The main goddesse’s chest sizes are based on their processing power. The Xbox 360 was the most powerful, the PS3 was the most balanced, the wii was “underpowered,” and the Sega Neptune was never released.
Why do I know that?
Also i think it was stated that the reason Uni's chest gets smaller when she transforms is based on the newer PSP models getting smaller with each new iteration.
oh man, when i was told about this fact it was a different way that their chest's were based on their exclusive games age (older = larger), xbox with gears of war and halo like games being adult rated games for vert, Playstation with a mix of uncharted for more adult games and little big planet for younger audiences striking a medium balance and nintendo with obviously their main kid friendly exclusives all around with the mario series etc for blanc and reading the way you learned it sounds a lot simpler and better but it's cool that it can really work either way lmao
And unis gets smaller when she goes HDD because Sony made the PSP worse with newer models (PSP go removed UMDs and PSP street removed WiFi and stereo sound) wonder if there was a ps4 or Xbox one CPU if it would get bigger in HDD?
Silica (slight spoilers)
In Megadimension the main goddesses have next forms after their HDD transformations, which are based on next gen consoles including the PS4 and Xbox One.
........I just assumed that Vert had such a large chest was because she's based on an American console. Stereotypes and all that.
2:37 lol I would not be surprised to find out if some critics do not even play the games they review.
3:17 "the song that plays whenever you're grinding"
more accurate words have rarely been said
Litte fact, Uzume's full name can be translated to light of heaven, while Kurome's (Dark Uzume) full name can be translated to darkness of hell.
I found another example of a character costume changing their idle animation. In Re;Birth2 if Ram equips the Moon Robe, she'll have both her arms out to her side rather than holding one up. Strangely, this doesn't apply to Rom with her Sunny Robe. That along with the fact that it's such a minor change makes me think it's some kind of glitch but worth noting even so.
I thought it was funny, but I didn't see anyone else make this assumption. Adult nep (who I like to call teen nep) the dimension jumper seems like they wanted the Sega brand that continued on without the consoles. She is what Sega is now with other interests and and more grown up. I kinda think that they should make a game series as her as the protag. She doesn't have an HDD form because she doesn't have a console anymore. But she's still fun and able to break the forth wall , pointing out that their still in the game industry.
Neptune’s Japanese VA Rie Tanaka also said that Adult Nep has the personality of a teenager in comparison to the smaller/main Nep. I would also agree that Adult Nep should have the spotlight as the protagonist for later games as she was still a bada$$ during combat, even with Plutia as the Goddess of Planeptune in her dimension.😊💜
Uni's current English voice actor is in a relationship with a youtuber called "The TwitGamer" who has many letsplays/walkthroughs of the Neptunia games. Not sure if that counts as trivia, but its something
Grape Juice Is that true or are you just pulling that out of your ass?!
It's true, if you want supporting evidence watch some of his current Megadimension Neptunia VIIR videos, it'd be best to watch during Noire's part because it becomes most notable there ruclips.net/channel/UC8147TpIC-084l3mgOvpmpA
@hypershock0 storm I can confirm this is (and was 8 months ago) true. To add to the 'Trivia' of it! We met basically because of Neptunia. One of the first videos she found while looking for videos featuring her voice work was one of my Neptunia ones. We eventually started speaking and it grew from there. So yeah... no Neptunia... no relationship.
(This was a shock to see when scrolling down in the comments lol)
@@TheTwitGamer And it is a shock to see your reply too lol
@@TheTwitGameryou have been bless...good luck. :D
Neptunia was made by two female game developers.
I would also be interested if that is the same for Dragon's Crown.
At university, I made a point that both Neptunia and Dragon's Crown have strong female protagonists back at the time to defend the games from being attacked by those SJWs.
Even mentioned that Bayonetta was also made by a female game developer.
"Internalized Misogyny"
The trope is called cultural dissidence. The CPU's aka Goddesses are basically magical girls in all but name. But even the creator of Sailor moon was a Japanese feminist who made a Sentai Manga out of magical girls and it was basically a sequel to Sailor V where the magical girl is basically Kamen Rider but in a Sailor Suit and a mask. The reason they fight in high heels of varying degrees is because the creator loved shoes and loved drawing them. The reason American feminists tend to complain is that the concept is seen differently here then in Japan. Women there are fine having their lead girls dress in a feminine fashion and have cute swimsuit dlc because there also still badass. There is still a generation of feminists who have a Ax to grind with the kind of girls who probably picked on them when they were younger. There is a reason why people resist adding cheerleaders to the title code for school sports and student athlete rights.
The SJW thing is really a strawman argument where people have made up a fictional character that they shove people they disagree with in to.
Well, the artist is a female but not really a developer. Producers may or may not be heavily involved with the process of the development but they likely do have important decisions in it.
This is one trivia I know no one noticed, one of the skills of Uni is called NGP, you know what NGP is right? it was the codename of the Vita, infamously named "No games portable" by haters haha
Androzz Senpai I Noticed that lol the PSVita has a more common codename of "psp2" however
There's also a skill called "dolce" something dolce being the codename for PSTV
you got me playing neptunia again my nep addication back jk lol
LazyGeekgamer HD is dead channel
Nep nep
Some more trivia Nepetune is a kangaroo 🍮
All of the neptunia games are like 59$ on steam for all of them rn
Ashinigami Rises the whole series is in Steam for like $60 until their summer sale is over
macalao dm yeah that's why I said right now because it's not permanent just a sale
Minus the Idol one.
KnightKiller1000 I am pretty sure that was never ported to pc so the complete collection that got ported to pc
minus the DLC... But, I don't know if that's even...
0:42 Finding out about this now made me love this series EVEN MORE now, thank you.
3:18 Too true XD. I was grinding that phoenix for the killachine fight.
Uni's standard "rifle" is the MG42
Not gonna lie, I First thought it was a mg15 instead because of the barrel
I think with the higher quality of the models in VIIR it would be cool if they went back to using them in the cutscenes
Uzume's theme song in Neptunia VII is similar to Ky Kiske's theme from Guilty Gear Xrd. I've made a video about that if you're interested.
12 - Dark Uzume is a reference to unreleased "Blackbelt" version of Dreamcast
You seem to have forgotten the most important fact my good sir, nepgear is bes girl.
I figured it was best to leave out the most obvious facts
I see, only get the obscure ones out there.
Conkergox 98 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬 YOU! I do not forget.
AlucardGaming amen
YellowSuperNintendo That's not how you spell Plutia.😒
2:45 HOLY SHIT DUDE! YOU KEEP MAKING THIS BETTER AND BETTER!
I don't know if someone already put this facts:
In the animation, Uni has a pet bandicoot who wears blue shorts named Clutter/Cratchie. This is likely a subtle reference to the Crash Bandicoot video game series, which was originally exclusive to the original Sony Playstation.
Both Uni's English and Japanese voice actor did the voice for Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. There are multiple references made to this fact in the series. In Mk-II, one of Nisa's chirper events is an exact rendition of the infamous "mami mogu mogu" scene in Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica episode 3, and Uni plays the role of Miki Sayaka in it. In Victory, there is a quest named "A Real Idiot" by a client called "Uni Sound-alike", who requests the player to hunt monsters called "Cuberial", Kyuubey look-alike monsters (the quest details expand this reference further).
She is based on the PlayStation Portable, Sony's first handheld portable gaming console in the PlayStation brand.
In the PS VITA version of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1's true ending in the "player thanking" part, she says "you are holding...uh...me, you know...". This implies that she also somewhat represents the PS VITA albeit being originally based on the PSP.
Her smaller bust size in HDD form may reference how the PSP Go is much smaller than the normal PSP models.
Ram and Rom are both based on a Nintendo DS. Because they are twins, it can be assumed that they resemble the DS' dual screen. The rectangles on their hats in their default outfit actually represent the screen icons from the DS logo.
The twins are maybe influenced by Nana and Popo from Ice Climbers (a nintendo game) based on the colors.
This is all that i can remember for now
And regarding Nisa's Madoka Magica chirper event, ironically both Nisa and Mami are voiced by the same Japanese VA.
The original ds also had blue and pink colors along with some other ones (rom and ram’s colors could also be a reference to this)
Here is another interesting one.
Idea Factory is the same company that made Mars of Destruction.
Yes, that Mars of Destruction.
I just finished up with rebirth 2, playing 3 now definitely liking the series thanks for the intro guide
1:13 Now this 3D cutscenes in Virtual Stars
For the first one, not only are the characters and games basically made by women, but they do the fan service on purpose. For an actual reason. Since the whole series is one huge reference after another, the fan service is specifically making fun of how "less clothing = stronger" is a weird RPG thing.
Also did you know that the first game was pretty much the game Trinity Universe? Trinity Universe came out first, and was also made by Idea Factory and published in the US by NIS America, just like the first nep game. Both games use literally identical mechanics. Such as the "search" mechanic that Iffy uses, where one of the buttons makes her raise her hand to scan the area for hidden items. Not only is that the exact mechanic in TU as it is in Nep, but it's 100% the exact same animation and everything.
Also, I'm really jealous of your collection....I have somewhat of a large shrine like collection as well, but I'm still missing quite a bit.
I like the random facts and comparisons of the artworks of the games
Personally I loved mk2 3d scenes they add a lot of personality (like blanc's randomly reading a book out of nowhere or Nisa posing)
The probably most unknown Neptunia fact:
A little Bug that many don't know about is in Rebirth that you go and equip a ribbon for Vert then back out of the pause menu and then go back to the equip screen and equip for example her shades she then will wear both the ribbon and shades. There are a few neat combinations you can do with it.
Tosmasta00 Other Fact Underrated:Is You Can Defeat A Boss who is programmed to Defeat You (I Mean The First Encounter with CFW Magic, Because When I Fight Her (first Encounter) I Just Take A Quarter Of The HP and I Think You Can Take At Least The Half Of Her HP and the other fact Is I Don't Really Know If She Fits With Your Level (I Still Don't Try It)
I think that was implemented for ng+ reasons. Since you can be insanely overlevelled in ng+, having an unbeatable boss that cannot die, but also only does 1 damage to you per turn, when you have 3 characters with 80k hp each would be kind of dumb.
And making those bosses completely unbeatable by giving them the highest numerical stats possible takes away from first-time playthroughs (You know you're supposed to beat that boss eventually)
Now that I got the corrections out of the way, I'd like to share some opinions of some of those facts as well:
No. 3) Unlike the great majority of the fans, I actually liked the 3D models used in the VN dialogue in mk2, it was more true to the game's graphical environment and gave more freedom of movement to the characters (like Nepgear happily waving when someone leaves) (although there were some details that were weird for me, like when Blanc is mad and the rage wrinkle thing appears _under_ her eye instead of around her forehead or her hat). Although the year was still 2011, when the 3D models were remarkably worse and couldn't do justice to the 2D base artworks (like the Atelier series), and it's probably still like this until now among CH/IF games, and probably because of the fact that PS3 games were difficult to program. Now it's visible that the modeling quality is getting somewhat better, as seen in VIIR.
And I learned that Neptunia 1 and mk2's character models that weren't newcomers (IF, Compa, 5pb., Vert/Green Heart, Blanc/White Heart, Noire/Black Heart and Neptune/Purple Heart) had better modeling quality than the ones from Victory onwards, like having more polygons and such (might be the reason why some of their weapon designs and usage have changed too). It might be because they were seeking for better performance, but the frame rate in Victory kept the same, so it kinda blocks the supposition. Although the performance of the Re;Birth games (the original Vita versions, BTW) were considerably better, it might be due to FELISTELLA's better optimization.
No. 12) I think that it's very interesting and rewarding that a predominantly Japanese franchise references situations of the video game industry overseas.
No. 17) And the scene that YSN just brought up just makes it even funnier, becasuse everyone struggles to pronounce Neptune's name right and at the same time the same everyone easily pronounces Uzume Tennōboshi's name, when in English it should be the opposite. _IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AT ALL._
No. 18) You all can judge me as much as you want, I actually liked NEXT Purple's hair details on the IFI cover.
This also leads us to yet another trivia: Did you know that Megadimension Neptunia VIIR is the first game of the Neptunia series, ever since Idea Factory handled the localization, to have its Western box art completely different of the original Japanese box art? (Even that we're in 2018, amidst the information era, when practically everyone gets easily aware of any changes?)
So, technically, we got some switchings going on: The Japanese artwork for the regular game cover (the one with features Zero Dimension's Neptune) is on the Western Limited Edition, and the Japanese artwork for the Memorial Edition (name of the Japanese special edition of the game) of the game (the one with features NEXT Purple) is on the Western regular game cover (with the hair alterations that YSN just pointed out).
there were a few facts that i didn't know which is suprising for me because i consider myself to be an expert
keep up the great work on covering the nep games

Hey it's my Facebook friend
no wonder i loved the soundtrack so much, the legend uematsu made it.
I've always enjoy some interesting trivia, especially if it's something I enjoy like Hyperdimension.
D'pad hairpins are wonderful 👌
Okay, I really got hyped because this was going to be another interesting YSN vídeo (and I arrived a little too early, now it's about 11 hours after this vídeo was posted), it has many interesting information but then it got to the point that I felt that I _needed_ to correct you at so many wrong and misplaced information in this video. Yes, you said that in the previous videos that you're just a human, and it's for pointing any mistakes what the comment section is for, so here I go:
No. 8) It's kinda embarassing (and rewarding at the same time) to show that might know more of Neptunia BGMs than anyone (only from the main games and some Tamsoft games, so far), or that I am quite a video game music _otaku_ and an aspiring composer, but let's go:
*•Massive corrective alteration update (Sep 12, 2018)•*
Starting with VII, correct, "宿命の邂逅/ENCOUNTER OF DESTINY" is from Earthbound Papas, but was not exactly composed by Nobuo Uematsu, but by Tsutomu Narita (also member of Earthbound Papas, according to VGMdb), at least according to the credits at the soundtrack disc covers. Although there is already actually a song composed by Nobuo Uematsu (and arranged by Tsutomu Narita) in Neptunia VII, which is "MEGADIMENSION NEPTUNIA VII: MAIN THEME", the title screen theme.
Going back to Victory, I'm pretty sure that "One Two Three" (A.K.A, the infamous grinding song) was made by Kenji Kaneko, which seems to be the _traditional_ composer of CH/IF games (for reference, he did the entire Neptunia OG and mk2's soundtrack, and Records of Agarest War and Trinity Universe is some of his pre-Neptunia works), mostly because it have his usual musical style, sorta "girlish" techno, violin lead (which is present in various themes of Victory in particular) and lead melodies that seems to be off-track (characteristic of almost all of Kaneko's compositions, which is kinda funny).
And still in Victory, the remaining one you got absolutely right, Nobuo Uematsu _indeed_ composed Plutia's theme. Actually, he owns the melodies of probably all the Earthbound Papas tunes in Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, here's the list of four _of_ the themes they worked, according to the very ending credits of the game:
Delight of the Victors/Victor's Delight (Title Screen)
Composition: Nobuo Uematsu, Arrangement: Tsutomu Narita
パープルハートのテーマ/Purple Heart's Theme (Event Battle Theme)
Composition: Nobuo Uematsu, Arrangement: Yoshitaka Hirota
プルルートのテーマ/Plutia's Theme
Composition: Nobuo Uematsu, Arrangement: Tsutomu Narita
七賢人バトル/Seven Sages Battle
Composition: Nobuo Uematsu, Arrangement: Michio Okamiya
Still in this subject, I'm almost sure that there was a kind of collaboration between Kenji Kaneko and Earthbound Papas in some of the themes, where a blend of Kaneko's violins, synths and off-track lead characteristic and Earthbound Papas' heavy and well made rock arrangements are present, such as Noire and Yellow Heart's themes, and _maybe_ Nepgear and Uni's themes.
And there is another trivia about Neptunia Victory's soundtrack: Another well-known composer that worked on it was Kenji Ito. He's a huge name among RPG soundtrack composers in Japan, most known from the SaGa series, especially the Romancing SaGa trilogy. Similarly to Earthbound Papas, he was also credited under four themes: "The Apostles of Fear" (Boss Theme 1), "The Raging Waves of Destiny/The Tides of Destiny" (Boss Theme 2), "Prelude to a Fight/Prelude to Battle" (True Ending's Final Battle Theme) and "Gamindustry/Gamindustri" (World Map).
"The Apostles of Fear" in particular, while is one of my favorite themes of the game, clearly carries the SaGa-esque feel with it, it's so similar to "Tread on Flowers" from SaGa: Scarlet Grace (music that I coincidentally discovered two or three days before I posted this comment), or "Surrounded" from SaGa 2: GODDESSES OF DESTINY, the melodic style, the drums, the bassline, the lead synth, the lead strings, it's the same style, which hasn't changed in years.
(Fun fact inside a fun fact!: Kenji Ito also was part of the first Neptunia game, being the composer of the intro theme, "Ryūsei no Bifröst". The arrangement of the melody was Hideyuki Kobayashi's task and nao did the vocals)
With this information, I think people might have an idea of why some of these certain themes were out of Neptunia Re;Birth 1's BGMs (that consists in almost the entire Victory's BGMs and some mk2's battle themes) and both Western and Japanese original soundtrack CDs of Neptunia Victory, where just Kaneko is credited for the sound work.
No. 9) Sorry, but wrong jingle. This is actually the Dragon Quest series' level up jingle.
And wrong game as well, because Nep _ACTUALLY_ sing the Final Fantasy victory fanfare when leveling up in Neptunia Mk2. And someone actually made a video with this: watch?v=H32QKzrGkY0
No. 14) It's not quite a correction, but actually _almost_ everyone else has a deeper voice when transforming, well, at least remembering Nepgear (both English and Japanese), Blanc (also both), Ram, Rom and, y'know, the yellow brat.
Still, correcting you like this... It's a little embarassing, but it was something I had to do on impulse, I think that I choose a good time of my life to get into the Neptunia (and SaGa) mood right now
No worries, thanks for the corrections, especially with the soundtrack. I listened to the Dragon Quest Level up music and you’re right it does sound like it. I thought they purposely changed some notes around for comedic effect, as if Neptune just sang it kind of wonky but I guess that was a reference that went straight over my head.
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your thanks, and I commented this long because I really like to give a helping hand to everybody I think it need it, and I am 100% in favor of informative, interesting and specific comments.
Also, someone pointed the DQ fanfare in the comments before me, so I don't need full credits for the correction
LOVE this series! 😍
Wait... THE Nobuo Uematsu composed music for this series?! Been wanting to try this series for a while but that might have been what's sold me now! Good video btw
Robert Maurice He composed a good bit of it, yes. And it's really good. Especially considering that Neptunia is more or less a parody series.
I always thought Kenji Kaneko made most of the music in Neptunia since the first game
Pretty sure the Unique animation is more or less a glitch as it's not unique, It's Nepgears Idle animation. It's either a glitch or something was likely an issue with the animation in that costume so they made her just copy NepG's
In Megadimension neptunia vll S-sha starts humming the victory theme from final fantasy Vll
What I am about to say is more of a Madoka Magica fact, but it has a lot to do with Neptunia. The main five of Madoka Magica all share English VAs with Neptunia characters: Madoka and Nepgear, Homura and Compa, Sayaka and Uni, Mami and Rom, Kyoko and Cave.
Another interesting fun fact about Uzume is that her name derives from the japanese word for "spiral", and the Dreamcast logo is a spiral :p
10/10 mind blown 🤯
You know, I find it appropriate that Iris Heart has a sadistic personality considering some of the platformer games on the Genesis like Chakan, Tale Spin and a few others were just plain relentless.
1:42 Holy fuck neptunia predicted Fortnite flossing
Something that I like about the Neptunia series, is that is not meant to be taken serious (of course it has some serious moments, but most of time is not meant to be taken serious), the big amount of fanservice dosen't bother me because of this exact reason. I think that is more like sexualization (which dosen't bother me for the already explained reasons) and not objectification.
Ironically, this is one reason of why I like the Bayonetta series as well.
Thanks!
Maybe its just becausr I started off with mk2 but I actually really liked the models it used for the cut scenes
I agree, it might not be the best mo-cap, but I found it nice to see them in motion
damn, that fish living the dream
Also, Dark Uzume’s main color scheme is based off the Sega Sports version, which has an all black color scheme, much like Kurome’s design
Does anyone know other anime/clips where Kobayashi Yu's drawings come up? Would love to see a compilation of that.
Would like to see Dengekiko and Famitsu get their own game
I wouldn't mind that. I think they're fun characters
YellowSuperNintendo Oh good I'm not the online one lol
dengekiko was my favorite in neptunia U
I learned something today.
Doesn't Uni's chest size just stay the same when she transforms into CPU mode, rather than decrease? I could be remembering it wrong, but isn't it hinted at that she usually pads her bra, but the padding isn't transferred over when she enters CPU mode?
The padding thing made me a little unsure at first, but official literature (art books, character profiles, etc.) list a 2cm reduction. In fact she's actually slightly "littler" in every dimension after transforming.
hyperdimensionneptunia.wikia.com/wiki/File:Uni_Chart.png
hyperdimensionneptunia.wikia.com/wiki/File:Uni_size_list.PNG
Thanks for the clarification. That's cute. I think I like Uni even more now.
About the padding, that was Nepgear's guess when she noticed Uni's chest size get smaller when transformed. However, it's confirmed that Nepgear's guess is simply wrong, and Uni's chest size is actually smaller when transformed.
@@a.y.102 her and Blanc bond over the franchise being so mean to them in the bust department.
NEP NEP!
2:59 music of someone about to get abused
I think those cover arts are done quite tastefully. It doesn't reach the point of being annoying, but it is pointless because they aren't hiding anything risque. (The logo themselves are larger than the JP counterparts, probably because of how our alphabet is hard to read when it gets too small.)
fun fact for people mispronouncing Neptune's name: The katakana used for Neptune's name is different from how Neptune is normally written in katakana.
Neptune in normal katakana: ネプテューン
Neptune's name in the series: ネプテューヌ
Im currently on rebirth 3, but ive put my playing on hiatus, while I wait for VIIR to be announced for pc, as i want to play that rather than the og VII. i mean I already own VII on ps4 and pc, and don't wanna buy VIIR twice so im just waiting for pc.
I'm not too sure about the humming of the level up.. sounds more like the Dragon Quest's level up jingle
5:07
*Wow uni where your boobs go*
Pure comedy gold
I have to get back to the spin offs. Been Nepless for a bit. Gaming wise.
I need to play these games
It really is a great game series. During the Steam Winter sale, I think you can get all the games for 30-40 bucks, including the spin-offs! Anyway I think it’s best to play on PC for that reason alone, but it’s your choice
Isn't Neptune humming Dragon Quests level up theme?
NOBUO UEMATSU MADE SONGS FOR THIS SERIES!?!?
The reason why the cover art is censored I'm pretty sure has something to do with regulation shit because uwu the game might be next to a kids game in the stores or sm shit like that. I think they can get around it with reversible covers.
Coool.
5:01 uni boobs size decrease was because the 1st idea of MK2 was that the cpu candidates would transform into lolis in HDD form , they got a few models of that in some art books. rom and ram would stay the same but uni and gear would be a little smallers with less boobs.
Then in the actual game there is an even with nepgear asking uni about that fact and thinking if uni actually uses pads in her normal form.
another thing about the art books , in the last few pages there was a concept of adult neptune from victory and VII the same clothes and same hair but without colors , and also a nepgear with the same color palettes that adult nep had.
The only bad thing about Umio being playable is that there's not more like him (playable guys, not weird Saitama-faced fish with sexy legs).
I think the censorship on the covers makes sense. If you own a game store and a mom with her 8 year old sees one of those covers, she might ask for it to be obscured, and then the game won't sell. Keep in mind I'm one of those guys who hates censorship in game, but for covers I can see a reason to do so.
I have seen kids in stores walk by some really graphic horror games. They dont care about that at all.
S I know it doesn't make sense, but a lot of Americans get more upset about nudity over violence. It's stupid, but it happens.
I'm pretty sure there's actually some regulation exactly like that forgot the details.. You can get around it by using flip covers xD
can i just point out he is farming tokimeki sisters the item need to look up a carectors skirt
this legend
the only game i reconise is rebirth 1 as thats what im currently playing through
I can answer who there still censoring for. It's the retailers mainly Walmart and other major big box stores. But especially Wal-Mart who has litterly banned products because they object to the content put on the cover art of a product. Wal-Mart haveing so much buying power can literally dictate what sells well. Some companies have printed special Wal-Mart sku versions with censored cover art. Neptunia has only been published by very small publishers in the US NISA and IFI don't have the resources to print a uncensored English cover and a Wal-Mart cover so they make the art store safe.
3:35 OH DAMN! DID NEPGEAR JUST DAB!?!?!?
Yep, I was genuinely surprised to see this in Rebirth 2 too.
I'm just here for the memes.
Trivia: Vert will never get a little sister.
uhh what happen to Guts and Nisa ? why we can't have them as a DLC characters in re;birth series
yus, my Plutie/Iris Heart's music theme. 💖x1,000,000
Bill Ching God she’s bloody different in the two forms.
i never knew the lead designer was a female. i always thought they where a male as the uhrm shares on some of the girls are quite large
Some ladies like big boobs too, as it happens. I won't speak for Mizuno-san, but Tsunako has made it pretty clear that she's interested in feminine features. I'm happy for them either way, they made some strong and cool girls who aren't afraid of being sexy too.
Nice
Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 1/2/3
Megadimension Neptunia VIIRebirth
Are you sure Neptune hums the FF level up theme? I think it is meant to be the dragon quest level up jingle.
Neptune actually doesn’t hum the level up theme for final fantasy but instead it’s from Dragon Quest
she did hum the final fantasy tune in the games, but in VII it went over to S-Sha
Gizoid2987 oh really? That’s cool! V II is my first so I only know that she hums the level up theme from dragon quest instead of FF
Does anyone know if their will be a season 2 of neptunia???????
Zanewhite V Doubtful. But we can hope.
There are rules for box art imposed by the ESRB. No tits on store shelves, basically.
4:30 I will fight anyone who disses Uzume and Kurome's character designs. Speaking as a massive lover of the art of character design, both Uzumes have *amazing* character designs that integrate both characterisation, foreshadowing story twists, and meta references to the point where I saw Uzume's design before playing VII and I was able to correctly identify her personality and style with about a 90% accuracy, which is a hallmark of fantastic design. And Kurome... good god, Kurome has one of the most underappreciated character designs I've seen in a while, it's AMAZING. I could go on for paragraphs upon paragraphs about the Uzumes' designs.
Uzume's character design at the start is all over the place. Her references are on point tho.
Mm. Uzume's character design is all over the place. This is very brilliant on three levels. The open shirt and the skirt held up by straps create the image of not only somebody who doesn't care very much about her appearance, but also as somebody who is unable to either afford or, in Uzume's case, find properly fitting clothes due to having to scavenge for supplies in the apocalyptic Zero Dimension. Her apparent lack of care for her appearance combined with her hard-knuckled gloves and buttons on her leg warmers, her messy hair, and her outfit's asymmetry generate a very tomboyish image too. However, what's brilliant about this is that the character design reflects how this tomboyish nature is a facade to her more girlish side as her outfit is also very specifically arranged to have a proper fashion sense about it, as her asymmetry actually follows a pattern with her right arm and left leg having an orange and black stripe motif, while her left arm and right leg are solid black and more covered than the other limbs, creating an X shape in her outfit (each line reflecting a theme) which is itself referenced in the X pattern on her tie, all displaying a solid structure and order in her anarchic style just as there is a girlish Orange Heart behind the tomboyish Uzume. The outfit also has serious contrasts to the character designs of both Orange Heart and Kurome that reflect both personality and foreshadow plot twists down the line.
This is character appearance not design.
It is both. Character design is largely the process of conveying information about characters, which Uzume's appearance does, creating overlap between her character appearance and character design.
No, char design is a termin covering three topics - appearance, personality, development.
Appearance covers two parts of a character - the way a character looks and the way a character is introduced. Appearance can change depending on the development, including the way a character introduces itself to other character.
Personality covers itself and can change sometimes depending on the development.
Development covers the interactions of the character with the surrounding area, including other characters and events, and the reasons leading to the character's changes.
In Neptunia's case personality is often unchanged and their development is mostly minimal throughout the games with the exception of characters with amnesia, the CPU sisters and Rei. The literal appearance of a character never changes (aside from transformations which can be viewed as a different character that never changes his appearance aswel).
Which leads me to my first reply and your first reply. I said her character design *at the start* is all over the place. Her references are on point tho. Meaning: At the introduction of someone a character design has yet to receive his development because he has yet to interact with..well anything. Meaning when I say her character design *at the start* is all over the place means a character has inconscistency within introductory appearance and personality. My second sentence says her references are on point tho, meaning her literal appearance as a design with references and description of said character is fine. Here comes your reply defending Uzume on a topic that I even added an extra sentence to aknowledge it's fine. Why.
I see adult Nep I click I'm that simple.😘
3:30 why I'm not surprised?
Disagreement with number 9:
It sounds more like the level-up jingle from the Dragon Quest series.
As far as I know, Final Fantasy didn't have a level-up jingle.
Oh
5:08 where was that from
Where did you get the thumbnail?
Neptunia is so beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I don't have a PS3 (or any console), so I wasn't particuarly interested in the first 3 games. Also, don't care about cover art since PC games don't have covers anymore anyway.
However, it was nice to hear the thing about Neptunes name being hard to pronounce -- I never really got that joke. While I don't know whether your explanation is the correct one, it could very well be, and it makes sense anyway. So, thanks :-)
That's the Dragon Quest level up music, not Final Fantasy
okay okay here me out. Because this fact is gonna glow you away... The characters are based on video game companies... Mind Blown...
You missed the most important bit of trivia, Blanc is best girl
You say every game has been remade, and I know Rebirth1 is supposed to be a remake of the original, but it kinda isn't. The gameplay isn't the same, nor is the story the same. It doesn't even revamped models of the old monster assets or dungeon layouts, but instead uses the re-used ones from future games. The only thing it keeps is the premise.
I'm a simple guy....
I see Adult Nep, I click.
Hmm anyone remember how in the original ps3 hyperdimension when Neptune straight up murders someone?
When was that. I dont remember.
