Man, I still remember perfectly the first time where I have listened to this. Put the cd in the player, layed down on my bed not expecting anything, and one hour later, felt as if I had just been through an incredible journey. What a discovery. Still one of my favorite records.

By the way, yes the number of samples you quoted is round about correct, but there are several samples that didn't get cleared. There's a version of the album floating around called the 'Zomba Promo' which includes these samples as well as an extra song. You think the transitions are good? On the promo version they're even better.
Incase you haven't, now you've got to listen to "Endtroducing...." By "DJ Shadow". I'm not going to reveal anything about the album but it's one of my favorites of all time.
It's funny to hear you mention MF DOOM. The Avalanches didn't release another album after this for 16 years, and the first single on the second album features DOOM and Danny Brown on vocals
I highly recommend Heaven or Las Vegas by the Cocteau Twins to go into your pool of albums to listen to. I had heard of the Cocteau Twins before but only recently listened to that album and im shook by how good it is. Its a somewhat avant garde pop, dream pop shoegaze rock type album, and the vocalist Liz Fraser is insanely good. Her and Jeff Buckley were close, and my first listens to her feel like what you had with Jeff Buckley. So I strongly recommend.
You just dont miss with these album picks ❤. Try Flaming lips - the soft bulletin or my favourite of theirs Yoshimi battles the pink robots if you haven't heard them all ready.
Amusement park on fire 2005 album is a must. an underrated band you should listening to. Each song connects together in the whole album its so beautiful
Great reaction! Although, the 3,500 samples claim is a bit more complex. Some sources report that, at most, 3,500 samples were used during the production of the album, but realistically 900 (at most) were likely used. Still impressive. If that’s not enough, The Avalanches said in a few interviews that their follow up album Wild Flower actually contains MORE samples than SILY.
Alright. I'm following the vibe here and suggesting Balam Acab's "Wander/Wonder". It's atmospheric, but also soaking wet and really crunchy. Like if an album crawled out of the Mariana Trench.
And there's a leftover track that was supposed to be on this album called "with my baby". would've been one of the best if it was included. check it out
You are not afraid of checking weird music! I like that. After this you should check Frank Zappa's album "Lumpy gravy" from 1967. It consists of two pieces: Part One and Part Two! Actually no sampling unless he created them himself - otherwise a lot to compare with the Avalanches.
Hey man - I really admire what you’re doing with this channel; keep at it! Listen to ‘The Soft Machine’ by Soft Machine; I think you’d find it very unique and you’d like the drums.
yo, if you like electronic music from this era, i've got a really big album recommendation for you: Amon Tobin - Out From Out Where. crazy, deep electronics, but played like jazz. it's a sonic masterpiece that keeps you on your toes all the way through
The brains behind this album was basically an Aussie DJ called Dexter. Pity these guys got chaotic and never really did much else, because this is banging.
I'll agree that almost all of their music after this sucks, but it was definitley more than dexter. id consider darren the brains, but everyone did their part
this album choices are inmaculate wtfffff

Endtroducing is another great plunderphonics album
You're on a roll with these picks my guy 🔥🔥🔥
Blows my mind that Spotify can get the lyrics wrong on a track that is literally just repeating the same sentence over and over...
Incase you haven't, now you've got to listen to "Endtroducing...." By "DJ Shadow". I'm not going to reveal anything about the album but it's one of my favorites of all time.
Top review Dude. This album is a front to back masterpiece. The only way to listen to it is uninterrupted from beginning to end
That last sentence is concrete.
Smags should listen to the album in your pfp for sureeeeeeee
Yeah! Scott Walker - Scott 3 would probably blow his mind!@@dancingheroes

If you haven't listened before DJ Shadow's album Entroducving is made solely of samples and very influential.
You just dont miss with these album picks ❤. Try Flaming lips - the soft bulletin or my favourite of theirs Yoshimi battles the pink robots if you haven't heard them all ready.
"Y'know, flutes 'n' shit" - getting that on a t-shirt.

This is my favorite album for a fucking reason
You smashed it. One of my favourite albums of all time
Nice video like always
Great album
Yeah, an ingeniously constructed and wonderfully summery party album. Their other albums are of similar excellent quality.
Still hands down my favorite album ever
these guys made a song with mf doom and Danny brown on their next album
MF Doom is on one of the tracks from the 20th anniversary deluxe edition
Amusement park on fire 2005 album is a must. an underrated band you should listening to. Each song connects together in the whole album its so beautiful
I don’t know if you know but on the deluxe, they have MF DOOM rap over Tonight may have to last me all my life. Two of my top artists in 1
They did a nice live dj version of this album too.

A masterpiece of an album!
100% recommend their second album Wildflower, took a wild 16 years to create after the release of Since I Left You
We Will Always Love You ( 2020 ) is also a beautiful album.
Music recommandation: Animal collective - Feels
Alright. I'm following the vibe here and suggesting Balam Acab's "Wander/Wonder". It's atmospheric, but also soaking wet and really crunchy. Like if an album crawled out of the Mariana Trench.
one of the albums of all time AGAIN
And there's a leftover track that was supposed to be on this album called "with my baby". would've been one of the best if it was included. check it out
When he says "more horses" especially when you already heard the album, is hilarious
You are not afraid of checking weird music! I like that. After this you should check Frank Zappa's album "Lumpy gravy" from 1967. It consists of two pieces: Part One and Part Two! Actually no sampling unless he created them himself - otherwise a lot to compare with the Avalanches.
You're kinda like the GOAT of reaction youtubers with less than 2000 subs at this very moment
Thanks bro !
I love this album, thanks
The best album ever

Thank You !
yo, if you like electronic music from this era, i've got a really big album recommendation for you: Amon Tobin - Out From Out Where. crazy, deep electronics, but played like jazz. it's a sonic masterpiece that keeps you on your toes all the way through
Etoh is one of the best songs ever written.
You should give “Delaware” by Drop Nineteens next! a shoegaze classic!
Have you listened to Daft Punk's Discovery yet?
The brains behind this album was basically an Aussie DJ called Dexter. Pity these guys got chaotic and never really did much else, because this is banging.
Didn't do much else?? Their last 2 albums are great
@@muzikkification Agree. We will always love you is all bangers!
I'll agree that almost all of their music after this sucks, but it was definitley more than dexter. id consider darren the brains, but everyone did their part
You should listen to Model Soul by Nujabes
Lets fuckin GO
Let’s goooo
The song Tonight May Have To Last Me All My Life has a remix featuring MF DOOM, highly recommend checking it out
do Cocteau Twins next!
3000 samples used in this album. INsane.
You should listen Dynamo by Soda Stereo man. Shoegaze and electronic music.
Have a listen to the album “KY”, by the band Lemon Jelly.
Every day I pray you react to Nine Inch Nail’s The Downward Spiral
Further Down
Add' Destroy Rock and Roll by Mylo to the playlist.
