How about no? I can't stand when people post that stupid crying-laugh smiley at everything--it should be phased out. This isn't funny. The company could have done something else with the money funneled into this game's production--like donate to charity and get a tax write-off.
Producer: Alright Jon we've been hard at work on all the tech for our new totally normal racing game "Racing Lagoon!" We're got the street races, the drift races, the open world stuff, even the snowy mountaintop race which I assume is the story's dramatic climax! Can't wait to see that script! Jon, mumbling: The moon that never sleeps is about to awaken something inexplicable from within me Producer: What was that? Jon: Nothing
I checked the Japanese play through, this play through has the true ending missing. I don't know what it takes but after Aoi Kawashima race there is a race against your 10 year ago self. You'd be racing the blue version of yourself, driving a non-Diablo Zeta300, for a chance to have your hidden consciousness come back to combine with your current consciousness and resolve everything truly.
I watched this whole fucking thing and I'm left kinda speechless? The racing looks iffy at best and the story is so over the top for a racing game as to be comical, and yet I was totally locked in on the story through these last few hours and was a touch sad once it ended.... I don't even know if I liked it but I can damn sure say I'll *remember* it.
So Kenzo had ambition of becoming the leader of BLR some fateful day. I thought his storyline just faded into obscurity after he got beat up. That's good to know
It was a pretty common trope in these kinda things that a driver would be so connected to their car that they'd sort of possess it or be possessed by it, and both would have supernatural driving ability as a result. It's pretty goofy and I think it's largely swiped from older mecha animes, but it does work as a way of explaining how someone can just seem to make a car do things that an average person could never make it do.
Can anyone explain to me why Sho's past self went so mad that he killed several DiabloZeta drivers when they were victims of D-Project and Diablo drugs? I just don't find it a sensible reaction to just went mad and killing people just because you found out your suppose lover only want him to use the drugs and how much it defiled racing, it's like he's some sort of cultist who has a religious reverance to racing to the point he would kill anyone who disrespect it.
Here's the second half of Racing Lagoon, and wow does it try to take itself seriously 🤣 Just check out that cutscene at 1:16:30!

I've seen stupider stuff in the Fast and Furious franchise, quite frankly.
This game is, too good for what it actually is. I can't help but to love watching this.

True lol)
Lotus Europa with the Type-c aero kit is one of the best looking cars in the game.

how do you even achieve it? beating all events?
its for achieving the Crazy Driver title
@@astral5228 how do you do that?

It's related to how many times you finish/win UORs. I can't believe SquareSoft thought of it either, truth be told.
@@genmeriphoton7655It's UORs + some of the optional events in the nights, but UORs give more "points" towards it

Man that story takes a hard left turn outta nowhere lol
Right? I was totally like wtf through the last few hours of it.
Gotta love when it goes from being a racing RPG to a SquareSoft game outta nowhere lol
I’m getting Kaido Racer 2 flashbacks at the Hakone level

He even gets the very final scene of this game(not shown in the video though; you have to beat ALL of the UORs for that bit)
Minor fun fact for 2:04:13 - the "swap race"(MACHINE-TRADE) opponent actually has fixed stats;
you don't really have to de-tune your car beforehand.
forever classic
Bravo HillTop. 😊👍
