I've been playing the shit out of this, so gonna try to fill some holes here.
The red and blue line are most important parts. Red is torque, blue is power. U want just enough torque, because a gentle red lines means much easier handling.
Damping is a bad stat, and st most u should have 1 or 2 damping on ur car, it literally works against your handling, like in gran turismo.
Flywheels rule, ur car will shift much faster. Doesnt make much difference if u drive perfectly, but makes it so u dont need to manually downshift to accelerate after bumping into a wall.
Don't overdo it on downforce, it will start to hinder your car's handling as well. Light cars can't have enough downforce-protip

If your blue/red slopes are going inwards, that means u need more torque.

Plasma, and Winding ECUs have flywheel 1 built into them, imo making them easily best for early game. Flywheel+2 is the sweet spot, imo. But make sure u have at least +1
Although jackknife does make it easier to start a drift, it does this by making your tail end swing out more, making it more difficult to recover. The scudera12 chassis has a wide rear track, that acts similarly so imo the jackkmife is making your rear track wider.
Small body cars > large body in almost every single way except for needing damping and downforce more. But that's negligible compared to pros of small body car. rotary engine seems terrible with everything except small body. I guess they don't have enough torque for more weighty cars.
Only benefit I can find for RR is that they don't lose much speed going uphill, so they're solid in the Hakone region. If anyone finds more benefits to RR, please comment.
Chapter 8? the vehicle u get Kuniteshi's brown from, also has the type2400 chassis, which is easily the best FR chassis in the game, imo take the chassis. U can get his other items on last night.
I'll post more as I find, if any questions, or any more info to help understand stats, just add comment!

Thank you for sharing ! I have a few questions:
-how much does ground clearance help handling?
-are brake upgrades effective on handbrake?
-how much down force do you recommend?

      @fdig4373
no clue but I've heard it's more effective than you'd think
I'm not sure, but I thiiiiink brake speed does, but not brake effectiveness.
Depends on how fast you're going and the weight of car.
Light Cars need all the downforce.
      Heavier cars not so much.

Oh I didn't know there's a tutorial. I just figured it was just plug and play type deal but I pretty much know the basics of the game when it was still in its original Japanese. The fan translation that I also happen to own makes this game much more easier to do stuff/navigate.

Once turbos and chargers are introduced its plain impossible to keep blue and red lines as gentle slopes

Bruh, just make an balanced build, sometimes having too much power isn't good anyways, try combining various parts together to see if atleast is not much breaked up ya know, and there's actually no necessary need for "gentle slopes" cuz Friction-0 actually makes your build more smooth and "gentle"

Is this an in-game tutorial or fan-made?

It is an in-game tutorial, BUT there is no official release of this game in English, so the translation is fan made. I put some info in the description.
