You get that set up and you’re laughing! Two class cameras both excellent in their perspective field. Nice to have nailed down digital and analog! Jealous you have an mp
Enjoyed this! I've been shooting the M6 with both the 35mm and 50mm Voigtlander lenses. Grew up with a 50mm attached to my Nikon FE2 so I'm always drawn to that focul length. I loved how you engaged with people. I've been pushing myself to do more street portraits and am surprised at how open people are. Great content! Subbed!
Ahh man thanks for taking the time to comment. Sounds like you have a rich history with photography. It’s very welcomed here! Iv never been one for a 50mm, I think I would need to train my mind. As for moving imagery I still always preferred the 35mm crossed with 85mm rather than the 24 and 50. Those Voigtlander are beyond value for money!! So so good and also enjoyable to use
Almost everything looks awesome in B&W! But out of the entire day if I had to flip an image from its original colour I think your right, that would be the one!
Hi Jamie, love this, my picks are the chap in the window….looks like you startled him!! And then the lady smoking in the park. How do you like the Gold?
Really like it when people tell me their favourite frames. It’s a nice insight and everyone likes different ones for different reasons! So thank you. I love good. I think due to costs as well it’s my go to film stock but it is seasonal here in the UK. Love Portra too but that’s an obvious choice! Any stocks you favour?

That’s very honest of you. Sometimes I feel it’s the photographers energy and behaviours that allow that energy to be reflected in the subject. So as someone like yourself who may handle themselves with a calmness and softer approach, you may be able to bring out a side completely different to your subject which may not be achieved by someone with my approach. So it’s interesting to think how your shots would have turned out in these situations. I’m sure you would have caught some goodens. J
On the contrary. I like your style, so direct and uncompromising, clear and bold. I want to take pictures of people in the same open way, but I'm afraid of their negative reactions and the consequences that will follow after I intrude on their personal space. @@K.San.S_20 conflicts happen rarely however they do happen. I am always incredibly nice and polite which is a natural reaction but also there to diffuses the situation…. If the softness and forgiveness doesn’t come in from the subject then I turn it on and stand tall. I’m shooting with a Q3 and planning to get an M6. What’s your feeling about TTL? Do you use your light meter? Coming from a 28mm with the Q, would you suggest buying the same focal length with M6 or go 35mm? Cheers!
@@elliotresnick5433 is the Q3 your first Leica? Mine was a Q2Mono. From there I lent in hard to Leica! True it is the gateway. A few years later I bought the M6 and I bought the 35mm…. Hated it! As soon as I got the 28mm I found the love again. Love 28 and love 50 but not a fan of 35, not wide enough and not tight enough. Kinda can’t make its mind up. So if you like the Q3 then I’d play with going for a 28mm. Voigtlander offers good 28s as well which are good size.
Frankly I’m not “feeling” the 28mm of the Q3. I usually go out shooting with both my Q3 and iPhone with its variable focal lengths, I seem to snap more pics between 32mm and 50mm so maybe 40mm or 45mm is my sweet spot.
Such a great camera to use and to just look at when at home on a shelf! Makes you want to pick it up everyday. If you can save for one I believe it feeds the soul and in doing so improves you as a photographer. What are you shooting on at the moment?
Leica cameras aren’t all that. It’s the Leica glass that dominates the other brands. Sony needs to work on their colour science. They make everyone look like they’ve been tangoed! However you can’t knock there auto focus and low light capabilities. For that… they lead the market by a long distance! 3x the cost is a small price to pay for a camera I want to use every day. A Sony would be a paperweight for me. If Leica didn’t exist I would go straight to Canon. Then Nikon before even looking at Sony.
Mate…. Anywhere is expensive compared to New York! America get all the best sh*t! Mr Cad is the best shop. Right now (26th March) Jessops are doing a class deal on Kodak Gold 35mm.
