- Welcome to Episode 96 of Rover! Today I am at Bath Spa located on the Great Western Main Line and junction for the Wessex Main Line where services are seen by Great Western Railway only.
Bath Spa immediately strikes me as a piece of architectural genius, the station is located on a viaduct and looks amazing when you look over at the city in the backdrop upon departure as well as the view over the city centre. The station is on a big curve and proved difficult when clearing IETs to work around here. The trains here were great and the station had a good few surprises and impressed me on once again, a great visit!

Nice capture of 43189 and 43197. Fun little fact about 43189 is that it used to carry a name plate. "Railway Heritage Trust". They must of removed it while repainting it.
Great video as always! :)
They removed it as most of the HST power cars are leaving so nameplates are being sold off I think.
Ah, ok. That makes sense.
HSTs are now a rare sight at Bath now, very sad.
like all things, at first we will all miss the hst’s but over time the IET’s will grow on us
what will take over the from the 158s on the portsmouth to cardiff route?
5 car services operated by a Class 166 with a Class 165.
Nice when’s that meant to happen?
What was that HST doing that you were on about
