. Fusion either Gadd or Weckl but especially '80s Weckl that shit fucking RIPPED!
Unfortunately they sound less good than 30 years ago, but that's normal.. They can't reach the "Alive" performance record, like perfection in every way, but no one can though.

Think about what people had to do to see such playing just 20, 30, 40 years ago. Thank you so much for uploading these performances.
Although playing some hard-core stuff, the band has certain comfort in them, and that is so pleasing.
This man "Chick" was an ear opening revelation to music when I was 13. I'm now 43 and my daughters know every song from this trio 🎵 . RIP Maestro🙏🏼

Man seriously, none of us hobby pianists will ever catch up with the beast that is chic. Hes the ultragenius and hes so chill.
He has been doing this for over 50 years... It ain't no hobby with him. If you play professionally for 50 plus years you could hang with him.

What do you mean by "catch up"? It's about creativity, it's not something one can "catch up" on.
Chick Corea could really swing so inventively and excitingly smooth.

Chick's piano trios don't get enough recognition that other piano trios do; I think only because the other trios stay together a whole lot longer. But Chick's piano trios, imho, are among his greatest achievements and contributions to jazz. Just think: Miroslav and Roy, John and Dave, Eddie and Steve, and now Christian and Brian. So varied and the musicianship is just outstanding. I especially love Chick's rapport with his drummers. Some of the stuff he's done with Roy is just uncanny.
I cannot agree with you more. As you mentioned all those trios, the pictures and sounds came to mind, truly outstanding. There is something though about this trio that is very special and inimitable. Probably it is the years together through akoustic and electric bands. Of course, it is all highly subjective, but to me, nothing beats this:

I think this is one of the first tunes I heard where the bass played the melody along with the piano. I didn't know that was possible, so I thought it must have been some weird synthesizer effect. I would love to hear lots more from Alice!

Very nice performance - wow.
Three amazing musicians; however Dave Weckl swings the hell out of it. I remember him playing w/ Chick at the Freejazz festival in Rio de Janeiro, in the 80s, and since then his playing has changed significantly. Amazing how he keeps getting better and better.
