I call foul there was no defensive fire from the bombers this was just seal clubbing alot of you would have been chewed up if the bombers could fire back.
May I suggest that maybe next mass campaign you guys do, each flight take off together in a certain order and have a pre-determined altitude to climb to before starting to orbit so they can establish stable flight? Also having a designated ground coordinator that releases each flight to start taxi after the previous get airborne could be helpful as well. Plus a lot of these pilots could really use more time on tail-draggers.
GR could really use some training days. Have all the guys get together and run through Chuck's guide and get everyone to follow the proper procedures for takeoff, weapons usage, systems, etc. instead of just hopping in a plane and winging it on takeoff.
Well done, but you know in real life the B-17s would have had their gun turrets manned. It was quite hilarious watching on the tac view just how far off course SIMBA went. Isn't that dude always getting lost? You should put him through remedial training.

Attacking American heavies from behind was very dangerous and avoided by Luftwaffe pilots because return fire was most effective against enemies approaching from that direction. Why aren’t the bombers shooting back?
Great that after the grinding terror of the transit there was a surprise (semi) duck shoot to finish. Agree that the Mosquitoes seemed very impressive Bomber killers. Another great video 👍🏻

Didn’t see much from the rear gunners on the B-17’s, kinda weird. You guys were getting too close not to be shot at. Obviously you were shot at, per the condition of the plane upon landing for Cap. Just not as much as I expected.
Yeah very strange. There should have been tracers from all the forts. Sliding in slow and laying into them 2-3 seconds should have been absolute suicide. Still, can’t imagine this isn’t damn close to what the real thing was like.
Is there anyway you can model mini guns instead of .50 cals? I always thought those would be much better for air defense, what you lose in lunch you gain in rounds sent and is like aiming a garden hose.
Runway handling is so hit and miss, why not just spawn in in the air? Take off is the most unrealistic part of your, otherwise "spot on", vids and impacts my, the most important person on the internet, enjoyment. Good vid though, thanks lads.

This word you will hear mispronounced within the communication inbetween the attacking Flugzeugführers at 50:02 - 50:06 min. It is HORRIDO! As pronounced here, it would have to be written HORIDO. In German, sadly a language of many irregularities, a double consonant does in most cases indicate to pronounce the syllables previous to and following it, to be pronounced ed a tad quicker. (Double vocals however in all cases lenghten the pronounciation.) "Horrido!" is one of those irregularities. The syllables HOR-RI should be spoken a tad quicker, just at the speed as in "horri-fic" or "horri-ble". The syllable DO in Horrido is spoken, the letter D being emphasised, as if it contained a second, invisible "O" which does lenghten the vocals pronounciation. - HORRIDOO -. What does Horrido mean and what is its origin? Its roots are in, you may already had a guess, the traditional custom of hunting. Marksmen's clubs, so called "Schützenvereine" stick to it still today on festival occasions. After centuries of use in hunting and marksmen's clubs, it got firmly established in military use by "Kurfürst Friedrich-Wilhelm von Brandenburg" in the early 1630s. It became common as a salute inbetween individual soldiers of all ranks. On festivities, as a toast by a single person, while all others around him did answer his "Horrido!" exclaiming a triple "Jo-Ho!" at once. As a individual salute it ceased to be used in the land army at least with the Reichswehr, more likely even before WW1. Now coming to the Luftwaffe of WW1 and WW2: The Luftwaffe adopted the "toast" version for festivities in the respective messes before WW1 already and kept doing so until present days. Another ancient use of "Horrido!" was in horseback hunting, all hunters exclaiming it at once and loudly as a starting signal of the hunt. When radio communications evolution allowed every single aircraft to be equipped with, the Jagdflieger and Nachtjäger units leaders, airborn and about to order the attack to start, radioed for example: "ACHTUNG! - an alle - HORRIDO!" to Flugzeugführers they commanded. The space around that bomber formation would be consisting mostly of hot lead and burnt gun powder. There would also be a little oxygen and what not.

I saw no tracer fire from the belly gunners, no fire from the waist gunners. It must be a glitch.
