I think Barry puts the writing style (and other details) into a nutshell here. Thanks for this post.

Stays with you always and shows that the individual and free mind is more powerful than any adversity and can topple the walls of injustice.

I know this comment was made 12 years ago, but you must've been seriously good at reading at such a young age.

Can't wait to read this biography on Larsson. I really hope Forshaw hasn't anthologised what's there on the internet about Larsson. Let's see if this biographer has uncovered new information. Let's wait and see!

to think that some steep steps may have robbed us of what could have been ten brilliant works of art.

The male lead in the book is everything that Stieg Larsson wishes he was and does all the things Stieg wishes he could do!

I have to admit the ending of the third book left a sour taste in my mouth knowing I would probably never know what became of Lisbeth's and Mikael's relationship which in itself was a cornerstone of the entire series. I would give anything to get a glimpse of the outline for all 10 books to see where the story would go. Leaving it at "And she let him back into her life" puts a major damper on the entire story. Here's hoping his partner finishes the fourth like she claims she can.

They are truly wonderfull, I do think Eve should have the rights to finish and publish book 4 tho, he was already half way through it and they both talked and partially worked on the books together so I don't see the problem I'm not sure about her writing subsequent millennium books after 4 but I defiantly think she should finish 4

About them being “hard to read” I guess at times things tend to get a little repetitive, but I think that’s majorly due to the many perspectives of the books (specially second and third). Nonetheless, he always find way to make this “repetitiveness” very reward in many ways.
Btw, I’ve just finished the trilogy five minutes ago and I’m in love with them!!

I have seen the the first one (cant comment on the book),but I think it was overrated. There is a constant underlying barrage of extreme feminism being thrown at you.Granted probably influenced by Swedens take on it. Sweden has a pretty extremist view on feminism, a little biased and often discriminating. The whole time it just seems like there is a constant "men are bad" tone. It did turn me off it a little because the lead character is just as immoral in aspects but never portrayed as such
