Yo I need some help I’ve just got the normal instrument cluster (not extended) and I’ve been told I need a most optic cable run from head unit to the cluster but the cluster has no connection point as it’s not extended just a regular one what do I do ?

Such a big difference! Yours would be better as it's the 6wb, have a look at my channel I've made some videos on my 4 series which would defo help you out
I did this too and it looks sick but only thing that sucks is that I can’t use cruise control anymore
thats a shame there was defo a mistake in the coding which can be rectified

With you it'll be a direct fit as your car will have the most cable installed, you'll just need to get the cluster virginized and coded to the car

Hey mate, it's the second time for me so was straight forward in terms of changing but just make sure you have someone that can code the system

Unfortunately not these are for f2x cars for f3x the big upgrade would be a 6wb digital cluster they can cost from £600 -£900 then if its not new it'll need virginising and all cluster need coding

You bought the non extended cluster, the easy and quickest way to tell if it's the extended like mine is count how many needles there are if it's 3 you've got the right one if there's 4 like yours it's the wrong one

Hi, what headunit did you replace for compatibility with your 6WA cluster? I can see it's still an ID4, but with navigation greyed out, so I'm assuming you've not opted for an emulator? Many thanks!
I went with a business nav unit (id4) at the time I never had the emulator in as I thought it was broken but I tried it 2 days ago and it worked so the navigation is fully functional
@@MickyleMcgowan Cool! Was it an NBT EVO unit or just NBT? Wondering if you're planning on the ID5/6 conversion/upgrade for CarPlay if you've got the EVO unit?
It's a nbt business nav (entrynav) I was planning on doing so but it makes no sense cost wise and I want android auto, I've taken delivery of a Linux carplay/android auto unit so I'll be making a video on that soon
How you got that big speedmeter there? Normally there would be many things like you milage etc...
With the lci-2 cluster they changed it to this layout as standard

No it wouldn't matter the cluster can be used for both
Hi Bro. Is the color of the needle from white to red can be changed via coding or is it sport mode???
not sure if you can alter it via coding but the needles turn red once your headlights come on

Do you have to mileage correct it?
If it's from another car then yeah but thats what virginising the cluster is, it'll set the cluster to 0 miles and once coded it automatically picks up your miles
